As I get older I realise this is the height of stupidity*, sell out like fuck early on when the big big interest is there and when you've the coin made do whatever you want. * Doesn't mean I don't respect the hell out of those that dont.
@@71hammyman Seem to recall watching an interview with Gaz bemoaning that they didn't do much in the states, I don't think he wanted it to be a sell out type of thing but I think he felt they would get recognition in the US and was sad they didn't make it slightly bigger.
I'm in a good mood !!! Love this song !!! I read rest of the posts and saying oh lord I don't want to know. As long as my good comments matter that's all I care about. Great job you guys.
The crowd are barely interested, and that sums up Supergrass's career. I think they're brilliant, a lot of people do, but MOST don't like em. I don't know why, but they've never been massively popular, and that must hurt! Fickle public.
One of the best bands to push on after the Britpop scene and make some real good music, along with blur, the furriest and a couple others.. I think this song and Song 2 were the loud crash to signal the end of Britpop
Glastonbury main stage crowd shots always make me laugh. So many people looking bored and miserable, only there so they can say that they were there (see exhibit A at 1.31)
If you want a good spot near the front of the pyramid stage, you have to get there early and watch every band. That means watching bands you might not like. Probably why the glum faces. My opinion, these were the days when most people went to Glastonbury because they were into the music, not just so they could say they were there. Notice it's mostly men. Skip forward 20 years and it's all young women with flowers in their hair posing on boyfriends shoulders. That's the instagram generation that want to pose and say they were there. All the young women suddenly into music when it becomes cool to be seen at festivals on social media...
Seriously, though... Gaz Coombes surpasses Damon Albarn and both Gallagher brothers by every conceivable metric. I will never understand why Supergrass didn't become one of the biggest bands in the world in the 90s.
Most underrated band of the 90s
LOL, they have always cracked me up!
Not many bands in the 90's had such a significant first album.
Nirvana is one...that's it, can't think of anyone else other than these guys.
Alley Kat Oasis Definitely maybe bro
Agree 100%. Fantastic band.
Plus Nirvana's debut came out in the 80s.
Please save us from our current musical void Supergrass. I am in despair.
Good news my dood
Incredibly talented band, surprised they werent huge in america and everywhere else
They weren't after the fame, refused to be too comercial, sell out!

@@Bdoc76 I don't think they wanted that though, that's the point.

Esto estará guardado en mi corazón...bellos recuerdos flatout 2
Que juegaso!!
When your good, your very fucking good. This band was and still is fucking incredible
Amazing musicians.
Miss this band, I also miss BBC Three, what a channel that was.
Best live version - love it
Way more metal than most metal bands. Playing that solo must be so fun
The solo had a very early radioheads sound to it
2023 and I still love this song and still wonder why the fuck this song is called Richard III ! Love it regardless though.
Just a perfectly crafted jam
Ty SG
In it for the money is one of the best albums of its genre ever.
Yes definitely 👍
Chocar autos y romper todo en el flatout 2 con este tema 💓
Mi infancia
Great night for live Supergrass. I do enjoy their wonderful performances. Keep on rockin' boys!
I'm in a good mood !!! Love this song !!! I read rest of the posts and saying oh lord I don't want to know. As long as my good comments matter that's all I care about. Great job you guys.
Drummer was immense
Thee Britpop band! So underrated.
Supergrass were so awesome, this is such a great power trio performance. Hugely under rated band to this day.
Britpop? These guys lose oasis and blur at every corner . phenonamal band .
Oasis, maybe. Blur is pretty great.
Agreed-maybe neck & neck😋
Oasis was over rated & suprgrass & blur under rated💛😎💛
@@mbot3374 blur underrated? Hardly! They were huge in the 90s
Oasis have more classic tunes than the rest of the Britpop scene put together.
Great band that had some awesome songs

Phangmaster The public are too simple to understand the talent.
These Geezers were a Force! Brilliant band!
Epic band,Brit Rock at its best....
Thx!
Such a solid band ! Damn it !!!!!!
Chuffing amazing band 😍🙏👌🏼🤝👋🙌💖👉😋😊🤓💤😉😱😁🤗😭❤️😘😂💜💕🤩🤭🤫🤨🧐😴
Awesome 😎👌
I’m pissed I didn’t know about them back then.
Far out!!🤟🏻
FlatOut2
I saw them in that stage in 97. Freezing cold and wet through. I think they were on before the Smashing Pumpkins?
Showing 'em how it's done.

Absolutely. These guys were so underrated it was criminal.
The view afternoon - arctic
it slows down after the intro.
2:30 cool ackords👍
Power trio...sheezez....
In it for.........on the money, fuck yeah!
This band is excellent- UK wins again

My concert date got cancelled ffs
Supergrass
AWWW! The tuning pegs on Mickey's bass are in the shape of lovehearts
Fuller's earth
I love them. But must be weird still being in your twenties and with the crowd giving nothing feeling you're over the hill.
Singing on coke part 2
Mick Quinn. Amazing backing vocals. Wouldnt be the same without him.
The DB Band on RUclips
Flat Out 2 for life!!!!
Jeez, they pack a punch for a three piece. Great song.
+ (live) keyboardist
At that point the keyboardist was part of the band officially and he might as well have been the whole time
4 piece actually.
This is a great album
Great band
Never seen anyone graph drums like that 😎
such a tasty riff! and vocals fantastic!!
Remember when Glastonbury was a music festival and not a cringe political rally?
supergrass on stage and no vibe hey THATS GLASTONBURY
that crowd is deader than the condemned dog I had in my doner kebab just now
I saw Supergrass during their heyday and there was no atmosphere then either. Some bands create excitement and some don't
Awesome. I was there!
mrscruffy really?
Solid performance! Wow!
THATS ONE BAND THAT NEVER RUN OUT OF STEAM OR IDEAS IT MUST HAVE BEEN PERSONALITYS
First two albums can be put up against anyone.
my favourite band
Great Great Band!!
sure they're inspiring from the RS i think :)
theyir music is energic
Brilliant band love supergrass
AMAZINGG!
How far is the festival from London or any famous city that us people would recognize?
+morphman21 it's out in farming country, very far from anywhere famous
+morphman21 About 140 miles from London. Nearest big city is probably Bristol(30 miles away).
What a typical comment from a Yank. Look at a globe.
I looove supergrass
He sounds so like Billy Corgan on this song.
No he doesn't. You cretin.
