Say it to me slow. Say it with your eyes. How to let it slide. Swear I can see you coming up the drive . There ain't nothing like regret to remind you you're alive. I crossed a canyon a thousand times and never knew what was mine.
He as in Clapton jams this whole thing. He made this song so much. She is good with me but definitely the handler Eric does the damn thing. Wow and whoa
@@anthonymichaelkerr5761 The slide guitar chops Eric did in this song are incredible, I particularly liked the wailing 2nd verse which was throaty and very gutsy.
She’s one of the greatest singer songwriters of our generation and this is one of my favorite SC songs but she sure looked different wearing a dress back then
A wonderfully heartbreaking song, but it’s Eric Clapton’s guitar solo that brings tears to my eyes. He played it so beautifully and it fits the song so well….one of the best solos ever.
Steve Gadd just add that perfect tempo and just adds astronomical talent on the skins! Eric and Steve are an incomparable duo in support of any artist that enters their stage...
Hearing ECs guitar crying like that would bring out the best in sny singer. She raised her game big time. Listen to Sheryl and Eric perform " Just Another Morning ".
OMG PRICELESS!!! And in all these years I’ve never heard this version! As much as I love Sarah McLaughlin, I’d trade her for EC and his guitar in a second!!! Drawn to this now b/c I’m reading Clapton’s autobiography and actually never realized they were an official couple.
I had heard that MY FAVORITE MISTAKE was about Eric and these songs were written when they broke up. Not sure if it's true but I remember hearing it back then...
One of her best songs and underappreciated. They lyrics are just devastating, like Ball Breaking Moon. And the lyric Babe I've Changed, in so many relationships you want to believe it, but is it really true?
It's a great song and Eric's slide is "just right" (as usual). I like watching the keyboard guy David Delhomme. He's having a great time with a bird's eye view AND getting paid as well. Every track's the same.

Crow and Clapton play off each other very nicely. White Room Live at Madison Square Garden (?) is also very good. I didn't notice it at first, but David Sanborn is off to the side playing sax - I actually can't hear his horn in this mix, but I'm sure he was spot on, as he always is. I love the look Clapton gives her after the unusually long pause around 4:10; like he wants to say, "Sheryl, Everything OK?" Great recording.
I'm not taking anything away from Sheryl Crow (one of the very few "country" artists since the 1960s that I actually enjoy, btw), I do have to say that Awesomeness is when you can play backup to someone else's hit song and still steal the show.
Listen to Eric Clapton's playing and tell me he's not the greatest guitar player to ever walk the planet. If you don't realize it you're crazy. Jimi Hendrix was great but could not read music and Eddie Van Halen was great but could not read music and they both checked out early. Eric Clapton is the greatest guitarist to ever touch the planet. Bottom line. End of story.
The Clapton's sound on that slide guitar is simply beyond this world...
Cuts to the core. Sheryl is a brilliant singer. Band is in top form. Eric's slide. Speechless.
Say it to me slow. Say it with your eyes. How to let it slide. Swear I can see you coming up the drive . There ain't nothing like regret to remind you you're alive. I crossed a canyon a thousand times and never knew what was mine.
Who likes this?? Cmon I need to know!!
Clapton is phenomenal standing humbly in the background elevating this song to another level. Always come back to this version.

@@johnconstantinides right 👍 on bro. Clapton does this justice ⚖️💯..even Sheryl sings like a charm.
Me too❤
I absolutely remember seeing this back in 1999 and this song really stood out. To this day this is the definitive way to hear it.

Couldn’t agree more. I am biased but my god, Eric’s contribution elevates Sheryl’s performance even higher
Omg. Such a unforgettable song for me. ❤
She’s one of the greatest singer songwriters of our generation and this is one of my favorite SC songs but she sure looked different wearing a dress back then
Clapton honored to collaborate on one of the most beautiful compositions ever by Sheryl Crow
Absolutely the best version of this song
great version....but Sheryl Crow and Shelby Lynne's version is fire!
Nobody else like Cheryl Crow

Definitely heartbreaking song for me, but I’d love to hear it again live 2024
Were they still dating at this time?
Been loving this song for as long as can remember.
This is the best version, no question

Eric solo with the slide is just sick
My favorite Sheryl Crow song & 😮 it with EC. Epic
Clapton and Cheryl Crow just can’t do anything wrong!! Love them together😎😎
I'm a huge Sheryl fan, Ca Caw Ca Caw !!!
Best arrangement of this song! Eric adds a lot!
What a wonderful complent of having David Sanborn's dulcet horns!!
Great song…amazing slide by Clapton
very throaty and wailing as expected.
Sheryl Crow and Eric Clapton, sounding so damn good 🎉🎉. They both look fantastic up there playing music 🎶 🎵 together 🎉🎉
Talent beyond measure
of course ...clapton is there
Timeless Classic🔥
What a voice voice
With Clapton playing slide, it makes me think, with the vibe of this song, it could have fitted seamlessy onto Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs.
One of her best songs and underappreciated. They lyrics are just devastating, like Ball Breaking Moon. And the lyric Babe I've Changed, in so many relationships you want to believe it, but is it really true?
That’s respect and class for Eric Clapton.

Essa música ela fez pra Clapton, assim como quase todo álbum globe sesson, que foi quando eles terminaram o romance: por isso essa intensidade

She's rumoured to have written this song for Eric he's her favorite mistake should almost be awkward for him to play backup for it but it's not.
I think, the sax' player is david sanborn
Sound almost exactly like Skynyrds I'm coming Home
