- Here's Yet Another 10 Small Details in Red Dead Redemption 2... Well here I am again with even more details from RDR2, putting us to a total of 190 covered and yes I still know of more but I might return to them at a later stage, either way I hope you enjoy the video!

Red Dead Redemption 2 is a Western-themed action-adventure video game developed and published by Rockstar Games. The game is a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption, and the third entry in the Red Dead series. Set in 1899, it follows the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. After a botched ferry heist, Dutch van der Linde and his gang, which includes Arthur Morgan and a young John Marston, are forced to flee their hideout in Blackwater and attempt to cross the mountains west to evade law enforcement. In order to fund their escape, Dutch has the gang rob a train belonging to the wealthy oil magnate Leviticus Cornwall. A furious and vengeful Cornwall then hires the Pinkerton Detective Agency, who send Agents Milton and Ross to apprehend the gang. As a result, the gang is forced to be constantly on the move to stay one step ahead them. All the while, Morgan and the rest of the gang continually have to perform numerous jobs and heists to keep the gang funded as Dutch continually promises one last, big heist that will secure their freedom.

Imagine how many hours of dialogue go unheard by even the most thorough player
Even San Andreas has unheard dialogue imagine this game
Well considering this game supposedly has 500,000 recorded lines of spoken dialogue (that doesn't include efforts like grunts, screams, etc.) Even if we were to average each line to just 1 second long, it would still take around 120 hours straight just to listen to it all.
They put their heart and soul into this game jesus

It’s not just amazing that Dutch writes his speech notes. It’s amazing that he changes and improves it! Also, Butcher.
It's a nice touch to his character who manipulates people regularly,
Yes he does write a "in the moment speech" early on but yet does say it out loud word for word

@@DocTwoEight Finally! This is exactly what I thought. Just because you put yourself first, doesn't mean you don't care about the rest. That's the difference between Micah and Dutch.
Dutch was good in the beginning but following Hosea's and Molly's death he went insane. Also he knew Micah was the rat he was with Micah so that he can kill Micah and run away with the money that's why at the final mission when John asked Dutch "What are you doing here Dutch?" he replied "Same as you, I Suppose" John was there to kill Micah and so do Dutch.

The other day someone asked me if RDR2 was worth buying in 2021 and I almost laughed. This game has so much depth even I, having bought in launch, find new stuff to this day.
I ain't surprised since many people buy gta solely for online which is stupid they probably migrated to rdr

Playing my second run through now. Going extremely slow and paying attention to as much as I can. I can't believe what I missed.
Ive got some more for you x
1. Arthur will be more quite talking to his horse if there are enemies near like bounty hunters.
2. Hogtied people will attempt an escape if arthurs back is turned but when arthur turns to them they stop
3. Seeing your breath in the cold
4. If you shoot and reload your double barrel after you shoot the shell will eject with heat. But if you fire and wait for your barrel to cool the shells eject with no gun smoke.
5. If you shoot an oil wagons barrel it will leak and cause a puddle on the ground. The leakage can also be spilled on arthur if he stand below it.
Edit 1 extra: the ps4 pad led goes orange when using dead eye, flashes red and white when wanted and finally flash white each time your are shot.

Maybe not the best story - Bioshock and Silent Hill 2 had much more in-depth stories, but i agree with RDR2 being the most realistic

True I tried this on my Dream and it said the same. Mission Failed - Rat (Micah) Died.
One detail i noticed was when Arthur or his horse steps over a cactus plant he gets hurt. U can even see Arthur's face.

Also another detail: if you ignore strauss after he says "you busy my friend?" He will say "i know your ears are working arthur"
And in clemens point if you ignore futchs mission he will say "alright well then suit yourself, come back later"
I love the relaxing music in the background. It blends with the game so well I can't even remember if it's in the game or not.

as it fades to black after the Mrs. finally gets put to justice for her wicked ways being burned to death in the grave she made to dispose of her murders. Very tasteful indeed.

There's so many combinations of dialogue it's actually insane. If you're mean to the camp with blood, they'll insult that you have blood on you. If you walk away and antagonise people mention that as well. It's crazy

"killing rats gives you honor" well it doesnt seem like you get honor when you kill the biggest one (in the epilogue ending)
The bell in Rhodes actually can ring if you shoot it, and will sound different depending on what you hit it with. Yes you can throw knives at it as well and make it ring
It also rings more or less depending on if you shoot it at the top or the bottom

Not sure if you have covered this but if you look at the characters when they drink a beer or whiskey you can see them swallow and their Adams apple move. Also when you aim down the sights of a gun your character closes one eye, And depending on if you look into the sun or not their pupils expand.

Finding Dutch's speech notes is such a damn beautiful detail. Stuff like this is why this game, to be fair, HAS to be in the top 5 when talking about the category of games with the best/most developed characters.
