Thank you for the review Dr! But thought I should share my personal experience with sunscreen as an acne prone, combo leaning to oily skin person. Most of the sunscreen I've tried hv caused my skin to break out including the aqua essence one. Yeap, it's really depends on our individual skin which sometimes works differently than the general guideline given. This happened to me too. And I'm so glad that you've found a sunscreen that works for you 🤗
Me too. I'm on my 2nd bottle right now. The only minor problem is it very hard to wash off from face. If I only use my everyday cleanser it's not going to wash all the sunscreen from my face. I can still feel the rough texture of sunscreen on my face. But recently I've been practicing double cleansing. Clean my face with oil cleanser and then my everyday cleanser. i’ve been using watery essence like almost 5 bottles, its really suitable for oily skin and acne prone. almost like a moisturiser and sunblock 2 in 1. the best everrr to use under makeup or just as it is

Yes I agree! In fact after using the blue bottle perfect milk for years, along with every other version, this is one of the best for oily skin in humid weather. It dries down to feeling like nothing and great for makeup. I am a makeup artist. My mum who has dry oily combo and also hot flush uses it. It’s the only one that controls her T-zone. Seriously, tho, idk why he complains about the smell that bad, it doesn't bother me. I have oily and acne-prone skin and while using the 3rd one, my skin actually doesn't react at all. I used Anessa before moved on to this product and I have to say I prefer this one over the pricy Anessa. The white casting is not bad, either. The only time it shows is when you forget to spread it out, that's all. Normally, it disappears right away. Greasy is another not-a-problem thing because it will dry as matte after settle down on my skin. The sticky sensation only lasts for few minutes (or seconds, I would dare to say) at first. The only thing one should be careful when using this is not to wash your face during the day because of how dry it will be after but I actually encounter the worse scenario with Anessa. Do I believe it the best one for my skin? Probably not, but it is a decent one for sure. The lifetime is pretty good also, it has been almost a year and I'm still on my first bottle (my Anessa lastest for about 6-9 months max).
Same experience i tried with watery essence 1st. It suit well. I dont like my face look dewy as well. Then i used biore uv perfect milk ( blue bottle) i like it so much. It have matte finishing.
I have used the yellow-moistured sunscreen for over 5 years and it's still works on my face. I had tried other types of sunscreens but this is the most suitable for my dry skin
May I ask what kind of makeup remover you use to remove this sunscreen? I recently wanted to find a makeup remover suitable for students only to remove sunscreen because if I don’t remove it, I will have white powder on my face.
I don’t believe Biore aqua watery essence sunscreen because I got so much burn when I was outside for only an hour! Use it only when you’re inside!!! They can’t protect enough... I liked the texture but it won’t work.
My skin type is dry skin and sensitive. Ive been using the watery essence for 2 years plus now and honestly, this is the best sunscreen that ive tried. It suits my skin well eventhough it has alcohol. 😂 My skin looks glowing too which caused everyone always ask me what skincare I use. 😄 😄
Biore perfect milk feels like oil when you apply because its high in silicone, but after a minute or two it dries matte, doesn't have oil in the ingredients list and I think its great for oily skin. Biore Watery essence - I hate this sunscreen, it NEVER dries on the skin and gives a very, VERY greasy looking. VERY GREASY LOOKING. I would never recommend it for oily skin types. Its definitely more suited for normal to dry skin. Both of them didn't make me break out but the Biore Perfect milk has a nicier appearance on the skin for oily skin. I think the test should be on the face and give the sunscreen more time to settle. The finish on the hand is very different from the face.
yess I agree,,,my suncreen is biore perfect milk and it's sooo nice to my skin, and then I saw some people really recommended the biore' aqua blablabla and then I took 2 month to buy it, and then I buy, so expensive you know and then I apply it on my skin,,,,,,, a few moment later it still greasy at my face😭😭I tried and tried and then I stop😪 because I'm combination skin type so I can't accept the greasy texture, so I back to my biore perfect milk and yess it really nicer than the aqua one, I think it not greasy at all because my moisturiser is a little bit greasy (but I like hehe) but after I applied the sunscreen, it's mateee bruhhh💕💕💕💕I really like it
Yes totally agree with u. Biore watery essence is greasy and make my skin worst since my skin is oily type. I changed to Biore milk moisture and it dry very fast not greasy at all.
I'm about to comment regarding this and im agreed with you. my skin type is oily and acne prone and for me biore aqua tu greasy gilaa. i pakai for 2 hours and i couldn't stand with it sebab rasa berminyak and melekit. i guna biore perfect milk moisturizer tu dah 3 years and it is fine for me. but i think this sunscreen depends on people preference.
im experiencing the same situation too! And i have an oily skin. sooo greasy/melekit even though after 30 minutes application. and its a waste of time for me to wait for it to dry as im rushing off to work/outing. so i using back the yellow bottle BUT i think i have to use the blue bottle since it has better coverage (i was not aware of the difference coz i thought its the same)
The Biore UV Cool is actually the best one I tried so far, for my very oily skin. It actually dries matte on the skin. In humidity, it makes my skin the least oily.
Trust me biore uv perfect protect milk cool very good for oily skin, I tried so many sunscreen before for my very oily skin, little bit white cast but matte finish, please try and thanks me latter.
Actually, I have oily skin/combination and Perfect Milk is the only one so far that does well in oil control. It absorbs really quickly on my face though so it's a big surprise when you said it's greasy. Probably you should also actually apply each of them to give comment on the texture, not just apply on your hand :D
i also use perfect milk for years and it really help me to control face oil. applied watery essence few time and find it made my face oily after some time
Been using perfect milk for about 3-4 years now. I have normal-combination (non-sensitive) skin. Yes the face milk is a bit greasy but not too much and i find it making my makeup more long lasting with it. Also, i like the white cast/tone up because i'm into korean makeup and it helps with the glowy effect. Not to mention I only had none to minor sunburnt my face thanks to it. Im easily sunburnt if i dont apply sunblock tho.
Review jujur dari saya. Dah pakai tiga2. Kulit sy jenis combination dan mudah berjerawat. Pakai botol kuning dan biru(biore milk) dan sangat sesuai dgn kulit. Yg biore milk botol biru tu mula2 sapu mmg rasa greasy. Tapi lepas sapu rata2 dia ok je. Pakai bedak pun lekat elok. Berbanding biore aqua rich. Kulit sy jadi berminyak dan mudah naik jerawat.
In fact, not everyone has allergic dermatitis. (You can read in labmuffin skin beauty posts) Some of us really enjoy good scented skincare and we don’t have negative reaction towards it.

