I went Glasto 03 and 04. Was near the front left of Gaz for this. If memory serves Morrissey was on after or just before. Always remember Supergrass performance as a standout. I was 21.Times of our lives. Never thought leaving the site I wouldn't return for all these years. I returned this year 20 years after as a coach driver, drop off and back to London... Fucking bollocks.
Lucky enough to have been there on that afternoon - just finished my shift at Park Home Ground campsite! ⛺️ They were (as you call tell) effing brilliant!
I keep coming back to this video. That overhead shot of the sunlight shining through the crowd as the song starts, is just the most incredible thing! It's like a friggin painting! Love it!
@MusicalElitist1 Yeah, Gaz's brother was in the band, but he didn't like the spotlight and wasn't officially a full member until the later years despite playing with them for years - I think he was officially "in Supergrass" at this point.
Thanks DiamondHooHaMan. I love British drummers who really bang on their drums, despite the fact that they have microphones. (I also laugh at British musicians sweating their arse off in heat that Australians would find comfortable. Summer is our Festival season!)
I am a doctor, I'll be your doctor, I'm on my way, And you won't come down today, Live by the rat race, Been with the rat ones, And they hold you down, We'll turn the world around! supergrass rules! PERIOD
So dumb when people say this. They’re highly critically acclaimed, sold millions of albums, Had several charting hit singles over the period of 11 years, Have 3 million monthly listeners on Spotify And millions of RUclips views. Yeah, nobody’s ever heard of them and they’re totally underrated. Fool.
@@Eric_In_SF Ok, Eric. I still think they're underrated. No need for childish insults on RUclips, I'm sure you're better than that. I didn't say no one's ever heard of them, I just think they don't get the acknowledgment they deserve in comparison to other bands who emerged in the 90s and carried on through the 00s.
Here's pie in my eye where the Sun Hits The Sky. Well cake anyway for a wonderful fun filled birthday !!! With Supergrass of course. I will not wear this out.
Only ever seen them live a couple times, the best being at The Glass House in Pomona. Smaller venue. Ruined live shows for me for a while. They are better than their recordings and their recordings are top notch. At one point they opened for Radio Head in CA and people were buying tickets to see them as the opening act and then leaving. Who the hell wants them to open for them?
Jesus, this is timeless!! What an amazing performance.
Glastonbury’s sound engineers are the best in the game, all these massive outdoor performances sound incredible
Except for the fact they had a problem with dannys Tom Mic early in the set and you couldn’t hear it at all.
Love how all three of them are drenched in sweat giving it everything. Class
NO DOUBT.. my fav band ever.. its the vibe.... hell gaz still at it by himself.. love that BAND!
Amazing comment.
Phenomenal band

the outro in this song is sublime.......bassline rolls into the eternity of the Glastonbury sunset.
My English is not so well. What is this “sublime” music??
@@Oh_I_Will amazing, great and positive
Mick Quinn is an amazing musician

Pant wetting 😅🔥
They were a class act. Glad I got to see them a couple of times. Wish they were still playing.
They are playing in fremantle western Australia
Check em out at this year's Isle of Wight festival on Sky Arts if you can get it. They were easily the best I heard 🔥
They reformed for a while.

Forever they hit the right notes for me, Supergrass, I say thank you. Still u everday with every commute, eveyday i love it, thankyoux
I'm relaxing after a great workout. Supergrass again today. Keep the music pumping around or on your stereo. This music is so fun. :D
One of the very few bands who sound effin' amazing LIVE!!!
You should’ve seen Mr. bungle live. The only band that I’ve ever heard that actually sounded better than the album. Squirrel Nut Zippers as well.
This has to be the best Glastonbury moment for me,nothing comes near, just raw talent.
Why does this have to end? It's the sort of tune that could go on for at least half an hour. Brilliant.
Superb
found this two weeks ago, the next das i bought a bass. They are fantastic!
Unrivalled these 3 boys
the keyboard was dooresk,love it
Heavily heavily underated band- fookin brilliant!

Brilliant performance 🔥🔥
I love this band
Hard to believe there's only 3 of em here. It's just a beautiful solid wall of sound.

I do know a place where the sun hits the sky its called Supergrass. Awesome performance!
awesome comment
I rememeber that was the first time the sun came out all weekend!
they have been trudging round in the pissing rain and mud for a long time and need waking up!!! I think this and the sun did the trick, brilliant!
just amazing
farkin love
Thanks to the "Surge" CD I got in the mail for no apparent reason back in the 90's, because this song was I believe # 4 on it. ^_^
This is so awesome! Amazing live performance! :')
Mick queen Is a beast
Tight band still come back to their set after 15 years
Fucking class. I was there, don't remember being there though :-(
then it must've been a hell of a day B)
Nic Smith oh man. What a treat to be in such presence of a band like Supergrass
Spectacular!
So good.
I was there !
Cosmic rock, love these guys
“Libertines would have been nice but….” Stupid thing to say after that terrific set.
Thank god for British rock.
They should be in the hall of play again.
just great, gewoon geweldig
Excellent band.
Just. Fucking. Awesome.
Bloody great
So damn underrated. What a performance, miss these guys :-(

Just frickin supberb Such a shame that the BBC is who have forever stamped their Name as the recorders of such quality British Music.
These Superlads were supposed to come to Australia in 2020....
Another British Anthem 😀
NO SHIT HUH! :D they sound biblical live.
Consummate performance
Que laço
Bloody ‘ell
That’s how you wow an audience
why doesn't any of the crowd look like they are enjoying themselves?
It was 2003!
3:23
I hate how they never show Rob much
I think it's intentional. He doesn't enjoy the attention and prefers to be out of view from what I've read.
had no idea he was such a guitar God...I hear the Who in there
Has anyone ever actually seen Gaz and Sam Rockwell in the same room?
Rob playing the keybord solo
Cameraman sleeping 😴😴
polite clapping from the audience :(
Looks like an AD30TC
@@papa_pt It doesn’t

With a surname like Weiland you really shouldn't be talking about shit bands!
What is this comment for me ? Who's being a party pooper ? If you can't post anything nice please don't say it at all. I happen to love Supergrass.
