I defeated Ruby Weapon differently: 1. Had Tifa alive only instead to start. 2. I gave her the gloves that's 255% chance of hitting. 3. Hive her some health to make it reach 7777 so I can give it the lucky 7 to remove half of its life and be stuck with the hands down. 4. 1 protects as the other 2 activate Knights of the Round. Protect when needed.
This works! Out of all the strategies I’ve tried, this one did it. The game changer for me was the Fire Armlet. But Comet2 almost got me. I think it took about 6 or 7 mimes to get it done!
Try this method. You can only do it in Disc 3 and getting the Counter Materia from the Northern Cave. You’ll need KOTR, Mime, HP Plus, MP Plus and HP ABSORB. My KOTR was Level 3 and Counter was Level 4. Need combo slots and combine HP Absorb and KOTR. Combine Counter and Mime. Enter the fight with both members KO’d. Wait for the tentacles come up. Summon KOTR and sit back and enjoy the show. KOTR will loop and you’ll always have full HP. Try it out!
Don’t bother with tentacles. Go straight to Ruby. Hades freezes Ruby and the tentacles don’t even move. Mime and repeat. You’re welcome. I revived other 2 and had them miming also. Doesn’t matter unless you want to reap AP. Add EP plus and any other material you want to buff at your discretion. Also add magic plus to main character to deal max damage and speed up fight. They will also gain hp and mp from mimes. Again, not necessary though
Tried doing this without a Ribbon a few times and it just won't work. My fault of course trying to cut corners, but its a necessity. Finally beat it with a ribbon lol.
@@4PLAYUK Neither have I...You see with Emerald it's a boss fight along with an extra hidden game. Make sure that all shoulder circles aren't on. ALWAYS keep at least 1 off. He only breaks in half for the one-shot if all are on.
I'm so gonna use this tactic, and forever after each playthrough. Say, do I need only one Mime Materia to use nonstop Omnislash against the Emerald Weapon?

@@4PLAYUK Nevermind. I managed to defeat Emerald, and it was hard to get the Lucky 7's during the fight until he his the Air Etam attack. As for Ruby, I used your tactic. Man, it makes Ruby the easier of the two Weapons to defeat.
