It is a pretty nice corset, overall. Good and interesting, but not great for the long haul. Best for beginners, I think, who are just getting a feel for corsetry and may not yet feel comfortable or able to gain more than a couple of inches waist reduction. Thank you, Lucy, for your fair and honest review.
It’s a typical cheap corset. Mine was good for about two perhaps three wears, after that it is falling apart at the busk and waist tape. What it does tell me is that mesh corsets could work for summer, and I’m now willing to invest in a properly made mesh corset.
Just my opinion but it seems more like a fashion style corset than a real corset. I hate saying real but I don’t really have any other word for it. As always Lucy you are amazing. 😘
Jennipurr Blake Period corsets is a good shop if you want historical things. There might be more places that you can get custom? There are not many affordable options.
Looking through their shop... I see knockoffs of Mystic City, Orchard Corset, Timeless Trends, maybe Corset Story. Do they have an original bone in their bodies?
I am using these now. Beginner corset for me since most people reduce the first couple sizes pretty quickly. The waspie has held up a couple months and am tight lacing the last week or so. So far its holding up and I hope it will get me down into a 26 at which time I will switch to timeless trends. You do get what you pay for so we will have to see if it does what I want.
I was going to bother you about what size I should get, but I figured it out. Thank you anyway. If I look you cover all these things in your videos, thanks again
That is so weird! Not only the look of it being misaligned, but also the very clear difference it makes on your waist. I'd be somewhat afraid of wearing that and getting an uneven body.
I'm glad you reviewed a corset buy them i was looking at one of their underbust w hip ties but was afraid to get a corset so cheap. Especially when they have mixed reviews.
Quality control announcement in the factory in 3, 2, 1. I swear mass production of corsets has improved vastly because of you! This is a decent corset for 35$ but I think we all know that it’s worth spending an extra 15.
I got this as my 1st one and it's starting to break down and I've had it for 3 years. The waist tape has ripped, the mesh is starting to pop and one of the pins on my busk has broken off 😣 I do not like the fact that the bones bulge at the bottom but it looks really nice on.
Thanks for your feedback! Quite honestly I’m surprised that it lasted as long as 3 years for you. After only a couple of months the grommets started looking a little loose on mine (I ended up giving it away I think). There are better quality options out there.
Interesting they are selling a new version of this now. I just bought it, because while mesh in general is not a reliable waist training material, it will give me the curvy reduction I need under garments and help me retain the waist cinching throughout the day in breezy comfort. I have serious custom corsets for my waist training, I don't mess around. :D
I have this corset. I bought this on aliexpress for 32 dollars. I have a tight budget and I really like it. I can still train my waist to be smaller using this ??
Question, does it feel supportive? Or is the give too much for that? I was just thinking about new wearers or people looking for support but not necessarily huge reductions. What do you think? 🤔
Oh wow, I'm so happy to find you...I started making corsets years ago on the livejournal corsetry community (c.2004/5). Back then it was a passionate hobby, and my hair was as long as yours. I don't really make corsets anymore, but never lost my interest. I'm getting back into it again and I'm amazed to see how some people kept with it and succeeded, including you! Your videos are so informative. Thank you!
Merry Christmas! i have a question, could you tell us about travelling with corset? Especially airport security and corset, how are you doing it or are you doing it. Are we better to pack our corsets in our luggages and travel un-corseted? Thanks and good work as usual. :)
I tend to pack the corset in my carry-on (at the top of the bag, so if I have to pull it out and show them, they don't have to take everything else out of my bag first). It saves being strip-searched if you go through the metal detector / scanner while wearing the corset. Then if you need to wear the corset on your flight (if you have back issues), then you can always go to the restroom after security and put the corset on before boarding.
Can you do a video about driving in your corset/sitting? Is there a specific type of corset I should wear if I sit for long periods of times opposed to standing?
It's a video I plan to do next year. As a disclaimer, I don't often drive in my corset - and when I do, it's almost always a cincher or waspie. Anything that prevents you from checking your blind spot or otherwise driving safely / being aware of your surroundings, or anything that might slow your reaction time, I wouldn't recommend you do it while driving. I've taken public transit for most of my life. But if I do have to drive, most times I'll take my corset with me and just lace up once I get to my destination.
I have the 26" white camellias corset and I would say it's so-so. I had stitching at the bottom of the busk rip out in only a few days of wearing it with only about 2" reduction. I have also found that the laces are taking severe wear and will need replacing soon. for the price its not bad, but id say it would be a better idea to get a quality corset for the extra money.
I have one of these and when i put it right next to my orchard corset mesh waspie ... It suffers, the difference in quality is immediately obvious. It's functional but you definitely get what you pay for.
I have an open question to anyone who has experienced owning custom corsets, not necessarily just Lucy. How long does a well made custom corset typically last before it needs replacing? It’s an overbust that I’ll probably wear at least 5 days a week. I’m wondering what sort of mileage I might get out of it with that kind of use. A year? Two years? Maybe more? I’ve only previously owned like
Charlea I've heard of some custom waist training corsets (like from Waisted Couture in Las Vegas) lasting nearly 10 years of use, but I believe this is an outlier. People who wear corsets 24/7 (i.e. for medical purposes) tend to replace their corsets every couple of years - partially because they wear out, and partially because as one's body changes with regular use, they'll need to get a new corset that matches their current measurements. Fun tidbit: in the 1800s corset companies would brag if their corset lasted 12 months without breaking! Of course, others are welcome to comment here as well and share their experiences. 😊
I am a 14 year old girl and I'm loosing weight. I'm not overweight at all, I just want to build my self confidence and get a good figure. Do their sizes run in U.S? Would they fit someone who isn't overweight??
I’m 15 and I ordered a Yianna waist trainer of oc Amazon and it’s been working pretty well. As my waist gets smaller I’m gonna save up for a high end corset
I would strongly recommend to save your money for something a little better. Timeless Trends and Orchard Corset sometimes have sales on their corsets so you can get something around $50 and they will be much more effective than this one!
You get what you pay for - with the cheaper corsets (especially under $50) you can expect them to break down faster. Actually one of the employees of Orchard Corset said that this was suspiciously similar in pattern to their CS-201 (so if you want a corset with a similar silhouette but stronger with more longevity, perhaps check out that style instead). My reviews are structured the same way every time so anyone who watches two or three of the videos start to gain a sense of quality for each of the different components. I get that people value my opinion but once you start to familiarize yourself with corsets, the quality starts to speak for itself.
Thanks I order this one .. It’s advertised as a corset waist trainer...Orchard Corset CS-301 Underbust Satin Steel-boned Waist Trainer Corset from Amazon `
Be careful with buying from here, i bought a longline under bust corset from them about a year or two ago when i just started getting into wearing corsets and one of the bones along the back grommets was a spiral steel bone while the other side had flat steels
annarboriter More practical than fashionable, I find. Nice & breathable during a hot summer. Didn't Lucy have a mesh corset made custom, at some point? Coppery mesh with a zipper front?
It is a pretty nice corset, overall. Good and interesting, but not great for the long haul. Best for beginners, I think, who are just getting a feel for corsetry and may not yet feel comfortable or able to gain more than a couple of inches waist reduction. I’m always super curious about those Amazon corsets. Can’t wait to see what it’s all about
Yeap! There’s so many now. I feel weird buying any corset in Amazon, cuz I’ve heard it’s better to buy from known corset company.
It’s a typical cheap corset. Mine was good for about two perhaps three wears, after that it is falling apart at the busk and waist tape. What it does tell me is that mesh corsets could work for summer, and I’m now willing to invest in a properly made mesh corset.

