This is superb! I know there are a few wee jumpy bits but I shall be watching this again and sharing with family and friends. Thank you very much for sharing this x
It’s great too see this footage, brings back a lot of memories. I used to work off Gourock station in the 80’s, when I was a Guard on the trains between Gourock, Glasgow and Wemyss Bay. British Rail was never the same after the trains became single manned. Also my uncle was a Driver and I still have a few friends who still work at Gourock. I’ve worked away from Scotland for about 20 years now but it’s great to see home. Thanks for posting the clip, it’s much appreciated.
Thank you Gerry for nice comments Much appreciated have wee look about my channel you may enjoy other uploads from that area Take care stay safe Alrx 🍷🍷🍷👍👍
Thanks for posting this, the 4MT tank is still my favourite locomotive and the earliest locomotive that I can remember at Balloch running up to Glasgow with our next door neighbour being the driver
Another great video Alrx, I love your collection of old films. I was brought up in Hurlford, Ayrshire, My uncles worked at Hurlford sheds and used to take me to see the locos. They used to sound the whistles to bring in the New year.
