Rodney needs to take objectives in order to win at this point. I think he is ahead points-wise if it comes to a tie so he needs to take out that last stormtrooper group and the speeder bikes. He should take ambush to prevent the stormtrooper or speeder bike from getting a better position. I think his first move should be to move the AT-RT around to attack the troopers with the rotary cannon. If he wipes the squad he will control that point. That would free up the left trooper squad to move onto the point and target the speeder bike. Luke should stay near to the middle objective to insure vader can't claim it. It will be difficult for vader to defeat Luke in one turn. Flipping the speeder for next turn would be a good setup. The last rebel trooper should move in on the right objective. If all goes to plan, Vader will be the only Imperial figure on the board and will be in a spot where massed fire can take him down.
I'm thinking to Wedge that Air Speeder to pivot towards Vader and fly around the rock for an attack, also using the back gun to fire upon the Speederbike (or Stormies). Luke could Jedi Mind trick the large group of Stormtroopers to suppress, then throw a saber at the Speederbike (if it isn't already destroyed) or Vader as a Plan B. Then the AT-RT can open fire on Vader as well. Put the suppression on that fellow. I don't know. Something like that?
I would use jedi mind trick to suppress the group of storm troopers behind the air speeder so they are pretty much out of commission hidden behind that cover. Then use your air speeder to finish off the speeder bike.
Is there a way to use the air speeder first since Pep seems to want to destroy that? I think he can play (Ambush or Push may do it) If so use that, use the Wedge Antilles card(Pivot) on the Air Speeder which I assume means turn around. Than move the default 1 and use both attacks and hit the storm troopers. Hopefully Rodney can channel Luke and roll lucky and remove both groups.
Hey Rodney. Talking about miniature games, what about an Gaslands episode? I think it would be great, considering its rattler inexpensive, and you may use any HotWheels or Matchbox miniatures to play.
Maybe moving the AT-RT so that it has line of sight on the speed bikes would be the best first move. If you can kill the speeder bike than that would remove the impact troop, so your speeder would be safer to turn and shoot at the troopers. Luke could hold down the victory point in the middle, maybe move close enough to save the panicking rebels and throw his sword at Vader? After that your two rebels could shoot Vader I don't think Mat could move him out of the line of fire. So Maybe a push and activate the AT-RT first and then Luke to make sure a bad roll doesn't eliminate one of your units, provided you can stay in range if not maybe you want to move the other rebel troop in the middle while Luke goes further out.
Elkator955 aye that’s a good play. Getting that VP should be the primary goal in the final turn then it would come down to points of destroyed units. Given the current state of play I don’t think a win by complete army destruction is possible in one turn.
13:35 you realize Luke would have just sensed the Lightsaber being thrown and blocked it with his own when he felt it coming? No "the lightsaber just happened to be in the right spot even though he wasn't looking" was necessary XD
I'm sure it's not in the rules, but when big units like AT-ST or air speeder are destroyed/taken down, they shouldn't be removed from the board. They should become obstacles or used as new cover. It just makes sense.
Overall aim: take control of as many objective tokens. Use _Return of the Jedi_ to order Luke (receiving dodge token), the AT-RT and the T47 Airspeeder. For your first activation, move the Airspeeder its compulsory move along the side of the terrain. If you are still in front of the Storm Trooper, fire your front weapon on it and your rear weapon on the speeder, else use your rear weapon on the Storm Trooper. Next, activate your AT-RT to attack (hopefully) the only remaining Storm Trooper unit. Depending on what Vader does, you may move Luke a little bit away from Vader, but still in range of the objective, or run towards your Rebel Trooper unit - encouraging them not to leave the battle ground (may be more thematic for rebels :)). By this time you will have to decide what to do with the Rebel Trooper units - fire on Vader or the Speeder if it still exists. If all goes well, you should hold at least one objective token by the end of the round and a possible two more by the end of the next.
First, play the Return of the Jedi, probably the best card to play at this point, issuing orders to the AT-RT, Luke Skywalker and the 'trooper group'. First, prepare for, depending on what Pep activates, a Force Choke from Darth Vader, or bye-bye Airspeeder from the Speeder Bikes. Now have Luke do a Charge, but before that, use the Jedi Mind Trick on either trooper near the rock formation. Ensure you have line of sight to a Speeder Bike and use the DL-44 Pistol on either the Speeder bikes or on Vader himself. Assuming the Airspeeder is still in the battlefield, attack the Speeder Bikes. Otherwise, its Darth
It's been awhile, but my shooting schedule doesn't often allow me to stick with any one system on a repeated basis, so my gaming habits shouldn't be used as a measure of how much I'd "like" to be able to play a game.
The only action you can perform more than once during a turn is movement. So if an ability grants you an extra attack action, it means that you can't perform another action action during the same activation.
I wanted to add a correction to the end of the video. I'd rather pull a video down quickly after a mistake is caught, so that the majority of the viewers will see the correct information.
Fighter plane goes first. It fires upon the speeder bike and Vader after it moves. Luke duels Vader to keep him from destroying your rebel troops. ATRT is used to clean up the remaining Stormtroopers or fire on vader. And Rebel troopers are used to blast away at Darth Vader, which is the last tank unit from the dark side at this point.
And as always the empire loses, rofl. God why do i always spend money on the bad side in these board games? Empire in Armada and Xwing, Germans in Flames of War and America in Team Yankee... I blame the manufacturers for making them cooler :). Great vid by the way will explore the rest of your channel.
@@WatchItPlayed haha, nah I'm about as bad as Admiral Ozzel. Keep it up guys, you have good energy and chemistry on screen. Makes it entertaining beyond the content alone.
Vader is coming for Luke, and probably not much you can do about it. Could try Ambush to try for priority, but quite certain Vader is going for Implacable. So I would recommend Return of the Jedi, get your dodge token on Luke and withstand Vader's assault, and get the Airspeeder out of there on your first activation.
Yay my comment was picked! and great rolling Rodney!
Thanks for the good tips!
Exploding Penguin are you on the Fantasy Flight Boards?
Imperial Advisor Arem Heshvaun i am not, why?
You guys are making this game so much easier to understand. Thanks for the videos!
You're vert welcome! Glad to know it's helping.
What a great series, I’m really enjoying the play through, thanks for the content!
Thanks Joe!