Wow your reviews are really funny. My experience was that the watery essence is greasy, while the uv face milk dries matte. If anyone is reading, please read other reviews online .
The yellow one surprisingly suit my oily skin and give matte finishing. After all, it depends on skin. Gel type is absolutely cant be accepted by my skin
Thank you so much for this comparison video, it’s very informative! Can you please cover more sunscreens that are great for oily, acne-prone and sensitive skin in hot humid weather?
it's weird how watery essence is super sticky and greasy on my face (like it takes forever to dry) yet perfect milk ends up being more matte.... but perfect milk literally leaves a layer of white stuff on my skin which doesn't go away :|
Same! I don’t get it why everyone recommends the watery essence to oily skin. I have dry skin but watery essence makes my skin look greasy and sticky. I prefer the face milk, it gives a dewy finish instead of a shiny finish, but yeah, the white cast makes me look even more pale than I already am
Previously I used shiseido perfect protector. Too expensive for my budget and decided to try biore sunscreen. I used to love biore uv watery essence, but after using it for 1 month, I realized that I actually got tanned like 4 shades darker 😅. Even with religiously reapplying after every 2 hour. Learned my lesson and sticking with physical/combination sunscreen for now. Currently using Allie Chrono sunscreen & Aqua+ sunscreen. Both didn't have issue with my acne prone combination skin.
I have acne prone skin and have been using the watery essence for years, it works great for me doesn't cause breakout not too oily after application and little to no visible whitecast. Mostly importantly it has good coverage as well!
Yeahh, me too. I have an extremely oily skin and this is the only one that works all day long without being greasy. It looks greasy when you’re applying but then it gets dry touch
Thanks for the review, Dr. However, I beg to defer. The perfect milk version is by far the best in my opinion, texture wise. It is very watery and “greasy” when you first apply it, but it dries matte. I have really oily/acne-prone skin, but this works best as compared to the rest. :)))
Sy pengguna biore aqua rich ..sy ada kombinasi skin ..ia buat sy nampak sgt oily ..then sy try biore protect milk cool ..skin nmpk ok soft and not looking very oily or too berkilau ..
I am a middle school student and I currently like the first biore uv sunscreen in a yellow bottle. I usually use it when I go to school. It has good sun protection. What I like the most is that my face does not get oily after using it because I am myself. It's a big oily skin. But there is a problem: it needs to be removed after use. I really want to know what kind of makeup remover I use to remove this sunscreen. I recently wanted to find a makeup remover suitable for students. It can only be used to remove sunscreen because if I don’t remove it, there will be white powder on my face. So I’m using it now. The makeup remover is the garnier makeup remover sold by Guardian in a pink jar. It can indeed remove sunscreen. However, recently my face has become red, dry and itchy. I am afraid that it will cause my face to become rotten. I am not sure what the problem is, so please Thank you very much for anyone who knows and can give me some pointers! !
I used both original face milk yellow bottle and aqua and been using the yellow one over 10bottles and aqua for twice..I've acne prone skin but been loving the yellow one and keep get back to this product..while the aqua one, it feels lot greasy and uncomfortable..even it's says watery, it turns more oily...I guess my skin tolerate with acne prone ingredients very well 😂 ..thank you for the info..

