Hello again, Tony
Thank you for another Great Video 👍 I enjoyed watching tonight's video. That was a great selection of tools tonight. Be sure to enjoy the weekend. Again thank you 👌
Thank you glad you enjoyed. Got my parents visiting from out of state so it should be a great weekend. I hope you have a good weekend as well.
Duratec makes great budget tools, honestly, midtier. The individual tools are much better than the eva foam versions. The SK versions are also offered by duratec, but the SK budget line has a much better chrome job. Fyi SK has two lines of tools, the buget "green line" and the black label usa made line.
I’m bummed out about SK. I mean just look at that set compared to what you’d get from grainger. It’s easy to see the difference from the 🇺🇸 stuff and the 🇨🇳 stuff. Today’s Sk isn’t what great grand dad had. Kinda like craftsman.
Agreed!!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts as well
@@TonyTheTechnician no problem man! Just have to help out the channel with comments! Also I appreciate the fact you post often.
@daveunderwoodjr682 thank you I appreciate that. And ya I try to post 3 times a week
@@TonyTheTechnician hell yeah that’s cool man! I give credit to you and cp for convincing me to buy some stuff from tekton. Went to research their product and the first video I seen was from you. My tekton 12 points will serve me well!
That's awesome!! Thank you. Glad you are happy with them!!
I've got all the Halfords Advanced modular sets and I quickly ran out of room so most are not in the foam now, think I need a bigger box 😂
Hahaha ya once you get a few sets you realize how much room they start to take up
SK has brought all operations back to America “ supposedly “
They will have certain tools still made in the USA but they will also still have alot of Chinese tools
I don't care for eva trays. It wouldn't keep me from buying something but taking Capri and vim for example I'd look for the set on a westling tray or magrail first
Ya I completely understand 👍
I too think VIM tools are little high in price.
i've used gap & crack spray foam filler to make my own eva-type of tool trays. agreed on SK. especially because when they got bought out, i was a paid socket of the month member with a few months left of my year subscription. the new ownership ended the service, & i got absolutely nothing to compensate my loss. no way to the new SK for me!
✌️🐝➕
edit: just curious. do any of those 1/4" drive socket sets have a deep chrome vanadium 16mm?
✌️🐝➕
edit: in a 6-point socket
i ask just because i have one i got from SK when they were still USA
✌️🐝➕
Ohh wow that is definitely disappointing that they did that to the monthly subscription, I would have been upset as well. And I don't believe any have the 16mm. It is very uncommon to find them in 1/4 drive
@@TonyTheTechnician yeah, that was a bit tongue in cheek. i haven't even used that socket as i feel it might break a ratchet or 2!

are the duratech wrenches any good? quality wise
I only have experience with Capri. And just like you, I find their tools to be top-notch.
As for the foam inserts, I am not a fan because they simply take up too much drawer space, and I am a tool whore that needs every last millimeter of that space. 🤣
Great vid Tony. Have a good weekend, bud!
Hahaha I completely understand!!! Thank you for sharing your thoughts 👍👍👍
