    I purchased this waspie with a half off coupon so, $45 pre-tax. For the price, I really was not expecting much. I was SO completely blown away by this corset’s quality at any price. It was unbelievable at the price I paid. I kept waiting for something to go wrong or for it to be uncomfortable as it’s not bespoke. However, I’ve had it for 8+ months now with no wear issues and it is so comfortable I’ve slept in it several times.
    If you’re new to corsets and/or budget constrained, this is the corset for you!!! It is everything you could want in a first corset.

    I randomly thought about corsets and your channel and I'm pleasantly surprised to see you back. I'm set on getting a Petite Josephine Mesh from Isabella Corsetry as my first one, but I hear she's very backed up with the current situation. I'm planning on ordering next year at this point.

      rdpcl Isabella Corsetry has beautiful corsets but has always had a long turnaround time (it took 6 weeks for me to receive my corset from the immediate line which was supposed to be in stock and shipped right away, and that was back in 2010). It was worth the wait, but yeah there’s _always_ been a wait 😆

    I ordered a MCC-20 in satin, I hope the measurements will be right.
    This model looks so good on you, it's a pity the measurements weren't right 🥺
    It's also true for Etsy and their website, I bought mine on their website while on Etsy they weren't even carrying the model I bought, plus there was a sale on it. So, definitely check both places ! ☝🏾

    • @AlexaFaie
      @AlexaFaie 4 года назад +2

      My MCC-20 was true to size. Mine is in spot broche and corsetry mesh though (not the sports mesh, its a finer weave more heavy duty material) so I can't comment exactly on the satin, but I hope it turns out alright for you!

    • @AlexaFaie
      @AlexaFaie 4 года назад +1

      Oh and forgot to say that all three MCC corsets I have were true to size. I have an old discontinued MCC-36, an MCC-35 and the MCC-20 I mentioned before.

      @@Malexah_mor Very good one, to be honest, because it has my exact underbust and upper hip measurements when fully closed and the perfect torso length for me (I have a short torso) so it's one of, if not, the most comfortable corset I own ❤️

  • @gobbism
    @gobbism 4 года назад +1

    I have a different model of mesh corset from MCC and the busk is very stiff. I found that there was an extra bone on top of the busk which I was able to remove and resew without it looking wonky. I don’t know if that’s true for this model but if true it might allow people to make it more comfortable.

    Interesting. My mystic city corsets almost always stretch at the waist but I've never thought to check the rib and hip springs. I did recently receive one with a faulty pin,however.

    • @LucysCorsetry
      @LucysCorsetry  4 года назад +1

      B. T. O'Bannon wow, is it the mesh corsets that stretch or the non-mesh ones as well? Thank you for sharing your experience! It’s a shame about the busk pin, were you offered a replacement?

    I am new to corsets, I have only ever worn them for fun/costumes but never had a nice/real one! This shape and style particularly interests me...would you say that this corset is beginner friendly?

    • @may36921
      @may36921 4 года назад +4

      It is a waspie, not very curvy 6 inch rib spring 8 inch hip spring and it's mech, it should be comfortable and if is close to your measurements I don't see why it shouldn't be beginner friendly. I tend to go for all cotton because it doesn't stretch as much with time and I feel it can stand waist training better, about 8 hour or more per day, but thou I don't own mesh corsets its supposed to be more comfortable and easier to hide under clothes
      Edit:she did say rib spring was 5 in hip spring 7 in. I don't know if it's just for the mesh or for other fabrics too

    • @LucysCorsetry
      @LucysCorsetry  4 года назад +3

      Alex M. it is beginner friendly, but the best corset for you will be the one that fits your measurements best! I have narrow hips so this one works for me - someone else may find it a bit tight on their hip bones, for instance - I'd be happy to look at your measurements and let you know what will fit you. lucycorsetry.com/measurements/

    • @Malexah_mor
      @Malexah_mor Год назад

      From experience, I think it’s very sturdy/firm for a beginner. I have worn corsets and fajas since I was little on and off. And the first time I tried this corset to me it’s very rigid and not so curvy … Of course it’s amazing quality!!! Even though orchard corset has a bad reputation due to their bad quality. To me, their corsets are more for beginners. But it sucks that their corsets don’t last long. It’s good to buy from different brands. I like doing that to compare.

I can't seem to find a review on your channel for a corset that fits the name of the corset on amazon, and I was hoping to learn more about it. I bought the non-mesh one a couple of years ago, and a year ago I noticed it had 2'' and 4'' springs!! No wonder I couldn't close it! In 18'' it's supposed to fit me perfectly. The customer service was so bad that it put me off buying from them again. But if anyone has a black non-mesh one in 18'' that they want to part with, I'd be happy to buy it! Or if there's any other OTR with about the same springs (not smaller) and either the same length or shorter, let me know!

    • @LucysCorsetry
      @LucysCorsetry  4 года назад +1

      😯 whoa, I’m sorry to hear that! I wonder if it’s only this style specifically that has so many problems with the springs or if there are others.
      I looked on Corset Database to see which other styles might have a 6” rib spring as 8” hip spring, and there are a few but not many cinchers. The Andrea waspie by Vanyanis is gorgeous but might be out of budget.

      @@LucysCorsetry Seems like it's just this one, I've basically never heard anything not positive about the corsets (customer service the opposite). It's so strange cause mine is so consistent as well. Exactly 2" rib spring and exactly 4" hip spring. Which is.. Less than your typical fashion corset would have.
      Thanks for looking! There's sadly little out there OTR for me 😅

      ahah sorry! I'm trying out a new microphone and I no longer have to shout across the room, but I haven't quite figured out the best combination of volume / projection. There are other things like my mild disappointment in the rib and hip springs of this corset, and the stupid heat wave turning my room into a boiler, but apart from that, all is well.

      Hi Lucy! That corset definitely compliments your shape well. Shame about the springs. I have to 2 MCC corsets. One mesh, which measure an inch larger in the under bust (which is ok for the upper fluff). My other is a brocade and it measured true to the site. Maybe it's a mesh thing, idk🤔. I really love them though, I'm a pretty curvy person and it is hard to find something that actually reduces the waist.
      I was happy to watch this review.
