This looks like somewhere everybody wakes up alone in after they die. Like a lobby room before ascending into the void. Sit down at the bar and have a last drink while you reflect over your life. Then, head to the door, sigh, and walk out into the ethereal light, never to be seen again, submerged into an infinite expanse of souls forever gone
*As you wake up from a nightmare, you're sitting at a cushioned seat right beside the window. The fog that is covering the landscape in front of you, only limiting your vision. You can help, but ask yourself what happened and why there's not a single soul inside the cafe, aside from you. Wanting to get up and investigate, you remain contempt in your little seat with an empty table in front of you, no food or drink, just the condiments that are placed aside from you. Hours have passed, and you noticed that the sun hasn't moved, despite the fog covering the sun. Something felt off and not knowing what's going on. In the corner from your eye, you spotted a piece of paper that was crumbled up. You picked it up and unwrapped the paper to see what it was, an ominous letter that you can't help but be confused by it. "Welcome, we hope you enjoy your stay." Scratching your head on what it means, you have a sudden flash of your memory from your nightmare, but that nightmare was the moment of your death. You realized that you were killed by hanging in your own house, and now you understand why you're here. A purgatory to the lost souls that can't be decided from the gates of Heaven or Hell. You read the paper again, and on the corner of it, it labels out "Silent Hill Cafe." While there's a mix of feelings whether you should do something about it or let yourself brace the acceptance of being dead, you can't but help feel the comfort of being dead, you accepted and just watched the everlasting fog in front of you, sitting still for the rest of your time, not in purgatory, but in Silent Hill.*
I'm listening to this as I think about my friend and coworker who passed away a couple of days ago, this captures that weird feeling of loneliness that I have knowing that the world has one less person in it and I'm one of the few who got to know him. Rest in heaven, Mike. Till we meet again. I hope whoever reads this gives a hug and kind words to the people you love because anyone can be gone in an instant, like my friend who was here one day then gone the next, with no warning at all.
I love when artists know that SH inspired music should be atmospheric and mysterious, and not filled with goofy dance club drum beats. THIS is awesome.
All that remains of a time long gone. Whenever I watch videos where people leave so many things behind, I always wonder what went through their minds. Especially when it comes to things with sentimental value like photographs. Why leave it? Why take one thing and not the other? Why not take both, or just leave both behind?
Perhaps it's just me but this gives me nighttime ambience elder scrolls vibes. Nevertheless another lovely piece of music and very much appreciate your sharing. Thank you
This is not just any ordinary cafe. No, this is one of God's own cafes that you cannot find in the real world. You may see this world when your lifetime expires and you pass the threshold of Mortality, or you just really have an expansive and thoughtful imagination like me. It is just like Purgatory in a sense, but instead of just sitting there with absolutely no hope and waiting for your afterlife sentence, you're waiting for it while enjoying your favorite tasty beverages (whether that is a Hot Coffee or Caramel Macchiato like me, or maybe even just a beer or soft drink, or even Wine and Whiskey; They've got you covered). You can remain inside as long as you wish to. But remember, once you step out that front door, you cannot return to the cafe. There is a worker in there that keeps the Cafe up and running. I have seen him myself. He is a very gentle and well-mannered man who, unlike other people, actually has a personality. Whether you have done bad things in your life, he won't care. He'll still act just like a casual gentleman. What a chap. 🙂 Midwich Music, you've taken the music from a normally very dark and twisted franchise and converted it into something that means Creativity, Hope, Blessings, and everything in between. Music like this helps ring out creativity, especially when it has to do with different worlds. You have my eternal gratitude. ☑
Sounds like finding peace after tragedy and deciding to move on even fully grasping that things will never be the same again.
I feel like that cause I lost someone years ago. 😢
Well said. Isn't that the very definition of life? Its just what I'm experiencing ...that rise and fall.

I've seen this place many times in my dreams. :-)

Really captures the feeling of a ghost town lost of its former glory after a terrible tragedy.
Sounds like my heart

Your comment hit me right in the feels. All of us have to face death but let's make the best of the short life we have.
RIP Mike!😢

Never stop listening to this it’s in my morning first hour of work I listen to this and allows me to focus
a curious way to express that loneliness, that country where there is no soul, only tranquility, silence, nothing else
i live so. every day. every month..like ghost among living dead bodies...called "people"
Midwich Music = the GOAT of dark/serene ambient
Big words! Thank you so much 🖤
Always hold onto the people and places we love because the relentless march of time waits for nobody.

Very nice one. 💜 Is it inspired by the track "Life" from SH3? I really get that vibe from it.
Thank you! No, I just played some random melodies.
