Really nice video, thank you! So glad to see BA have improved their Club service, it needed it. I'm flying with them soon, trans-Atlantic and I hope this new product will be on my flights. Thank you again!
Alan Stuart Thank you for your feedback, it's good to hear you enjoyed the video. I never did the old club world but from pictures and videos I have seen this is an improvement. I think it's ORD and BOS to see the updates next so depending on where your flying too!
Nice video and great report. I like the new business service it looks really nice. This reminds me of my BA business class flight from London to Toronto in July/August :)
I flew the new club world product on the trial last year between LHR-JFK. The meal service wasn't done from the trolley, more waiter served. Only the desserts were trolleyed, had fantastic cabin crew and they were saying it's all an improvement but takes a long time (dinner didn't end until over halfway into the flight - 4 hours), they obviously decided trolley was quicker but does block the aisles now. The food itself was fantastic, couldn't fault any part of it. Breakfast on the return red eye flight was not great, if you have time when returning to LHR i'd suggest taking the extra hour sleep and having breakfast in the arrivals lounge. Along with the shower pods it's a great way to feed and freshen up in the morning after landing. The seat isn't the best layout as many suggest, before takeoff i had my tray table down but away from me with my welcome drink on, the person in the seat in front obviously moved the wrong way at the wrong time and disturbed the footrest of my seat which came unlocked, falling down, hitting my tray table and sending my drink all over me. I was not impressed, luckily had a change of clothes which i did before takeoff, crew were great and there was 2 more drinks waiting for me. If i didn't have clothes in a carry on this would have been a much worse flight - lesson learned! On the plus of the seat, the window seats are great for red eye flights, very private and a great undisturbed sleep.
Dan Keene Ahh interesting. Thanks for sharing your experience. I think it had been implemented for about a month when I experienced it and was only the JFK route. I expect they were experimenting with what was working and what wasn't working. I didn't experience the old club world meal service so I can't give a comparison, but on a day time flight I'm quite happy with a relaxed service, what else is there to do apart from Eat? On a short night time flight, I can fully understand why someone would want to not eat and sleep instead. Sorry to hear about an unfortunate experience, sadly these things happen!

Coming back from Antigua in business (with an upgrade to 1st cabin) late December 2017 I couldn't even eat the food. Must have been a phased launch of the new dining.
Looks like a huge improvement for me in terms of meals! This reminds me of my last BA flight, they ran out of dessert and I only got a banana.. Thanks for the video, it's great! Are you a frequent flyer with them? you were very lucky to score an upgrade!
One World Flyer Thank you for the compliment. I never experienced old club world but judging by the review's I've watched on youtube it's an improvement. I have no status with BA so I'm not sure how this happened! I did use my avios to upgrade the return to Club though.
I don't find anything wrong at all with B.A.'s club world seats. The screen gives you total privacy from the other passenger near you and I always manage to sleep on the converted bed for at least 6/7 hours (Long haul GRU/LHR) Meals can vary but never less than very good.
cameronpaul I sat in a window seat on the return and agreed, it does give you good privacy. Meals and staff good on both sectors. Everybody has a different opinion though i guess.
claus stimpfig I agree, I flew this flight and business class in April. Service was excellent. The seats probably need upgrading as now dated since other airlines have bettered this class.
But some will fly backward and the business class seating involves staring at your seatmate (unless the little screen is raised fully). Do I have that right? If so, all the bedding (which I don't use on daylight flights anyway) or improved food means nada to me. Give me a more private suite environment when flying solo. BA is great for couples, and not so good for solo travelers.
Hello and Thank you so much for sharing this great video. Do you happen to know if the "NEW" World Club Service also available on the B747 with 52 Club seats version (Only 4 rows in the lower deck where row 20 is the last row)?
It left at about 10:30 if i recall correct. It’s the BA175 and the second JFK flight of the day for BA. I think pretty much every Business class flight to the US east coast gets afternoon tea for all morning/afternoon departures.

A quick question which I hope you or someone can answer as I'll be booking SEA-LHR on BA soon in either Club World or World Traveller Plus on 747. In Club World, does the flight attendant have to lower the divider screen to provide meal service or other service to the passenger sitting at the window? If so, I would see that as an inconvenience to the passenger sitting on the aisle side. Otherwise, it appears BA is doing well on trying to compete with Virgin's Upper Class.
You are correct. It’s not so much of an issue if you’re travelling with a friend or colleague, but the flight attendant lowers and raises the divider every time they bring you a meal/drink. Thanks for watching anyway. Hope you enjoy your trip to London.
Thanks for the reply! I always enjoy my trips to London and this will be the final trip prior to my move there next year. I typically fly Virgin in Upper Class but have also flown BA and Norwegian Air in economy. I look forward to trying a different level of service on BA. Thanks again.
Seattle is a lovely area. Decided to book Club World on the outbound portion (wanted a seat that converts to fully flat for the overnight flight) and World Traveller Plus on the return. 63A on the outbound flight. Can hardly wait to sit in the upper deck. I've not been on a 747 since my first trip to London in 1988! Thanks again for this review.

