This song has always made me feel better during tough times. I have friends at school, but I still feel so ignored by everyone. They only come to me for help or if they just need something in general. I know it really doesn't sound like a big deal, but it hurts me. I don't want to come across as rude to them, so I just do whatever they want me to. But I always listen to this song to help me get through the school day, it just fills up all the emptiness I feel inside, which is a good thing! If you're in a similar situation, I promise everything will become much better soon in the future! But for now just vibe with me to this song :)
I hear you. I still feel like I'm on the "outside" looking in on everyone else, and I'm 41. I have very few real friends, but the one's I do have, including my husband, I know really care about me and love me for who I am. You will find in life the right people will genuinely like you for who you are, and they will find you.
@fifthof Friends are overrated, most anyway. I've lost count of the so-called "friends" I've had and lost, because they didn't really like me for being me. Most people who genuinely like you will pursue a friendship.

Their music wasn’t that great , only a few hits with good Melodies. I liked alright and pumping on your stereo . Don’t really like that song . Blur also had one or two hits . It’s really oasis who were more popular because you buy their album and almost all of their songs had nice Melodies.
I think the fact that 'Alright' was their first single and the reports of Steven Spielberg wanting to do a Monkees type show with them, led to them being seen as a bit of a novelty act early on, but 'In It For The Money' is one of the best albums of the nineties for me.
Incredible song writing and arrangement here, this song just has so much mood. The way the synth and organ work together to provide such layering and depth is sublime.
Love the juxtaposition of two contrasting and very different melodies, the change in tempo and rhythm and the modulation. It's like the song is moving and doesn't quite know what it's doing just like the lyrics. It's sad and lonely yet finding happiness and being upbeat even in chaos and uncertainty.
