I grew up in Oxford. Radiohead released the Bends on 13 Mar '95, Supergrass released I Should Coco two months later. I was 15 at the time, getting deeply into the local indie scene, and Oxford was one of the cultural hubs of rave culture to boot. 'epic' does not even begin to describe how great those years were..... (nostalgic sigh)
saw these live at the ritz in manchester and they were excellent ! they had there own pa and mixing gear and the sound was the best ive ever heard ! and ive seen alot of good bands
@@dr.k.vogel. Any idea what the strange voices mean at the start of the track? "igor, igor, where are you? I cant see you, I cant find you!" ?? Does this have any reference or meaning?
@@hempmaiden I don't know - I wonder if it is a reference to the 1974 film Young Frankenstein which has a character calle Igor? I think it is just the band messing around.
@@dr.k.vogel. Yes possibly referencing a Frankensteins Igor....its definitely the band making voices...its not a sample from something...we will never quite know...its just them among an intro of "madness" :)
Surprised, although I do like Supergrass, they are referring to 'others' as weird and strange, when I've always thought they'd feel an infinity with we weirdos?
ONE OFF THE BEST BANDS OF 90,S

Yes I want to know where they go too - apparently its somewhere high up in the clouds, where they can look down at everybody :)
It's about Cowley Road, Oxford, where they used to live
