    Dude... this is the channel I've been waiting for since I've started using Roll20. Please make all the videos. My only problem right now is that I've got my next game in less than 2 hours and don't have time to start doing these things right now. Take my sub, sir.

    Thank you please keep these videos coming. I've implemented at least half of your scripts so far.

    I believe you could also set up a generic token with the macro as a token action, and save your macro bar for something a bit more general.

      That's a great tip! Thanks for watching, and happy gaming!

    guessing roll20am changed a bit, i had to go with
    !roll20AM --audio,nomenu,play|rat
    !roll20AM --audio,nomenu,delay:2,stop|rat

    Hey Nick - handjamming the token IDs here seems needlessly laborious, and also doesn't make the macro generic. Is there a reason why you aren't running the macro on a group of selected tokens? That's what I do for Group-Init by itself. Works great.

    • @NickOlivo
      @NickOlivo  4 года назад +1

      Honestly, John, it didn't occur to me at the time. But yes, using the selected tokens makes way more sense.

      If you've got the time beforehand, you can set up a one click ambush, so you don't have to shift-click on the individual tokens during play. This also allows you to customize the sound too. You could have monster-specific growls or screams. But otherwise, having a generic ambush with selected tokens is good too.

    Quick question, I entered this in and have all the token ids entered and the ambush macro worked yesterday. However, it's not working now. Do you know why that may be?
    edit: nevermind, there was an issue with tokennamenumber. I had to delete the api and reinstall
    edit 2: how do you keep this up when you exit the game? I had it working, left the game, came back and it was all screwed up. Can you not save it?
    edit 3: I really need to stop asking questions. I just had to restart my API's. Hopefully my journey has helped others

    For some reason it will not start my playlist. Everything else works just fine though.

      Hmm. Try typing !roll20AM --config and then click the Import Tracks link in the menu that appears. Then try the macro again.

    Love your videos, but I just can't convince myself to spend another $50 (on top of my current subscription) just to get API mods when ultimately the only benefit is saving a few seconds. I wish you'd put an "API" in your video title if it requires API though, so I (and others without pro) can get value and know which videos won't apply to us.

    • @hawkname1234

      If you play a lot I'd highly recommend it. With APIs, you're game hits a whole different level. My game is faster, smoother, better since I began using the API scripts. By a LOT.

    Hi, i totally make the same as you but it seem like the --set layer|objects is not working :(

    • @NickOlivo
      @NickOlivo  4 года назад +1

      If the tokens aren't moving from one layer to another, you may want to double check the ids you're passing in and make sure they're the right ones.

      @@NickOlivo The initiative is working, so technically there is not suppose to be an ID error, right ?

      @@MrStotorm You're right, if the initiative is working then the set layer stuff should, too. Can you post your macro here and I'll take a look at it?

      @@MrStotorm Ok, I see a couple of things we can try. First, change !token-mid to !token-mod Also, make sure there are 2 dashes before ids, so !token-mod --ids instead of -ids. (The comments are formatting that with strikethrough and I can't tell for sure how many dashes are there right now.) Give those a shot and let me know how it goes.

  • @vampiregoat69

    I wish you could make it so you did not have to get the id for each one in order to do it.
