Dave acted like a guy on the verge of being fired the entire time he was in Nirvana 🤷🏼♂️😆
He was like the little brother lol
@Richard Schiffman it's said that kurt actually disliked dave in a way
@Richard Schiffman Nirvana went through a lot of drummers and nearly got rid of Dave but then didn't. Then Dave treated his drummers the same way!
@@serpserpserp true lol
Everlong is a confession to killing Kurt. Watch the video, Dave kills people for a Blonde woman. Wonder what blonde woman could have convinced someone to kill people for her?
“Now we can write together even more.” If only it lasted a little while longer.
True indeed
In all honesty, Nirvana would have probably broke up anyway.
@@wantutosigh1117 naw they would have taken a break ....everyone collectively knows they needed a break ....but everyone was money hungry ...I’d be sick of singing those songs every single night for 300 days out the year too literally...it’s not like a rap concert where the dj just plays the track ..
@@LilHondaCivic808 Yeah they needed a break but Kurt had crazy amounts of pressure on him from the label and management to keep touring and he was not having the same fun. He was also about to divorce his awful wife and prob go though some ugly court proceedings that would've played out in public. He also had a few side projects he was excited to do away from Nirvana. So I think effectively the band would've broken up or been on extended hiatus but they could've still gotten back together. But it would've been at least a few years.
Yeah
Before we had "I think I broke my legg" we had "I think I broke my finger"

As a lifelong guitarist who also plays drums occasionally, I resemble this comment.
He was putting up his hair lol
It means go dammit! im not setting the tempo just start hitting ur stupid sticks against those round things
Then say it's too slow and they say you started it and we say you're the drummer
Damn I wish Kurt was still around 😩😩😩

@Gisselle ST group HUG ! 😫😢😭😫
He is better where he is. Waiting for us.
Why?
Why you knew him?? 😅 #Whatever
Daves like a god dam metronome with his drumming, of course Kurt loved Dave and vice versa, Yeah there's always going to be a weird family like dynamic, like big brother and little brother, Daves a couple of years younger, so he was more the little brother in alot of stuff lol, he was only in his early 20s don't forget.
You can see Daves happy just letting Kurt do his thing, Daves still pretty shy, he did his talking on the drum kit back then. Dave got to be big brother in the foo's, so it's all good.
These guys are going to get pissed off at each other at times, there basically spending every waking hour together.
It's all good, or was all good lol
whatever!

💯💯💯
You should check out this new band called black midi. That drummer is inhuman. Look up a performance of "ducter"
They made great music but it was not all good. Heavy drug use makes life intolerable. I used to be a heroin addict and it's just not possible for things to be "all good" with your close relationships during that time. I love them all but they were not getting along particularly toward the end. The #1 biggest destructive factor was Kurt's Satanism and worship of demons. There are some great sources for info on this if you search for it.
I understand it'll be hard to believe or maybe you don't think any of that is real, but it is. Kurt was a Satanist. It's present in his lyrics, although cleverly disguised with double meanings a lot of the time. You can see it in pictures when Kurt does the "one eye symbolism" and Dave is also a Satanist.. he also does the signs.
Krist was a Satanist too. They all were. Demons mess with your relationships with each other and influence your thoughts to create conflict.
Demon worship will bring you to destruction and they also used Kurt as a medium to influence fans through the lyrics in subconscious ways. Countless people have been influenced negatively by all this without their awareness.
@@lightbeforethetunnel they may have believed in them but demons arnt real.
For the record kurt actually really liked the fact that he wasn't the only one writing songs in the band. It stressed him out having to write everything.
On one hand Kurt was a beautiful soul too sensitive for this cruel world, etc, etc.; but on the other hand he was also, at least at times, a bit of a prick.

Doesn't matter man looked at him now, formed his own foo fighters n become one of the biggest rock n roll bands of all time. He made it
Kurt talked about kicking him out and replacing him with Dan Peters from Mudhoney. Krist talked him out of it. Dave later confronted Kurt about it and Kurt said they'd never kick Dave out behind his back. The relationship between Kurt and Dave was definitely strained towards the end, even Dave has said so multiple times.
I actually read an article this morning where Dave talks about overhearing Krist and Kurdt talking about kicking him out the band... Apparently they weren't as close of friends as we all thought... But in hindsight Dave kinda always did seem like the odd man out
Idk I just don’t think u can “kick Dave out” after never mind ...I mean prior yea but he was NIRVANA so idk it’s just all sad

