G'day Jeff, The vids are always cool , you know that . But the CAT repairs are just a treat . I'm pleased to hear you sounding much better. Thanks for continuing to entertain the faithful. Respect...!
I bought a JD440 bulldolozer with a GMC2-53 diesel and aa broken etrack fraame. I thuoght rebuilding that track frame was SAVAGE AMUSEMENT until I watch you work on theKILL DOZER. MORE power to you, Jeff.
I'm enjoying watching you do what I did 25 years ago. I haven't stopped, just downsized to antique tractors 😂. Finding the right parts is still a pain.
👌🏻👌🏻 Jeff this was a VERY AWESOMELY ENJOYABLE morning for me to sit and watch you at task!!! THAT MACHINE will outlast even the boys IF they manage to wave that GREASE GUN at the OLD GIRL!!!!! THANKS FOR TAKING US ALONG ON YOUR JOURNEY!!!😍😍😍😍😍🙏🏻
Jeff save you some $$$$$ weld up those retainer plates 3:30 with hard facing and grind or flap them.16:30 Dr. Jeff hard at work on the operating table. At 29:30 the hole in the collar must be opposite of the zerk to expel all the air in the grease groove plus old grease turns rock hard in the groove if it’s Not flushed out with new. Causing it to be a solid binder when the collar needs to be removed in the future. Like concrete.
Not telling you what to do/just save on shop towels. When rebuilt undercarriage on a bombardier. Used newspaper to clean the dirty grease out. Nice job 👍
Great video Jeff always enjoy watching you work on this track frame. One done replace back on K Dozer and one to go. Thanks for sharing stay safe Jeff have fun at the Ball game.
Hey Jeff, you should check out the “Portacool” outdoor evaporative air conditioners to beat the heat wrenching outdoors. I have one and it works awesome. Take care.
When I work on projects that take a while and sometimes not fun at all. I just think of all the fun I'm going to have later when it's done. And on the upside there's no reason to ever hook a laptop computer to it. Just like a 4430 JD she will do a days work and never have to worry about it. Thanks Jeff for taking us along
Jay, Check out this chamfering Cone at Regis Manufacturing "ASM-12" is the mandrel and "AS-10" is the abrasive sleeve that goes on the mandrel. Very easy to use, fits on a small drill. When I worked in a speed shop long ago we used these to chamfer engine cylinders after reboring. Hold at the desired angle and grind away, cuts fast on a high speed air drill. Definitely a handy tool for a guy like you to have.
Great video, Jeff, you have been very busy, looking forward to completing the rebuild, stay safe and have a wonderful day, cheers, Alice and Leo, Queensland, Australia.
Well now Mr. Anderson, that bearing/bushing went in “slicker than a pan o’ guts”…, Jeff wins, Jeff wins, Jeff wins…! Woo Whoo..! Great video, Thank you sir.
In the past I have run Pneumatic plastic lines and push fittings, as remote grease lines for hard to reach grease nipples, you just have to think a bit of how you route the lines, and remember to charge the lines with grease when you install them.
It appears that You are nearing the finish of this first track frame Jeff. I believe that the second one will be a easier task now that the pitfalls are fresh learned. Good to know that You are feeling better. Best Wishes to everyone at Anderson Construction. #JeffWins
Jeff wins. I think you've been watching Warren's channel. He may not work on the big cats, but he gets a lot done by himself. Awesome video. I look forward to the she runs again. ❤
Your a part of the rare breed club , those of us that manage to do a two person job without help . Don't beat yourself up paying jobs take priority Jeff will win as always
Hey Jeff 🙂 Your persistence is paying off. Are you going for the patina look or scuff’n’spray a couple of gallons of urethane yellow? 😆 Great work, sir.
Glad your feeling better. That is a Ton of work for one person, but I know you've been there Before, and will prevail. Will you pull a string from the sprocket to the front idler to center the top rollers? That's what I do, on smaller crawlers. Jeff Wins FYI I watched this episode wearing my JPay Dirt Hat! TGP
what the heck are you doing it like that for adjustable wrench throw it away and as i say that you have done it my tool box will never have one of those in it cheers to you love yr vids take care
Good morning .Is there a dealer capable of rebuilding this equipment? Just curious if there are any technicians that could do this in today's labor market
Seeing you doing your part to lower the carbon footprint. By helping to eliminate mining, smelting, etc. With the natural special blocking you use. But what would the 'tree huggers' really think? 🤔
Go boy go ! Dont think there are any winners on track gear . Just glad to go home and get cleaned up and a nice sleep .. everything is heavy hot . Even the grinder eants to kill you! Old dog for a hard road !!
I was ready to scream at the monitor and tell you to get an eight point socket and a ratchet. Before I could work up a full head of steam you showed me you did have one in your tool box, so all is fine on my end today.
What would you guesstimate the cost at cat would be for that job in its entirety? I’m betting it would sit most guys down in their chair and say I’m done! Going to be a Walmart tire changer.
It's funny. You can be working on a multi-million dollar job and what tools do the hands have in their hands? Crescent wrenches. Not a combination wrench, socket or cordless impact to be found. So we all laugh about going home to get better tools.
Love the way you stick with it in the hot weather and gravel to get it done! Love your videos never miss a one!!
G'day Jeff,

