You need to say oh, we only got a little bit to do. Look at all that we have already done. Look at all the work we've done. We are almost done only a little bit more. Instead of looking at it like all I still have a lot to do. Look what you have done. It's beautiful. You only have a little more to do. You have done so much already. Keep up the good work. It looks beautiful.

Given the labor-intensive and repetitious demands of this phase of the project, I think you've held up quite well. I don't hear any whining. In fact, I appreciate your candor, and that's one of the many reasons I've tuned in for all of your vids, and will continue to do so until the completion of this masterpiece. It's all good, and you're good at it. Thank you!

I know I'm late to the party here but Kris, this is the greatest series I've ever had the pleasure of watching. It's a shame how some youtubers spend 20 mins and get millions of views and then you spend 3+ days just for one video. I am binge watching everything of yours. I can't wait to see the completed build.

yes Kris, straw bales would have been easier without a doubt. but through your hard work and determination you have constructed a super little cabin in nestled in a lovely little spot in wonderful wales. this is how you both wanted it and you so nearly have it now. if it had been built of straw it would not have been what you wanted, not really. stick in there it will all prove worthwhile. you might be cheesed off with it now but on that first stay in the completed article it will all be in the past and there will be NO regrets. it is brill to watch . Please moan away we all hear you and feel the pain with you. thanks for sharing as you said getting close now.

having spent two years building my own house - I promise you, all building is labour intensive. What you get at the end of it is worth it, so worth it. With your construction method you will have a great home that fits its environment perfectly. looks beautiful. I saw a video of a chap making cob using a digger in a hole he dug. Very fast!!

Good morning Kris. (its Sat.morning here in Canada), I faithfully have been watching your videos of your wonderful cord/cob build. You are doing just a wonderful job. I hear what you say that this is a very difficult & tedious process for you. Look @ what you have accomplished Kris!! Yes it has been hard & I know you want to be done but the hard work is part of your journey. You have educated us every step of the way. Being honest here is a great thing. Maybe the other builds you watched prior to starting were done with a bigger team, who knows. Your house is a beautiful representation of the work you & Alana have been working towards. I wish you both all the best. Take your time, this too is so important part of your journey towards your home. Cheers

While refitting a little old boat and living on it, I'm working my way through all your videos (for inspiration). I had to pause the playlist at this point and my two pence' worth:
The house is looking absolutely beautiful and you have worked constantly on it like some kind of man possessed -- most of us would only dream of doing something as epic as this.
Don't beat yourself up about the 'living with the benefits of an unfair society' situation -- your videos are much more of a contribution to that society than you give yourself credit for. Maybe enough people will feel empowered enough by witnessing this kind of lifestyle that the status quo of modern society might slowly shift towards a fairer, more equal, simpler one.
Top work, mate. I take my hat off to you...

I just spent the summer patching up an old mud walled house on my own. It's hard dull work and I've come to the same conclusion as you - building with natural materials is a group activity, three people at least, one mixing , one carrying and one applying. Even with straw bale you'd have to mix up a LOT of plaster and really work it into those bales, inside and out... Never tried it but I can't believe it's not pretty tough too.

One question. Having looked at buying some woodland in England and being despondent at the horrible PP restrictions. How has this been working out for you in Wales?