Great videos. So informative and well done. Thanks
Thank you kindly Tom!
exploding penguin made the at-st explode
14:40 How could Pep miss "Han Solo is Han Nomo"?
Exploding Penguin is MVP ! FOR THE WRONG TEAM!
I disagree :)
The Chemistry btw you two is great! Thanks for doing these!
Thanks Paul - so glad you enjoyed :)

Pep doing Luke’s “thumbs up/typing suggestions” pantomime got me to laugh.
It's a carried on tradition!

Nice when the at st exploded the driver was probably like “son of a “ and then Luke said “of sky walker”

He's got a lot going on over there to manage!
With the Force on his side, he can manage it.

That's not one of the rules, but certainly one players could agree to unofficially use if they wanted to. We talked about that too when we played.
When you activated the speeder at 21:00, could you have aimed for first action to reroll the buzzer, then second action attack?
You know... I think we actually forgot to perform it's second action - so yes!

Samin Raiyan I like this opinion, but make sure Luke is within range 3 of the 'trooper group'.
I agree.
Will you guys going to paint the miniatures?
Perhaps in the future. I do enjoy painting miniatures, but I don't always find it easy to make that a priority.
very good video, very good friends, I learned a lot of the game and its awesome

I just have to ask, when Game Play 4 is comeing out?
Just as soon as we have it ready :)
Where are those triangular bunker pieces from?
Gamemat.eu - you'll find a link in the description of the video if you'd like to check them out.
Take a card and have Luke and AT RT and or airspeeder attack Vader. If u take out Vader u win.

Get that AT-RT to attack Vader with its Rotary Gun, its the only way ahaha

I would say Ambush and put it on Luke and get that speeder bike out of the game.
