Crash, thank you so much for this guide playlist!! This has been a huge help in prepping for my first campaign! Would you ever consider doing an updated one for the new UI?
"spending money is the easiest way to make Roll20 good 'cause, that's life!" Hahahaha! That's awesome! Great video though! Thank you for taking the time to explain this stuff
OK, so first off, I've been loving your video series. Indispensable for flattening the learning curve for newbs like me. R20 should be paying you. I hope you take this next thing as a compliment: Your voice sounds a little like the guy on Casually Explained YT channel: ruclips.net/channel/UCr3cBLTYmIK9kY0F_OdFWFQ. You've been getting funnier as the videos have progressed. Kinda letting it all hang out there (maybe from some fatigue at the end of this video @17:13 -- "please, please, for the love of god browse the store and find a good set of markers!" LOL!!! Keep up the awesome work!
@@CrashGem I have been watching other videos covering Roll 20, but you are by far the most thorough and concise. You saved me so much time. The others just rush while you take your time and are clear in your explanations. First two weeks I spent about 3 to 4 hours on remaking tokens with light and such. Once I landed on your videos I cut the the time to half an hour to customize for my scenario. Thank you!
Token Markers, like any form of communication, work best when everyone is on the same page. But wow do they help out so much for tracking the craziness of combat.
For Temp Hit points, could you go into the token and change 9/9 to 13/9? BTW I love your tutorials and will be purchasing the upr tier membership and DM pack to start.
Temp HP does have the ability to get pretty high. we use the number keypress on the temp HP token marker to track at lower levels, and at higher levels, most people use the green circle to track them and the marker to show they have them. (we use red for HP instead of green). Glad to hear you are enjoying the tutorials. Also! We started using height tokens to track flight and swimming and digging and it has been amazing.
Question for you Crash Gem. How do I hide my monster rolls from the players? And thank you SO much for these videos- they have been an absolute lifesaver for me in starting my game today.
Under your game settings, from when you first set up you roll20 game, you will see an option called "Whisper rolls to GM" To change this setting on an individual monster you will find it under "NPC Options" by clicking the gear in the top right of the NPC sheet.

Bloody status was one of the best things to come out of 4E. So much so I ported it to my Pathfinder games. Thanks for the videos, they're a treasure.
You are welcome. I was a big fan of 4e, despite many of the flaws, I find myself going back to it for homebrew inspiration constantly.

Thanks! I definitely plan to keep releasing videos to help everyone transition to online play.
CrashGem You might not be the hero we want, but you’re the hero we need... or something. Looking forward to more vids!

these videos are so sick man.
As constructs these videos are actually immune to disease both mundane and magical.
Gerblins?! Are Taako, Magnus and Merle nearby??
There were a lot of great points there. I will steal all of this. Maybe if I use them as a player other people will start doing the same.

"In-app purchase called quarters"
I mean... calling a spade a spade.
@@CrashGem Truth. Not sure if I've met any app that could tear through savings as fast as the 4-player Gauntlet of old.
Aren't they called "Micro Transactions " Or "pay to win"
