Resident Evil 2 is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. The game follows rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they attempt to escape from Raccoon City during a zombie apocalypse. It is a remake of the 1998 game Resident Evil 2.

There's a detail that caught my attention, Claire's and Leon's clothes becomes more and more dirtier through the game and also their faces begin to be covered on dust .
Yes! I loved that.
But it's not a dynamic/optional detail.
It's just a costume change after a cutscene.
Uncharted 4 for example had dynamic dirt

Sometimes, I changed the dirty clothes for the same ones on the costumes menu, and they cleaned my dirt and blood.
Then, after some of those cutscenes, no matter how much I changed them they were still dirty.
So... Yes and no, I guess?

The RE Engine is amazing. The light coming through the bullet holes is an example of how amazing it is. Also the wounds on the zombies really make this a true zombie experience.

Capcom did an amazing job on the physics of the bullets.
@@bagboygino It is annoying sinking a whole mag in to a undead's noggin and yet they still keep coming. But I think it is to do with balance. With the over shoulder view making aiming a lot easier than the fixed camera and tank controls, one headshot kills would make the game a breeze and it would lose it's survial horror aspect. So it is great that severing limbs and the use of the knife are an essential part of this game more than previous titles in the series.

Only seen regular zombies take 7 shots to the head sometimes on Hardcore. Otherwise it aint even that bad.
@@bagboygino actually since zombies aren't real, it's open for them to do what they want. in the walking dead for example half zombies are still alive, the same goes with all zombies that were not hit directly on their brains. capcom decided to make the way they wanted, hell they even could make invincible zombies since it's open to imagination

1. Zombie tripped over dead body or other zombie body on the floor.
2. Mr.X push or sometime punch other zombie out of his way when he chase you.
3. Zombie can't break the doors if they're crawling on the floor.

In the original game, due to the developers' poor English skill and lack of localization, the WELLCOME banner was spelled with two Ls. In the remake, this is corrected to WEL COME. Notice there's a clear gap between L and C as a nod to the old game. Even more amazing, there's an extra L laying on a table near by.

I just realized it's 2 different footage, before the zombie changed there was no dead body in front of Leon, but afterwards there is one. Nice edit tho

Through a Leon playthrough take a shot everytime he says “What the?”
I like the constant hurting facial expressions when health is low, also the subtle but injury indicating flailing of one arm while running when health is in yellow condition. Way more subtle than the overall physique when health is read. Shows off a weakened state very well
Cool little detail I love is the damage that appears on Leon and Claire. And the fact that the damage also appears in cutscenes. I ended the Leon B scenario with large claw marks on his upper right shoulder in the ending cutscene.
One of the things I think it's amazing is that wherever you kill a zombie, they stay in the same place, right were you killed them.

Mr. X has a lovely bit of animation where he'll crack his own neck and then his knuckles as though he is psyched to beat you like a pinata. Its ads just a skoosh of personality to an otherwise silent antagonist.

@@bobalmighty7073 a flash to me is a sudden burst of light that then then ends, when you use a 'flashlight' it doesn't flash it just stays on until you turn it off, I suppose it is a sudden 'flash' that then stays on to provide 'light' so maybe that's where the word comes from.

This is the amount of details you get to see in those console exclusives like UC4, HZD, Read Dead 2, GoW 4 and some few like GTA 4 and 5. Glad they are making their way into pc gaming.
All that detail on Ada, and all I can think about is " shes using sunglasses inside...during the night".

but this time there are 4-5 of them like tofu, flan ,etc with their own set of equipment

when leon first deals with the alligator in the sewer, the waterline stops at his torso, showing anything above as dry. This same effect was used in gta 5

The only detail I didn't notice was that light shines through bullet holes. Nice catch. This game is great. I've played it pretty much non stop since it came out. I've beaten both scenarios for each character at least 3 times now. It's a lot of fun.
The only one i doesn't noted was the lantern on the shoulder, amazing!

I have a another point for you. The reflections on the Desert Eagle are real time reflections, so the complete world reflects on the chrome finish, pretty awesome in my opinion.
