I really love your hacks, especially using the usb slots on TVs in hotels for power and charging phones. The tip not to unpack before checking out a new room is brilliant as is using the ironing platform as a table. My personal hack would be to bring doorstoppers that have alarm built into them for security purposes as well as block the door with chairs or bed at night so no one can enter - especially if there are no deadbolts.

Such as Windham Rewards, Marriot Bonvoy, Choice Privileges, IHG Rewards, etc....As points add up, guests can receive free wi-fi, mini bar credits, room upgrades, and eventually with enough points, free rooms. I get the credit card sign on bonus then never use the card again. Have 10 free nights with IHG. Currently sitting in a free Bonvoy hotel getting ready to go to Cozumel in the morning. Also, use bedside lamps instead of the overhead lights. Some crooks employed in hotels sometimes unlock government cameras installed in places like hotels as a final resort during investigstions, and take a peek at what a person did during their stay in hotel rooms.

I have a foldable caddy that I can put all my Toiletries in. Since I’m married this comes in handle for both of us. Or it there is a bottom self I can put the caddy down there.
Love the rest of the hacks, but leaving the AC on while you're out is wasteful, bad for the environment and costs the hotel money, which eventually gets passed on to the guests.
I cannot even lie... I loved every minute of this video. But there is no way any of us believe that you do not already have (color coordinated) caps for all of your toothbrushes. And probably back-up copies of them :-)
Hi Megan. In addition to making a good toothbrush stand, having a binder or hinged clothespin is also a good way to keep window curtains all the way closed if they don't completely shut on their own. I carry a small packet of disinfecting wipes to sanitize the TV remote, light switches, door handles, countertops, and any surfaces you might touch - the same as you would at your seat on an aircraft. I'm not sure about the hotel zone bus hack you suggest, however; I don't think it is ethical. The same goes for the "saying it is my birthday" hack when it is not your birthday as mentioned by another viewer. That seems tacky.

Can you leave ideas to make hotel stays better for illegals? Although paid by taxpayers, there is never enough to make them happy.
