I remembered close to twenty years ago when my oldest son was just about out of high school and started playing guitar, he would talk about all of the guitarists he was listening to at the time. I took him to my album collection and took out albums by John McLaughlin and Jeff Beck. I let my son listen to Beck's Blow by Blow and Wired, and my son was blown away. Diamond Dust is still one of my favorite Beck jams to this day. Jeff Beck will forever be in the top ten of greatest guitar players out there.
Of course Jeff Beck was a Legend, and rightfully so. But Vinnie Colaiuta's drumming is killer and deserves much greater name recognition when discussing greatest drummers of modern times.

The thing about Jeff is his music is so much more than technique. I feel like he's able to make us hear exactly what he's hearing - how many musicians can really do that?
Well, I'm always completely in awe of Jeff. But Jeez Louise, Vinnie is just so completely of fire here. "Stratus" is astounding. Bravo for all of 'em, and it's cool to see Jason Rebello here gracefully providing the keyboard textures.
In 2010 I was able to see Jeff Beck in concert and I still remember the impressive sound of his guitar, and of course his entire band. Unforgettable, and without a doubt one of the best Musicians in history. ❤

He played so many different styles and all the songs have rhythm, but I'm sure some of that is due to the amazing drummer-he's a monster also. Man, sure wish I would have seen this cat live... My favourite guitarist since high school. Saw him live several times, and celebrated his extraordinary brilliance throughout my life. I was crushed when he died, but, unlike my other rock heroes, he doesn’t elicit sadness because he, and his endless puckish creative spirit is with me every day. It’s a strange reaction, perhaps, but that’s okay; I can see remarkable videos like this. Thanks. This made my day.

Spellbinding! Easily one of the greatest guitarist ever. This and Live at Ronnie Scott's concerts are must watch concerts before one dies. Timeless!
