Mechanics tools boxes are on wheels because if they are any good they can get another job quickly if the shop they currently are employed at doesn't work out. ASE certifications help.
My 392 was a 2011. And man was it hard to find. It had to be later than 2010, because that is when they went to the 392. It had to be younger than 2015, because that is when they screwed up and changed to the 1971 grill and taillights. It had to have a 6 speed tremec. Oh and it had to be red or black. With that narrow criteria, I searched for two MONTHS for that car. I finally found it up in Lancaster, PA (I live in NC). But it was worth it. That was the finest car I have ever owned!
I can't watch another episode because the constant bickering is unbearable!

Daren needs to be replaced he is just a problem if he quits good riddance. I don't agree with Marks management style I used to run a shop with 14 or 15 people working for me and remarks like what Mark makes like "I'm an Italian tank and I'm going to run over you" is uncalled for and not necessary and creates friction, employees need to be treated with respect if you want them to stay around!
If the show was not on t.v mark would have got his ass handed to him many times .. I'm a 3rd gen tech an we fight this is not a trade for people running there mouth ... Just saying
Paul you're the type of owner I chose to not be. My team doesn't work for me. They work with me and we work together. Anytime I've hired anyone I've never said "come work for me" or anything similar. Just starting a relationship with an employee from the very start in the interview stage goes a long ways and having your team know the owner works with them versus them feeling like they work for someone will often breathe resentment in a lot of people.
If I owned that business I would give Daren Kirkpatrick the parts I borrowed and then tell him he's fired. Also only the owner of the business is the only person that can decide how the profits are spent not the employees related or not.
All the crap that goes on is why I don't watch Graveyard Carz any more just like Orange County Choppers. It would be nice if they could act like normal people!

Mark is exactly like Senior on Orange County Choppers. He drives everybody crazy. I don’t know how he keeps anybody working for him.

I sure know how this feels. I had to quit before retirement due to the same setup. Sometimes you just have to cut and run or you could or would hurt someone. This is so hard to watch.

This show was like 2 separate experiences. With Darren.. toxic and unwatchable. Post Darren.. enjoyable and funny. Yes.. Mark has a ego but most of his antics are a act for the camera.

This show is the best show on the air unless it is with Darren and Josh… Then the show is a total waste of time. Those two really bring this entire experience down.
No matter what and disregarding the “numbers matching” aspect of the car, I would never put a 318 (non magnum blue) engine in my muscle car. But, that is the sucky part of owning a MOPAR after 1971. All three of them that I owned as a kid/young man were two from 1970 (orange magnum engines) and one 1971 (roadrunner). I never knew MOPAR’s came in any engine color but, orange. 🤙
Weather they quit or got fired doesn't matter. I believe everyone is glad they are gone. I know I am. It was getting to were I didn't want to watch the show. Now it is great! It's a much better show without Derrin. Period
This is hard to watch! The lack of leadership to create team work is so sad to see. Yes Mark knows a lot, but his ego and narcissism sets up the dynamic for putting everyone down instead of constructive suggestions and a way of teaching instead of derision towards the crew. So sad to watch. Yes, they build beautiful cars, but look at the cost to the individual members of the team,.

Actually Josh was fired after Mark found out Josh, his then son in law, was putting the sausage to Holley; Holley was fired earlier after Mark found out she was stealing large quantities of sodas and candy from the theater.

I've seen this before, when you're too friendly with your employees they want to play all day instead of work. Its hard to get some of them back in line...Darren was amusing at times but he was poison to the work environment.

its hard for me to believe MARKS total disrespect for his people. i would never have survived 45+ years doing collision and restoration work , if i disrespected my employees and acted the fool at work. OR IS IT ALL IN THE "SCRIPT"

Mark needs leadership training. He is a good guy with a good heart and is honest and truthful. But you cannot stir the pot. Insults, harassment, being rash and abrasive really irks people. If Mark wants to build a business and move his mission forward, he needs to inspire team, not getting people mad and all hot and bothered. I would not call Mark a full on narcissist but I would say he has too much abusive drive with others. You make people want to do by appreciating them, reinforcing them and confirming their good work. A good counselor might be able to mirror Mark so he can see how others see him, not through the rose colored glasses he wears al the time. FYI Mark you are not Elton John so you need to see clearly leave the Rose colored glasses to Rocket Man

I enjoy Mark’s knowledge and attention to detail but he really is not funny. If anyone took a part off my car to profit without asking there would be a huge problem. Not the way to treat a friend and a lack of respect for the owner and their property. Everything else in the shop is Mark’s but hands off someone else’s car. Maybe someone should “borrow” his tools and parts. See where that goes.

@@rodobrien3488 , in "TV land" Josh and Daren quit, however the truth of the matter is that Mark and the show's producers thought the show was losing its audience, and firing Josh and Daren was the only recourse they had.
Local gossip had it that Josh, who was Mark's son in law at the time( Alyssa 's husband) was having an affair with former employee Holley, fueling Mark's decision to fire him.
Daren told a Eugene radio station that he had a "financial investment " in Mark's business, and therefore had an "obligation" to work in the shop.
Of course all the above is speculation, but if you look at how the show first started out, the turmoil, arguing and fighting.., all probably scripted, then watched Mark's anger flare up during later episodes-unscripted, then it doesn't take many brain cells to figure out the demise of Josh and Daren.
They were fired in a text message! I've seen the text personally!