I disagree with you. The Perfect Protect Milk Moisture (yellow sunscreen), is perfect for oily and combination skin. It absorb well to the skin and it is not greasy at all. It also not making my face oily throughout the day.

I bought some Bioré Watery Essence SPF 50 and was really looking forward to using it. Unfortunately, it gives my face a pretty good rash after only one day (one application, since I work indoors, in a windowless building.) I tried using it a few days in a row and let's just say it wasn't pretty. It took a lot longer than a few days to go away, too. It's a shame, because otherwise it was a really good sunscreen.
My skin is acne prone skin. I already tried the first bottle that u reviewed, and it cause my skin to breakout. Now I'm using the second bottle of biore perfect milk. It works well on my skin! No more breakout. Yes, it is little bit greasy, but i love it since it helps me to apply the foundation easier😆😆😆
I use the yellow cool, and my skin is feel light bcs of the texture and not sticky. The biore aqua water essence, is very greasy to me and it feel sticky. Not only that, it makes my skin dull when i apply it. I have combination skin, just my nose is oily and the rest of my face is dehydrated. Before u guys try any product, just do patch test first to see how the product or ingredient suite u
I have oily acne prone skin, i could not tolerate any chemical sunscreen even though it is gel type, and the texture doesnt matter to me, bcs even it greasy the matte finishing is more important to me
Tbh, had used the biore water essence, but really don't like on how it makes my face oily and too shiny. Now that i've been using the yellow moisture bottle, it might feel greasy on hand but later when apply and spreading on face it become matte and not making my face oily. And i am normal to combi type of skin.

I'm not prejudice to Biore sunscreeen but most of them contain a high percentage of alcohol and scent. But the most important things is, their sunscreeens just provide a 'less' coverage of UVA ( longer UVA rays ), which is I most concern about! There is however some of their sunscreeens contain a new generation of UV filters such as Tinosorb and Uvinul A Plus. My favourite by far, dubbed as medical grade sunscreeens because their product came with some research or data to support or claim theirs. La Roche Posay and L'Oréal sunscreen win my heart because it contain few types of new filters such as Tinosorb, Uvinul A Plus and Mexoryl.
the watery essence sunscreen makes my skin more oily after few hours of putting it on.. probably due to the hight alcohol content that dries up my skin...
It has alcohol as 2nd ingredient which is high content and fragrance. Aren’t both drying and sensitize the skin? The alcohol break the skin barrier causing skin drier and then the fragrance added in. Why it is recommended?
Because usually sunscreen is the last step for a skincare routine hence you've already should have applied moisturiser beforehand. Aqua essence targetted mainly chemical sunscreen & is for drying skin as it will kills bacteria. Alcohol is not usually the "evil" ingredient but just how you utilise it.
Can you make a video on skin barrier, what it comprised of, what conditions may compromise it, and then kave beauty the great barrier relief philosophy?
dr ingky, actually I think cosrx aloe sun cream is the best and cheapest sunscreen in malaysia also work wonderful for oily skin! only sold RM3x.xx per bottle online ! which I think better than all of these and also better than any sunscreen that very expensive because it doesnt make skin greasy! I have oily sensitive acne skin but good with cosrx sun cream
I bought the watery essence sunscreen, and at first I was really impressed how amazing and affordable it is but then... the sunscreen gives a very greasy look after a few hours of application, like extremely oily. Which resulted in me getting breakouts:( The only sunscreen that truly worked for my skin was the klairs uv essence but sadly its discontinued
It’s starting to wear off after a “few hours” - it’s not turning greasy. Sunscreen should be reapplied every 2-3 hours, but earlier than that if you’re sweating or swimming.
Why the doctor is applying the sunscreen on hand? Why he’s rating it on based on the smell? He said the perfect milk one is bad for oily acne prone skin but it suited my oily skin.
Pernah beli yg kuning, sekali je pakai sbb lepas pakai, bila terdedah dngn cahaya matahari terasa mcm seorng vampire, muka terbakar sakit 😫 so skrng masih tgh cri sunscreen