I wouldnt take the Kurt hated Dave thing that seriously. We're talking about an iconoclast concerning Kurt! He was stressed, on H, in a bad marriage and under carreer pressure. Kurt always went against everything in almost a self sabotaging way...the hate for Nevernind production, the GnR disses, his family and even his own band mates. He was hanging out with Pat and even recorded few new songs with him and the guitar player of the band Hole 2 weeks before his death... @@graciekattan6618 you also don’t have a penis so…..my opinion still stands😎📠💯
Because it was just 3 guys their interdynamics are unique. In every interview Kurt is playing bored, half asleep, and tries one maybe 2 "lennonesque" type quips. Krist seems like a frat boy with too much money and generally sets the vibe for any interview. Dave is different, he is younger coming into a fairly well known punk band. As it was known at the time. He is reserved but is playing a lot of Stan and Laurel sideman for most of Krist's antics. And Kurt didn't seem to care so he was no help to Dave. Everything Dave did he did it himself. Impressively.
I have an easter egg for ya, at 1:10 when Dave does the 'money' gesture with his hands as Kurt was looking down... Well... you cant get anything past Kurt! A few months later, obviously after Kurt had viewed the interview on TV... He did the exact same 'money' gesture back at Dave before In Bloom, at the 12-30-93 La Forum gig! There were many times Kurt was not keen on Dave during In utero tour, but that one was hilarious as it was so passive aggressive from Kurt, waiting for Dave to start the drum beat and Kurts way of saying 'you want the money?' "play when Im ready please!" "Thats what you are here for!".
You could tell that I'm 93 there was tension between them, the unplugged gig...Dave was nearly not allowed to play. On a plane Kurt said he wanted to sack Dave while Dave was listening. That's why Dave sings the lyric "I don't owe you anything." In I'll stick around. If it wasn't for Nirvana..Dave wouldn't be where he is today, he would still be successful, not as big though
Actually something is taken out of context. take the same "mtv". kurt played the song alone, after which he was told that he did not do a bad job. to which he replied "shut up" in a joking way because he thought he was being pranked.I do not deny that they had not the most excellent relationship, especially at the end. but in general they were good friends and bandmates.:)
I think the last interview was kind of disrespectful trying to take credit for the riff, krist stepping in and giving dave the credit he deserved there is nice to see but then Kurt's reaction to that saying it was boneheaded until he reworked it, man for someone who claims to have not wanted attention why not just give him the credit he deserved in the first place without the snideyness about it
Because Kurt was a sarcastic asshole...he def wanted the attention his whole aesthetic was to act like he didn’t care and drugs don’t help with that at all ...his attitude would change a lot similar to what Kanye does in today’s time I feel
@@LilHondaCivic808 I like Nirvana myself so I'm not criticising him too much or at all really but some things he said don't line up too well, like how he didn't want the success and he didn't like never-ending because it was more accessible, because as a musician myself (albeit not a popular or even hear of one lol) I couldn't outright say a song sucks. Plus even on in utero yeah they went for a slightly more abrasive sound but you still had afew accessible to the mainstream songs on there like heart shaped box. The drugs obviously didn't help though yeah and still having that edgy attitude that youth can bring lol
I don’t think Kurt remembered or cared that Dave wrote the riff. He’s just being sarcastic because him and Dave didn’t get along. He wasn’t trying to take credit from Dave. It’s obvious he doesn’t care since I think Kurt was writing better songs than teen spirit.
Passive - Aggressive is the religion of the PNW.

