I still listen to Supergrass on a regular basis because they totally pass the test of time. Still pissed off that I never saw them live. Sun Hits The Sky is tight as a bastard!
Saw them in 2000, Dallas, Texas. They opened for Pearl Jam, but I went to see them. Was not disappointed, but would have liked to see them play a longer set. Left about half way thru Pearl Jams set to avoid traffic :).
Massively underrated band. Their song writing was way more sophisticated than most of their contemporaries. Amazing live. I saw them at several festivals back in the day.
Amazing band , very highly rated in my opinion great song writing great musicianship very much a album band , that "britpop" label they get mentioned in a lot doesnt give them the credit they deserve , one of the best ive seen live . Viva la supergrass
Que banda enorme, Oasis/Blur se llevaron todos los flashes y taparon algunas otras geniales de aquel movimiento que merecieron mas amor, como Suede tambien, impecable banda.
Mary may have been an inspiration for QOTSA, especially when it does stuff like "I want to make it with Chu". Brillant stuff that needed continuation so all for the best.
Absolutely killer performance from this underappreciated band. They were, and are, so much more than they were ever given credit for; and go far beyond the confines of the Britpop title.
I was working all over the south West England for about 6 months and played supergrass constantly. What a vibe man. Quintessential English rock and roll 👌
Supergrass is one of the few bands with never a bad song, Beatles, Bowie, Pixies, Cure came close, Oasis and Blur had more hits, and although everyone stole, Oasis and Blur stole the easy stuff, while Supergrass improved music!
Fuck yes! Please don’t delete the comment. I got carried away! 1997 Roskilde festival, last I saw them live. Looking forward to see them again next year! If they add Europe or Scandinavia as destination for their celebration,
I love Dannys stage monitor setup. Two wedges on either side makes sense. Nobody does that its always one monitor blasting your left ear or some big stack behind.
Saw them live in a packed Powerstation, Auckland, NZ in 2000. Fantastic show and at the time I thought that’s the best live acoustic guitar sound I’ve heard. Some kind of piezo pickup on the Gibson 335 straight to front of house ? Can anyone confirm exactly how it was done ?
York in about 2003 at the snooker venue barbican Not the best gig atmosphere But love listening to the 3rd album on repeat while driving round Manchester in 1999
I'm in my mid 70s, loved Supergrass from day one and still do.
Im almost 97 years old and I never really liked them.
I haven't been born yet and I remain ambivalent
I still listen to Supergrass on a regular basis because they totally pass the test of time. Still pissed off that I never saw them live. Sun Hits The Sky is tight as a bastard!
Seen them at Liverpool Royal court 1999, small venue. The best gig I’ve ever been to!
Saw them in 2000, Dallas, Texas. They opened for Pearl Jam, but I went to see them. Was not disappointed, but would have liked to see them play a longer set. Left about half way thru Pearl Jams set to avoid traffic :).
They're on tour in 2025!
Massively underrated band. Their song writing was way more sophisticated than most of their contemporaries. Amazing live. I saw them at several festivals back in the day.
Definitely
Yeah, ‘sophisticated’ is the word I wanna hear with my music…….good band though, In It For The Money is excellent
@@chairmanro1012 using more than four chords just ruins music. The more boring the better. Status Quo rules!
@@chairmanro1012What’s wrong with someone appreciating sophisticated song writing, get over yerself
Faraway is one of the best songs Supergrass have ever made. Such an awesome, underrated band
Underrated. Talented. Unique!
Gaz Coombes looks like he's becoming the American werewolf in London on that thumbnail
he is
Amazing band , very highly rated in my opinion great song writing great musicianship very much a album band , that "britpop" label they get mentioned in a lot doesnt give them the credit they deserve , one of the best ive seen live .
Viva la supergrass
One of the most underrated bands of all time
Totally agree , but supergrass are for us connoisseurs , and people qualified to appreciate the fine art of making exquisite sounds ❤

