Dude! This is the best video! I watched 3 other videos with the suction cup, and then I found this video. The other videos didn't help me get the screen loose. Watched your video. Took the screen off in about 2 minutes. The trick is pointing the blade down towards the back of the phone; not level with the phone. Got the blade in, the rest is history. Thanks!!!
The suction cup works fine if you moisten it. Also it helps if you jig it, flexing it to and from the phone until you see the gap. Once you see the gap just work your finger nail around until it comes apart.

I didn’t care as it was cracked elsewhere and I was replacing anyways, but this cracked the bottom of the old screen pretty bad. Worked though for it getting off

Thanks to those who recommended using a hair dryer or other direct heat source. Applying heat to the frame where to lift screen WORKED ! Also knowing there was a white colored thin rubber gasket helped as well. For me, the gasket was sticking the screen bezel to the frame and only loosened with direct heat to the metal frame. Don't apply too much heat to the frame, just enough to soften the gasket. Not much force is needed but be sure to grasp the box cutter firmly, like a pencil, with a dry hand. Also, I had to SLOWLY push the blade tip BETWEEN the gasket and frame before moving a tiny distance, maybe 1 mmm, then push the blade tip again. If it doesn't seem to work, apply heat to the spot for 10 seconds then try again. This is what RUclips should be, helping people, not leftist propaganda.

The only other way would cause a lot of damage to the phone by prying it at the opposite side.