What would you recommend for affordable "real" corsets?

idk about that, but definitely no original bones in their corsets!!
Jessie Kalpea XD I was waiting for someone to make that pun.
They’ve stolen photos from models like miss deadly red in high fashion corsets like Valkyrie. They’re very deceptive and shady.

Did it?
Amazing review! I really appreciate all the details. This as close to trying on in-person as a video review can get. Thank you so much! :)
Very welcome!
I bought this and seasoned it as gently as i could for as long as i could... on the drive home it burst during a sneeze. Wouldnt recommend...
Wow!!
Oh wow i havent had that happen yet, ive been wearing mine almost daily for about 3 or 4 weeks now
Can you do more Camilia's reviews?
I was going to bother you about what size I should get, but I figured it out. Thank you anyway. If I look you cover all these things in your videos, thanks again

Best channel on youtube.
Thanks for the great content.

The ad before the video was an app to photoshop your photos to get abs and make ur waist smaller 😂😂
Really?? Hahaha! Normally the ads are pretty random and nothing to do with corsets (makeup, shoes, etc).

TacinasACM It sounds like a nightmare. :/
Do corsets work to reduce love handles? Specifically the longer version of this one?
I have one of these and when i put it right next to my orchard corset mesh waspie ... It suffers, the difference in quality is immediately obvious. It's functional but you definitely get what you pay for.
Hi, What is the best type of corset for a short waist and long torso ? Thanks!
The mesh makes me think of the mesh in athletic shoes. The more open side on the outside and the finer side on the inside of the shoes.
I have an open question to anyone who has experienced owning custom corsets, not necessarily just Lucy.

I doubt it.

*UGH, THIS BRAND IS STEALING THE PATTERNS OF MYSTIC CITY CORSETS*
I have one made by Orchard Corsets where the pattern is much the same.
I think they mixed both styles together.
Mesh: more fetish than fashion. And fast fashion, indeed; I don't think it can ever be repaired. Informative review
annarboriter More practical than fashionable, I find. Nice & breathable during a hot summer. Didn't Lucy have a mesh corset made custom, at some point? Coppery mesh with a zipper front?
You are always so intelligent and beautiful.
God Bless
would you reccomend the mesh or satin one from the same brand?
lauren nicole Quite honestly I would recommend raising your budget by another $15 or $20 and investing in a better quality brand.
You are awesome but the corset is horrendous.
what cheaper brands would you recommend?
