Yes, great sound. Must be the humbuckers he's got on his telecaster. He's got two of them, although at 16.27 you can see it's only bridge pick-up selected. Most teles I've seen have a single coil at the bridge.
The Telecaster Deluxe is a fantastic looking guitar. I always loved the idea of a Les Paul style pickup selector switch and tone and volume for each pickup but on a tele body. Those things aren't cheap either. With that bullet truss rod adjuster nut I'm guessing it's a 70s model.
One of the first songs I dabbled with back in the 90's when learning guitar. Never heard the song before but I practiced its tab that was published in a mag. It was years later with the advent of the internet I found out how it should have sounded and to be honest I wasnt that far off.
@@harryc505 Apparently, the band would use people's names as working titles for songs and it was the third time they had used the name Richard. Back in the day, I had been told it was in reference to the historical king and tge play by Shakespeare, but that was just someone talking bollocks. 👍😎
I've loved these guys from their early years. I'm so happy I've got my tickets to see them in Dublin in 2025.
"If you want riches for a day, help yourself, if you want richness for life, help other people". Super talented guy and generous with his knowledge.
Like sitting with a new friend learning a favorite song. Thanks from an old bass player. 😎
Brilliant song, brilliant band, brilliant guitarist!
Gaz Coombes, massive talent, top humble guy! One love Gaz
Great tutorial! I'm still learning at 50 and I got the basics after a few mins. I now love my guitar again after months of gathering dust!
One of my favourite 90's tunes. Same energy as Song 2. But preferable.....

Can’t imagine having a better lesson to learn how to play it!!!! Simple brilliant!

Love this band, they’re touring again in 2025! I would like some new music too, though can’t have everything.
That Tele/amp combination sounds massive. I’m gonna have to seek out that WEM as that tone sounds perfect to my ears.

Up there with James Dean Bradfield as one of the great lead vocalist/guitarists
I love both but never thought of the comparison. Good shout. Always looking for something sonically interesting to do and gifted with melody.

Rosewood or well worn maple?
Why no solo? That’s the only bit that’s hard for figure out. :(
It's disappointing and frustrating.
Well done!
Wish I could jam with u so badly
Does anyone know why it's called 'Richard III'??
Richard III is rhyming slang for possibly turd 💩 or bird (as in girl). Why it’s called that I’ve no idea

That fretboard needs a clean 😂😂
Stoned
Oh and then just sing it brilliantly too at the same time that you're doing all that on the guitar...
i used to love this album.. zero interest in the tutorial though..