Good job mate loved watching your work keep up the good work
Jeff wins, because you're the hardest working man on YT - as you said: 'the wins don't come easy'. Can't wait to see the old girl pushing dirt again!
Hardest workin man inshow business. Great work.

Always have time for grandkids ballgames!👍
Solid love/hate relationship .... gotta love it
Great video, can't wait for the next one.
All this is way beyond my need and abilities but I do enjoy being along for the ride. Thanks!!

You at least need an umbrella to shade you while you work. One of those freestanding canopies would be cool too.

Definitely a man's man! You Definitely could use a helper with all those big awkward parts.
Blimey Charlie...now here's a pleasant surprise for a Wednesday lunchtime Jeff...

Jeff tour next batch of shirts u need a double deep for that phone. Good job man!
Double deep pocket
You, the man, Jeff, the one man fat machine👍
Jeff, you should make a video at the end on how much a repair job like this costed you vs paying a shop to do it. I’d be curious to know.
Boy a fresh coat of paint would sure make the ole girl BE-A-YOU-TEA-FULL!!!!
Your a part of the rare breed club , those of us that manage to do a two person job without help .

centrifuge the oil to remove water.

Thats the way to do it.👍
Someone is going to regret they never stayed around to help when you're gone. Holiday will be well deserved.
what the heck are you doing it like that for adjustable wrench throw it away and as i say that you have done it my tool box will never have one of those in it cheers to you love yr vids take care
Seals are to keep crap out not grease in so lip out. If you put lip in and push grease past the seal the seal is roo ted.
Good morning .Is there a dealer capable of rebuilding this equipment? Just curious if there are any technicians that could do this in today's labor market
Seals "backwards" makes sense.
How about adding remote grease hoses on diagonal brace pins
Lip goes out cuz the seal is more to keep dirt and water out than grease in. 🙂
Cat put them in the other way on the early G's I think they learned that the first time they got greased out they came
Can you just build those retainers up with weld and grind them flat again?
☕
Hey Jeff, couldn´t you fit a remote grease line to that track frame bearing and armor the line running it through a pipe ?
The link i sent you is fir another galion crane could be a good parts machine, its in Facebook marketplace close to me in Kentucky
Jeff wins Onya mate !!!
curious why the Kill isn’t getting some new paint while its apart

in the heat a friend starts wearing dress pants he gets at interfaiths they dont stick to your legs
Hi Jeff why do you use a battery powered 1 Inch impact gun and not a air impact gun I don't understand
What kind of software do you use to edit videos?
I was ready to scream at the monitor and tell you to get an eight point socket and a ratchet. Before I could work up a full head of steam you showed me you did have one in your tool box, so all is fine on my end today.
Jeff, why don't you use a square drive socket on the tap? Are you killing time, or are you just so bored?!
Y'all need to hire a second set of hands Jeffrons....rebuilds are not a two hands job.
Tap Magis works much better than WD40
First
Run a line out so you don't have crawl under to grease
