for topaz i use my m1 macbook :) and i have a gtx1650 for rendering the edits (takes anywhere from 8-20mins depending on the edit)

Hey have a question may sound weird but hope i can get help, so i use ae22 and we both have the same render settings but the thing is when i first render before adding it to topaz i render on quicktime since i got no mp4 on it, i render on quicktime and convert to mp4 through ME. What i wanna ask is, does the quality get effected by rendering so many times? cause it really is much for me since i got no mp4 in the first place IN ae. I know i could use ME but it affect the appearance somehow thats why i wanna stick rendering in a. Does it affect it badly?

the CC loses its quality and the text loses its depth if you topaz with them active, since topaz uses edge detection so it would look bad since it would mess everything up and mix it…

if you’re on a budget look for laptops, since a pc will have a lot of peripherals aswell like mouse,keyboard,monitor,headphones & etc… so if you can afford that go for low specs but if you cannot just go ahead buy a budget gaming laptop those perform well too.
key points:
- atleast 8gb ram but i’d recommend 16
- a good ssd for caching frames for preview
- don’t need a powerful gpu but a powerful cpu

does using handbrake after rendering on ae really matter? I’m new to topaz and after effects so can I render my video as an MP4 on ae and upload it to yt or tt or does that take away from the quality?
mp4 is a high compression codec so if you upload it just rendered out in mp4 socials will compress it further. whereas quicktime (MOV) has lower compression so once you render it out in high quality with less compression you can use handbrake to convert and compress the size since handbrake reduces the size with minimal compression. This helps maintain the quality once uploaded to give your video that boost to catch eyes.
