@Girl in the Glitch Not necessarily. There are things you can’t take at all. If you do, your credit card would be charged. This is the case in Hawaii and in some resorts in the Caribbean. Cheers
Not gonna lie, I often take one white wash cloth! I usually wrap it around my curling iron, as it’s often the last thing I use before leaving and not totally cooled, so it’s added protection from the heat it may still hold.
This video makes me think of that episode of “Friends” when they discussed what could be taken from a hotel room . I recall light bulb was one of them . 😂😂😂😂

Connie Crawford Not true if you don’t have credit cards and you don’t need credit cards to rent a room. Unless the place is trying to be higher end like The Hilton, when they’re expensive enough to require a card, but cheap enough to not letting you use more luxury items like robes.
I used to work a hotel in London and the tea, coffee, popcorn, crisp, biscuits & drinks were all free & included in the room so you should ask at reception when you sign in and we refill them everyday so you could put them all in your suitcase if you’re staying for more then one day and you’ll get more 😛
The hotels that have stoves, refrigerators and dishwashers also have dish soap and packets for the dishwasher. if you bring along a zip lock bag to put your used soap into you can also take those items. The fun of extended stay type places.
I stole a little metal sign thingy that said “smoking Is illegal in this bedroom” In different languages while I was in London England in 2016. Still have it to this day.

Another thing to watch out for: If you DO loan a item and it get set up on bill - DO NOT return it and loan it again. This may cause you to get double billed for the item, especially if there multiple personell checking your room. If you do return a already-billed item, they might put it on checklist (like it was never taken), and then if you take it again, they might go check the latest checklist which said item was unbilled, causing it to be billed again. So keep in mind, everything that you aren't allowed to take, may not leave the room at all, unless its explicitly specified. Another thing to watch out for when it comes to minibars: Some minibars have sensors that detect removal of bottles or other items. how do you think rich people get rich and stay rich? by not spending any money unnecessarily. so any freebies they can get, they will take. I've seen them do things like buying chocolates at a discount shop, take them out of the wrappers at home and present them to guests on a silver etagiere, claiming they bought them at this expensive delicacy shop.

I would 100% ask the front desk about the umbrella. The hotel I worked at would allow guests to borrow the umbrellas but if they did not return it before checkout, they were charged for it.
I love the pillows at Marriott hotels. Keep thinking I might buy some and even checked their online store for pricing. I do take the lotions as they are small enough to carry around in my purse.
The only things I've taken from hotels are those little soaps and stuff. I wanted to take the robe from a hotel I stayed at in Hawaii but was afraid I'd be labeled a thief.
I have collected hotel stationaries and pens. My favorite is from the Langham in London, they also have cards placed on your bed during the turn down service they're pretty and I place them on my pillow when I turn down my bed for myself because quarantine 😹😹😹

