Edward Sausagehands Exactly. Oasis? Bollocks!! Supergrass were criminally underated, and all their lyrics, songwriting and performances were way better than Oasis. We gave the crown to the wrong king. It's only recently that people are beginning to realise just how good Supergrass were

Talk about serendipity... I was at the SU Bar at the University of Plymouth with my student mates, getting proper messy. The Word was being shown on the TV Friday night. Just so happened that Supergrass Drummer Danny and his girlfriend Pearl Lowe were in the Bar celebrating. He danced on the table shouting "Look We're on the Telly!" At the time Pearl was doing a Fine Art Degree. That turned out to be an epic party. Didn't realise how important that was to be there, but you got the sense of something magical.
Britpop was a media tag , basically you had bands who grew up listening to the jam, the Smiths, the pistols & loads of 60s stuff the fashion was a mix of Mod & Casuals which was a really cool look to be fair Fred Perry, Clark’s dessert boots, Adidas vintage trainers & trackie tops, cagoules, harringtons no one liked that britpop tag , the best album from that period was the Trainspotting soundtrack
Loved catching this when I was 18, the clothes were Boss I loved it , Fred Perry , Adidas vintage, parkas & Cagoules, trackie tops , Clark’s desert boots , target T shirts , awseome times ......

So unfair these guys were lumped in with "Brit Pop", they are much deeper then that.
Their genre classification doesn’t effect me one iota. I get Supergrass...and I Like...
BritPop is a myth, because all the acts associated with BritPop now all say "Oh, we were never part of BritPop".