I really like the watery essense one but the only problem it is chemical sunscreen which takes time to wait before going out. Plus I've heard chemical sunscreen might be dangerous. Can you elaborate more about this! Thanks and have a nice day!!! 🥳
it depends. most people's skin can tolerate alcohol and alcohol is important as a preservative and reduces oil on the skin. However it can be over-dry skin and cause skin irritation, leading to redness and even more ACNE!

Is it weird that it makes me LOOKS oily BUT I don't feel the oiliness. It's literally weightless. I love the feels but hate the looks
I don’t believe Biore aqua watery essence sunscreen because I got so much burn when I was outside for only an hour! Use it only when you’re inside!!! They can’t protect enough... I liked the texture but it won’t work.
@@honeyl4754 maybe it depends on where you live and your skin tone/type
I've been using BIORE FACE MILK suitable for oily and acne prone skin and its mattifying my face all day
My skin type is dry skin and sensitive. Ive been using the watery essence for 2 years plus now and honestly, this is the best sunscreen that ive tried. It suits my skin well eventhough it has alcohol. 😂 My skin looks glowing too which caused everyone always ask me what skincare I use. 😄 😄
do you use a moisturiser too..
if so what moisturiser
@@ThePipsWhispererI use Clinelle Hydracalm moisturizer. 😊
Have you ever use cosrx sunscreen?
@@lydianajaswin1987 No. I never change my sunscreen since ive found the one that suits me well. 😊 Which is this biore watery essence. 😁
I also agree I'm also going to comment regarding Face Milk because I am using it 1 month now and it is matte finished after a few minutes .
im experiencing the same situation too!
Good for you
Trust me biore uv perfect protect milk cool very good for oily skin, I tried so many sunscreen before for my very oily skin, little bit white cast but matte finish, please try and thanks me latter.
Actually, I have oily skin/combination and Perfect Milk is the only one so far that does well in oil control. It absorbs really quickly on my face though so it's a big surprise when you said it's greasy. Probably you should also actually apply each of them to give comment on the texture, not just apply on your hand :D
i also use perfect milk for years and it really help me to control face oil. applied watery essence few time and find it made my face oily after some time
True
@@weiwei9822 me too, i always go back to bior perfect milk
The yellow or blue?
Exactly
Been using perfect milk for about 3-4 years now. I have normal-combination (non-sensitive) skin. Yes the face milk is a bit greasy but not too much and i find it making my makeup more long lasting with it. Also, i like the white cast/tone up because i'm into korean makeup and it helps with the glowy effect. Not to mention I only had none to minor sunburnt my face thanks to it. Im easily sunburnt if i dont apply sunblock tho.
Im using the Aqua Rich and I am glad it's recommended
Review jujur dari saya. Dah pakai tiga2. Kulit sy jenis combination dan mudah berjerawat. Pakai botol kuning dan biru(biore milk) dan sangat sesuai dgn kulit. Yg biore milk botol biru tu mula2 sapu mmg rasa greasy. Tapi lepas sapu rata2 dia ok je. Pakai bedak pun lekat elok. Berbanding biore aqua rich. Kulit sy jadi berminyak dan mudah naik jerawat.
funny they are scoring also base on how good the smell is when fragrance is actually one of the main cause of alergic dermatitis.
In fact, not everyone has allergic dermatitis. (You can read in labmuffin skin beauty posts) Some of us really enjoy good scented skincare and we don’t have negative reaction towards it.
@@yinjia7045 - This. I know some people do react to fragrance negatively, but most people do not. It's more of a personal preference, not a necessity.
Yes im oily skin too and it suit perfectly
Thank you so much for this comparison video, it’s very informative! Can you please cover more sunscreens that are great for oily, acne-prone and sensitive skin in hot humid weather?
omg i have the same skin type and environment as yours
it's weird how watery essence is super sticky and greasy on my face (like it takes forever to dry) yet perfect milk ends up being more matte.... but perfect milk literally leaves a layer of white stuff on my skin which doesn't go away :|
Me too
Same tho
It takes like seven washes to get the perfect milk off my face.
Same! I don’t get it why everyone recommends the watery essence to oily skin. I have dry skin but watery essence makes my skin look greasy and sticky. I prefer the face milk, it gives a dewy finish instead of a shiny finish, but yeah, the white cast makes me look even more pale than I already am
@@labaccident2010 do you oil cleanse?
finally combination skin type!! definitely subscribe!!
Acne prone here, been using watery essence for 5 years. The best sunscreen price wise. Other product suitable for acne prone is cosrx.
May I know if both sunscreen are non comedogenic ? I have been trying so hard to find the right sunscreen to use on my face.
Does it smell like alcohol?