Yes that’s Dave’s song ! Dave on vocals Kurt on drums ...they put it out as a b side track ...scentless apprentice was Dave’s second song to make a nirvana track ..Kurt was just warming up to the idea of Dave’s ideas being incorporated
@@LilHondaCivic808 more like Dave was just getting established to the point he had the balls to show some of his music that her wrote in spare time and Kurt liked pretty much all of it..... @DinkusDoof you’re right and my opinion just happens to be on the side of the truth
@DinkusDoof Your whole arguement is just your opinion. A farewell to kings is a fantastic album, fly by night is amazing, moving pictures is fantastic. The only album I can think of where you might have a point is moving pictures, and that’s solely because they use similar guitar tones and synths on each song but not the same guitar riff. Their level of technical ability speaks for itself. Alex lifeson has imaginative and ambitious guitar playing, geddy is a fantastic bassist AND synth player, and Neil peart is arguably the greatest drummer of all time. The lyricism was wide and varied, spanning from tales of black holes and soft ballads about lord of the rings, to talking about materialism and the keeping your artistic flame burning while society tries to snuff it out. They had the integrity to make nerd music and stay true to themselves while everyone around them was trying to be rockstars and write songs about girls and partying. Dave was never close friends with cobain..... but did become good friends with Novoselic over time. Today they are tight...... But Kurt was always a wierd, anti-social drug addict.... totally different from Dave!
They were roommates
2 sacrifices now, by Dave, one was Kirt, 2nd Taylor Hawkins
I am 43... So mtv was the shit in M youth... Now 2022: the year I learned that the Foo fighters lead singer was nirvanas drummer...
Never to late to learn something..
Lol
Little did Kurt know how many songs Dave had up his sleeve Lol
And none of them were better than what Kurt had up his sleeve for the 4th album
@@LilHondaCivic808 so we're going there now? Who's better? Please...
Yeah shitty songs
@@kennyfoster655 Kurt was and is better ha
Wow I’m so glad These RUclips comments explained the deep truth behind Cobain and Grohls personal relationship. I was going to read Grohls book but you guys know what you’re talking about.
he doesn't wrote a lot about him nor Novoselic, only FF and his family
you weren't gonna read shit. nobody reads that shit
i wouldnt read that book if it was free. I hate what he did to Hawkins and think he knows who killed Kurt. only douchebag followers will buy his Record company stooge book....... he is a Hollyweird typical lying leftist that makes his followers get fully jabbed before they can witness his godlessness
I wonder if Foo Fighters would be on Kurts spotify playlist
It would be on Kurts burner account Spotify playlist 🤣
And that's how Foo Fighters came about lol
Obviously Dave had a weird obsession with Kurt…that later got transferred onto Kurt’s daughter.
Wtf?????
Hey I’m late but wdym by that?
tells you how much you need Dave when Kurt starts playing and we don't know what song he's playing lol
you can tell krist was already missing kurt
I think some real shock would happen, because they are two creative people. Each in their own way, tried to occupy the space that was deserved to them.

you forgot “Heart Shaped Box live @ Cow Palace”. Kurt looks back & shakes his head/ frustrated cuz of the tempo
🤣😂...man what a great band 🥲
Don’t talk about musicianship and live performing Kurt was a genius but was sloppy guitar player. Who constantly changed tempos just look at how fast he played teen sprit at the paramount at 1991
@@kevenrowe2958 false
@@LilHondaCivic808 nah it’s facts I get it you obviously love Kurt Cobain I can tell by the way you attack people in the comments and I love him too I swear to god. But stop acting like he was perfect watch smells like teen sprit live at the paramount 91 he played very fast 😂😂😂 like he can do what he wants it’s his fucking song he wrote it Im just saying don’t act like what I’m saying is bullshit. But no disrespect to kurt the guy is a icon and he helps me a lot with my depression with his lyrics
@@kevenrowe2958 naw you have no subscribers that’s why you call it “attacking” when really it’s just calling the bitches out on their jealousy🤷🏽♂️

Dave Grohl did last with the Foo Fighters
There are some rumors that Kurt & Courtney were really mad at Dave around the time of their last European tour because Dave gave some interviews which they didn't like at all.
It's true. There was a Details article with quotes from Dave in it from fall 1993 where he's talking about Kurt and guns and heroin and it is not flattering at all. Kurt read it on a plane with Grohl sitting far away from him and he was seething with anger. But Kurt was totally non-confrontational so he never said anything to him about it directly.
@@juliaangelina1984 do you know where I can find it
Source Material???
@@juliaangelina1984 also he gave an interview I think somewhere around February of 1994 that originally they (Kurt) wanted a member of Mudhoney as a second guitar player but he refused, so they (Kurt) hired Pat Smear by the advice of Courtney
@@juliaangelina1984 I would like to know where to read it too.
Kurt Cobain always ❤️
♾🔥🎸♥️
I wonder what would've happened if Dave missed the cue the second time.. 1,2,3,4... Kurt would've smashed his guitar over Dave's fuckin head.
He announced in like 1993 he wanted to quit. Eeryone freaked out over the potential loss of so much $. So there was resentment. That and the demon heroin makes those who love you seem like annoying obstacles.
Am I sick to think that Dave is a killer?
Everyone is thinking it lately
Yes. You’re insane if you actually think Kurt didn’t kill himself.
Kurt’s always on his man period. 💀
He’s a Pisces
@@LilHondaCivic808 I know that and me too. 😂