Why haven’t BA rolled this out across all long haul Club World flights? We’re flying to Tampa on Thursday and the menu is awful. If I remember correctly it’s the same as it was last year and the year before. Uninspired and mediocre. The fillet of beef we pre-ordered last year was inedible, not a drop of juice left in it. No comparison with the food on Virgin Atlantic who we will be flying with next year.
I’m a retired flight attendant and I loved when I worked on a 747 plane ✈️

Notts boy24 Thank you for your feedback. It was an enjoyable flight.
Not a problem at all, feel free to see my business class flight if you click on me :)
Notts boy24 yep, will take a look!

Really nice detailed video , looking forward to trying out club world for the first time in November
Thanks for watching! Hope you enjoy your flight!
Great video you earned yourself your hundred subscriber.
briansivley2001 you are correct! Thanks very much for watching 👍🏻
Amazing
fantastic!! :)

Looks like the same company as Turkish Airlines use for food now
How many Avios was it to upgrade out of interest? I’m flying the same route in WTP+ currently...
hahahahahaha! Only got banana!!! That made me chuckle
Going on business class to NYC next week on BA. Looking forward to it
deejay Peekay the food is excellent! Enjoy it.
AVC Trip Reports it was a very good flight. Now want to experience First class. Also NYC is the best city in the US.
How did you get the upgrade may i ask
Another great video. I don't like the Business Class layout to be honest, as I much prefer to be facing the direction of travel.
Always good catering from Do&Co. Shame about the seat design.
iFlyTheWorld The crew are excellent, the seat is the only thing letting them down now.

Was that cauliflower with breakfast ,it all looked slopped on the plate
Mark Smith that's what I thought looked bloody horrible.
Scrambled egg
Shame this hasn't been rolled out on LHR to HKG yet. Clubs nearly always full on those flights.
So if club is always nearly full they must be doing something right.
Drareg Evers they have no choice.
Great video! Subscribed!
Thanks for watching and subscribing. Much appreciated.
AVC Trip Reports a sub back would be greatly appreciated! 😊
excellent inflight Service. meals are improved

I wanna try club world as I never flown on the 747 yet as I want to b4 they all go
Not sure where you live - if it’s the UK, you can probably go to New York from London for somewhere around £300 return on the 747.
AVC Trip Reports ok but how much for club world class tho cos I do fancy trying since I seen this video
Probably anywhere around £3-6k return.
AVC Trip Reports it’s about time I stop spending 😁

Hmmmmm a big dark tasty sausage.
How come you had to go to the Aspire Lounge and not the BA Terraces Lounge? Was it closed?
Matthew Parker I was upgraded upon boarding so didn't have lounge access at that point.
Ah, gotcha. Well that was a nice free perk then!
Matthew Parker yeah absolutely!
I think the new club world seats configuration would be 1-2-1, but is it still 2-4-2? OMG craps

So what’s the difference between old and new club world? Beside catering, seats are the same.
Billy The Kid it's just a new service and not a new seat. New food, new bedding and new amenity kits
Are the new amenity kits etc available in the entire BA network by now or still only on the New York service?
727Bobster I believe the new amenity kits are on all flights from Heathrow now. But none from Gatwick. Thanks for watching anyway!
What time did your flight leave? I’m taking the same route in January and would like to see if they’re going to serve afternoon tea!!!

That’s the same one I’m talking. Thanks for the info!!
LHR-JFK??

Why is there an Emirates advertising in the BA terminal?
I think the advertisement is owned by the airport as opposed to BA. So the airport can put what they like there!
Why did you go to the aspire lounge if you were travelling club world ?
I was upgraded upon boarding.

No worries. Ahh very interesting. I was recently in Seattle, what a great place, how natural and very chilled out.

How did you upgrade in the boarding proccrs are you gold ?
Random Upgrade I believe.
Have you ever flown on Air India or Jet Airways?
Manjinder Singh i haven't. Would like to try them both one day though!
I am One World member and business class traveller...BUT BRITISH AIRWAYS, WHO DID YOU HIRE TO DESIGN AND MAKE THE WORST EVER SEATS IN BUISSNESS!!
quite nice foodservice and everything; dislike the cabin interiour
Are all the Club World like this now??
Bijaan Noormohamed I think it's still just to JFK, however it's been rolled out across the whole network eventually.
As of January it will be on ORD

Still dont like it when people are using shoes on the ottoman. There are slipper that you can use or just take your shoes off
gibbs1966 I've seen the opposite with people complaining about not wearing shoes on the ottoman. And what slippers does BA hand out?
A flight review from an aisle seat, Oh dear. I do appreciate that you were just allocated that seat but still.......
Ryan Essex Heaps of reviews from the aisle seat and middle seat around on youtube. Out of 17k viewers your the only one to complain.
Why haven’t BA rolled this out across all long haul Club World flights? We’re flying to Tampa on Thursday and the menu is awful. Christine Woodhouse This service is rolling out across all BA routes.
Because LHR to JFK is their most profitable and important route, Tampa certainly is not so its not going to get priority
OMG - that "breakfast" msde me nauseous!!
I hate Pirates of The Caribbean.
I am sure they hate you to.
Ohhhhhhhh dear - baked beans with breakfast(((((((((
I think it must be a British thing!
I think it is and I'm British, but woe betide anyone who puts beans on my breakfast plate.
what's with the captions and no speech?
no character to this video whatsoever