I travel a lot for work & recall a time at an interstate meeting. I arrived a day earlier & met another manager the next day. We both remarked on the horrible tasting water (it was bore water) & were happy with the free bottled water in the room. I reminded her the 2 free bottles was fine for or it was $9.50 a bottle for each extra one. We had a $15.00 / day allowance & remarked she owed the hotel money already. The next morning I passed her my 2 extra bottles from my room.
Where do you stay? The hotels I frequent barely has any of these items. Also, they now use the large shampoo, conditioner and soap bottles stuck to the wall.
Right?... I only ever see soap, shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, tea bags, single serve coffee pouches, two coffee filters, non-dairy creamer, sugar and artificial sweeteners, 16oz. disposable drinking cups, plastic bags and pens with no paper. The other things on this list, I've never seen. They don't even leave you a way to brew the coffee or tea. You have to call down to the desk and ask for them, and they bring the mugs at that point. Never slippers, bath robes or hair fixer upper things, no rubber duckies, no reading materials, no razors and/or shaving cream, not even a mini fridge.
I got free toweling slippers but the robe wasnt for keeps but an added upgrade of room. Love it when they have hot chocolate as well as tea or coffee as im more likely to have that. Biscuits on the tray is an added bonus wish more hotels would do this, as I cant drink these beverages without a biccy
If you stay in Burj Al Arab everything inside the bathroom is Hermes brand. They also provide Hermes perfume and Hermes shaving cream which are rare on other hotels and they change Hermes toiletries everyday if you request for daily housekeeping.
One time I stayed at a hotel in North Florida where I had to return the key cards to the front desk, because those were the only cards that worked with the room. And then another time, I stayed at a hotel in Daytona Beach, where instead of using a key card to open your door, you had to use an actual set of keys. Those also had to be returned after you left.
In most of the hotels the keycard is not free to take home and they can charge you for not returning it. The cad is reusable and will be used for next guest by encoding new room number and interval of stay, so definitely do not steel those.
I remember the 1960s when attractive ashtrays with the hotel logo were put in guest rooms. On the back of one, it says "Honestly stolen from [name] hotel." They, too, were an advertising gimmick. You won't find them in modern hotels, however.
You‘ve to find the line between stealing and taking what the hotel owes you... For example Hairdryer? No No No But, shampoos & conditioners? ah Yes Yes Yes!
I don't think you can TAKE THE KEY CARD because ALL of the hotels I've been to you have to return THE KEY!! Because they need it for the next guest cuz the key card only works for that room and they usually charge you more if you lose the/a key card at least that's what i was told and probably no one is going to see this😐😬😅
I always take the toiletries and if I stay more then one night I put them in my suitcase daily so I get new ones everyday. I donate them to my church and once a year the church donates them all to our local homeless shelter.
Great video! I never thought of some of these, thanks! BUT if they didn't let you take all this stuff the room would be 60% less.. Seems like we're not only advertising for them but paying to do it lol.
I am gonna share this video with my hubby. Last time he scolded me why I give all those things with me. Bright side: Thanks for sharing this amazing video. (But before seeing the video I already took all of these with me) They keep the price of these with the hotel rent 🙂
During my trip to Asia, I stayed in a no stars hotel, a family took the TV and hotel door 😂, they been stopped at the reception, they excuse was for the room price they should be allowed to take the tv and the door.
I have always taken the soap ( bring my own) shampoo, conditioner. I have a clear glass bowl with a lid in one of our bathrooms full of soap unwrapped to dry out. Tied twine and little starfish. around the top. It's cute! ... I use liquid bath soap myself. Some hotels have it on the wall in the shower. So I just take the sofa! Lol
While watching this I kept thinking of the 1969 movie "If This Is Tuesday, It Must Be Belgium", about a tour bus that covers nine European countries in 18 days. One of the supporting characters is Harry Dix (played by Aubrey Morris) who brings tons of suitcases, all mostly empty... *and proceeds to take everything that isn't nailed down.* At the conclusion, a sign reading "The End" is shown... and the camera zooms out to show it's a picture... and Dix takes it off the wall and tries to hide it in his coat and sneak off... «grin»
I have a story and my dad left my window open and rain that we asked to used some towels and they told us to keep for free with no extra charge three towels later uses as bathroom mats in the main bathroom. Another freething: $5.00 for a pack of 2 jelly $ 1.00 for 2 pack of 2 jelly container Free for 4 packs of 2 jelly container A stranger : gave me a dollar bill for my brother and I Cleaning the entire play ground and got a candy My brother went for lowest class which is basic to 1st class at same price.
Y'all go ahead and take some of these things, that card y'all put on file for those incidentals, will be charged ! These hotels don't play nice anymore! They will charge you for coffee mugs, robes, and bottled water is usually $10! Not complimentary🙅🏾
@@miracleaadams2613 I know. But still.....its kind of gross to know the fact that the towel is washed and reused again for the next person. Just imagine how many times the towel has been reused.....😫😝

Because they need it for the next guest cuz the key card only works for that room and they usually charge you more if you lose the/a key card at least that's what i was told and probably no one is going to see this😐😬😅
"A mitting bathrobe" A mitting bathrobe" take 2 " A missing bathrobe 😂😂😂😂
I always take the toiletries and if I stay more then one night I put them in my suitcase daily so I get new ones everyday. I donate them to my church and once a year the church donates them all to our local homeless shelter.
Great video! I never thought of some of these, thanks! BUT if they didn't let you take all this stuff the room would be 60% less.. Seems like we're not only advertising for them but paying to do it lol.
9:34 what things from the list would you take for sure?
Me : all the things
I haven't even stayed or even went to a hotel and yet watching these kind of videos

I rarely take things...usually just the lotion. I bring everything else. I guess I’m a soap and hair product snob. Lol
I am gonna share this video with my hubby.
Last time he scolded me why I give all those things with me.
Bright side: Thanks for sharing this amazing video.
(But before seeing the video I already took all of these with me)
They keep the price of these with the hotel rent 🙂
Bright side: take it!

During my trip to Asia, I stayed in a no stars hotel, a family took the TV and hotel door 😂, they been stopped at the reception, they excuse was for the room price they should be allowed to take the tv and the door.
😂😂😂

«grin»
I wouldnt advice taking things from the hotel some of them are not clean and could get you infected so take care

@@miracleaadams2613 I know. But still.....its kind of gross to know the fact that the towel is washed and reused again for the next person. Just imagine how many times the towel has been reused.....😫😝
How many times it’s been used and for what! I travel with my own facecloths. Don’t like to think where the hotel ones have been.