However, I beg to defer. The perfect milk version is by far the best in my opinion, texture wise. It is very watery and “greasy” when you first apply it, but it dries matte. I have really oily/acne-prone skin, but this works best as compared to the rest. :)))
do you use the blue bottle? i have a similar skin type and really want to avoid greasy sunscreens
i really agree i have combination skin, more to oily, good for me for years.
I’ve tried *ALL* of biore sunscreen and believe me, the aqua blue one is THE besttt
Hi, I'm afraid to try it because of the contain of alcohol, I've tried 3w clinic and it make my skin break out, should i tryyy aqua the blue one ? 😕

The Biore Watery Essence is what I use. I love it!

Is it okay to have alcohol in sunscreen?
I have normal skin type and I use Biore Aqua Rich sunscreen but my face look tanned after using that sunscreen. What I need to do? 😕
the watery essence sunscreen makes my skin more oily after few hours of putting it on.. probably due to the hight alcohol content that dries up my skin...
me too...my face is more oily after using watery essence after some time
Try biore face milk d best for oily prone skin
It has alcohol as 2nd ingredient which is high content and fragrance. Aren’t both drying and sensitize the skin? The alcohol break the skin barrier causing skin drier and then the fragrance added in. Why it is recommended?
Because usually sunscreen is the last step for a skincare routine hence you've already should have applied moisturiser beforehand. Aqua essence targetted mainly chemical sunscreen & is for drying skin as it will kills bacteria. Alcohol is not usually the "evil" ingredient but just how you utilise it.
I am going to try aqua based water. Looks good. Bcoz my skintype is oily and acne prone skin
Review please....
Can you make a video on skin barrier, what it comprised of, what conditions may compromise it, and then kave beauty the great barrier relief philosophy?
Hello dr ingky, blh recommend sunscreen yg mesra hrga, non fragrance and non-comedogenic plssssssssssss
dr ingky, actually I think cosrx aloe sun cream is the best and cheapest sunscreen in malaysia also work wonderful for oily skin! only sold RM3x.xx per bottle online ! which I think better than all of these and also better than any sunscreen that very expensive because it doesnt make skin greasy! I have oily sensitive acne skin but good with cosrx sun cream
Great idea. We are gonna cover CosRX very soon
But biore sunscreens has alcohol in it... Does it affect our skin long term wear?
Alcohol doesn't agree well with sensitive skin however long term use of skincare grade alcohol doesn't harm the skin.
I bought the watery essence sunscreen, and at first I was really impressed how amazing and affordable it is but then... the sunscreen gives a very greasy look after a few hours of application, like extremely oily. Which resulted in me getting breakouts:( The only sunscreen that truly worked for my skin was the klairs uv essence but sadly its discontinued
try rovectin aqua
It’s starting to wear off after a “few hours” - it’s not turning greasy. Sunscreen should be reapplied every 2-3 hours, but earlier than that if you’re sweating or swimming.
Why the doctor is applying the sunscreen on hand? Why he’s rating it on based on the smell? He said the perfect milk one is bad for oily acne prone skin but it suited my oily skin.