25 years ago. Old man me. These guys and Teenage Fanclub. Best live vibes I ever had…
P.S.: Danny’s looking a bit utw😂
Incredibly tight band. Amazing live. Such talented musicians 🙏
I came here to like this.
Faraway is just *perfect*. What a band.
mr. mick on bass, you are a monster badd man bass man and singer. you and mike shoes of qotsa, you rule
SuperGrass , is not a band....SuperGrass is an AMAZING FACT from the 90s. An entire and eternal amazing piece of art. 🎸🎹🎤🪕🥁
Fantastic quality footage. Looks new!
Theyhave so many Bowie moments in their songs i love it
Still one of my favourite bands....saw them a few times when i lived in Germany and also here in Ireland. Unreal live.....
Corrrr that version of Faraway is spot on. Elite performance, wish they’d done more than just the 4 tunes
I love them so much💕 what a voice, Gaz✨
Tremendous. Only fully appreciating how great this band was in recent times
Absolutely killer performance from this underappreciated band. They were, and are, so much more than they were ever given credit for; and go far beyond the confines of the Britpop title.
Seriously.. the bass playing on this is just incredible !
Come back to this every year.
What a band 🤘
I mean, heck! Is there anything better than Gaz soloing out on Moving. Have loved that track 20+ years. Thanks Supergrass.
one of the greatest britpop bands of all time. love 'em.
Great session .. I always adore their music.. so joyful❤
Saw them in Dublin in the Ambassador and they did a power gig and blew the dome off. 😂

AAAAAAAAARRRGGHH THE ENERGYYYYY!!!!! I love this band so much! 🧡🧡🧡
Great and underappreciated band
Sun Meets the Sky is a classic track. Thanks lads.
I was working all over the south West England for about 6 months and played supergrass constantly. What a vibe man. Quintessential English rock and roll 👌
Why's Gaz's tongue blue? Great session by a great band that should have been much more recognised
Once up on a Time ❤
Estos compadres saben expresar lo que es el rock, son magníficos...❤
Supergrass is one of the few bands with never a bad song, Beatles, Bowie, Pixies, Cure came close, Oasis and Blur had more hits, and although everyone stole, Oasis and Blur stole the easy stuff, while Supergrass improved music!
I love these sessions but had no clue they performed Faraway too, it sounds great
Perfect ✌🏻💜
These guys are great. One of my favorite bands!
tremendous

Fantastic band !!!!

Beautiful, full of emotion, energy and spirit
My cuppa tea ☕🍵

Really amazing session!!! powerful
Good Sound
MARAVILLOSOOOOOO 🇦🇷💕👑👆🏿
I still have the sideburns that were originally inspired by Gaz and it's 2024.
Saw them
Thanx for the full session 😃👍
One of my favourites 😊
💜

Espectacular 😮😮
Dit is zo goed. Goud van “oud”.
Yesssssss
Beautiful timeless
Pure class
❤🔥
Unreal 🕶️
forgot how good the self titled record is...hopelessly underrated band
All of their albums are gud. A band like wine... gettin' better as years go by...
Wow
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

After performing, Gaz Coombs shouts "Bullseye" & looks for Fagin for his payment 😂
A-MA-ZING !
They sound like "the bunkers" from chile or "jumbo" from mexico.
este comentario me puso feliz por alguna razón, amo a los bunkers y a Supergrass
Better than the Beatles !
On a par at least
❤
York in about 2003 at the snooker venue barbican
Not the best gig atmosphere
But love listening to the 3rd album on repeat while driving round Manchester in 1999
siiiiiiiiii
Gaz was the sexiest Neanderthal of the '90s
He just saved 50% on his car insurance by switching to Geico.
Christ. Could have been filmed yesterday
People forget about the mr g on drums! Mr moon the next
Wonder if it was at RAK?
it was at the Melkweg venue in Amsterdam
Smokin bass.
Never knew Pete Doherty played the drums for them 😂
He wishes
@@therapist6328 Exactly. Another overrated 90s charlatan. Oh, there’s another one - Tim Burgess 👎
If Pete Doherty & Winona Ryder had a baby, you'd get Danny Goffey
Pm
I didn't realize they sounded like Radiohead, but more poppy and less halloweeny
v odd that the guitar is an acoustic and he's not playing one, it's dubbed over ffs
Pink Floyd Jr
Crikey. That's about as good as it gets.
I liked them until they release Diamond Hoo Haa, that record sucks.
Unfortunately, they were on the verge of breaking up during that album and it showed. There were a few gems in that album though.
❤
