Great video! Really fun to watch you play and I needed this, gonna play it with my family this holiday so needed this because explaining board games isn’t what I’m best at doing.
Awww I was enjoying that way more that I thought I would. Definitely looks more fun playing then just hearing about it. Now I can’t wait till next episode
@@WatchItPlayed Thanks for the tutorial, we used it when playing the game for the first time! Matter of fact, shouldn't take too much arm twisting to get my buddy to play it again for game day on Saturday.
So it took me half the video to figure out how you guys played the game and then filmed it split-screen, keeping Rodney’s and Pep’s board and mug on the proper side of the screen. 🤪
Yikes! I goofed there - thankfully it didn't affect any of the choices after that (I didn't get any extra gems, or buy anything I couldn't have afforded if I had been one space back).
This is one of those games whereby you have to buy some upgraded components, namely the chips. The tactile feel of the BGG chips and the ASMR of them clanking around in the bag makes this game for me.
I like how you matched shirts (and pieces) with your old polos for this one, with Rodney in and playing blue and Pep in and playing red. Will that continue into future plays?
I thought u cant use the saving option after u busted ? U have to choose to remove the white cherry bombs before u busted At least that's how we played it. Good to see the playthroughs again. :)
You can't use the potion to put a cherry bomb back in the bag, if that bomb would have busted you - did someone do that in the video? If you can share a time-stamp, I'll check.
@@WatchItPlayed Around the 630 mark, not sure if pep had 7 , but u said u just had 7 cherry bombs which meant u should have already busted (I think its 7 or above ), which meant u cant drink the potion and u would have busted. Dont know if that will change the game overall, but would have save u some gems to use to get back the potion.
During setup you give one ruby to each player. I can’t find that in the rulebook. I have the version published in Europe by Schmidt. Does it say that in the rules in the North American version?
Watch It Played Thank you for responding and for clarifying. My rulebook is also in english. I will start handing out those rubies then :) I want to also thank you for all your great videos. I have lost track of how many games you have taught me and also for all the play throughs I enjoy watching you guys play. It’s a nice substitute for when my family is not in a game mood (which is often). So a big thank you from this norwegian gamer.

That is the power of the crow (blue) chip. You can take tokens out of the bag (the same amount as the number on the chip) and decide if you want to put one in your potion or not. Since Pat got a 3 cherrybomb, he decided to put it back in the bag.
Hey William, that's not something I can say for you. Everyone has different taste, but hopefully the video can give you a sense of whether or not you'd enjoy it.
Fantastic episode! I was really hoping this would be a series when I watched the tutorial! Great job, you guys!
Glad you enjoyed!

Hell yeah! Finally some good old gameplay.

It'll drop next week - see you then!
"My potion is made of tears"
Since playing this game for the first time about 3 weeks ago, I've been so addicted to it!
Glad to hear you're digging the game!
@@WatchItPlayed Thanks for the tutorial, we used it when playing the game for the first time! Matter of fact, shouldn't take too much arm twisting to get my buddy to play it again for game day on Saturday.
I wasn't really sure about this game in the tutorial. But I think it looks pretty fun, actually!!!
only saw the cover photo for this vid and thought "wow his son looks so much older" lol
Missed watching you guys play games! Thanks for the upload!
Thanks for joining us!
Great vid. One note, you don't calculate your rat tails until after the card draw and resolution as that may change the victory point track.

At 12:19 why does the Spider go there? Rodney isn't cheating is he?! :D
Yikes! I goofed there - thankfully it didn't affect any of the choices after that (I didn't get any extra gems, or buy anything I couldn't have afforded if I had been one space back).
I'll have to keep my eye on you from now on ;)
"potionseller, im going into battle and I require your strongest potion"
Excellent and fun as always! Thank you, Rodney!
YAY!! So happy to see this! I missed it live😁
We got you!
When I was in science class, I burnt through the Bunsen tube and created a fireball on the table.
You may want to avoid this game!
Have yall played cubitos? It has similar mechanics at this and think you'll like it
I have - thanks for the recommendation!

They are certainly a nice addition!
Minor point, but at this time the Quacks of Quedlinburg playlist doesn't have the second gameplay video, only the How to Play video and this.
Will fix - thanks!
I like how you matched shirts (and pieces) with your old polos for this one, with Rodney in and playing blue and Pep in and playing red. Will that continue into future plays?
I'll personally wear red and use red pieces any time that I have the opportunity!

You only bust if you go over 7. If you have 7, you're still fine.
@@WatchItPlayed wow thanks Rodney!
We played it totally wrong Haha ;)
Why did you start with a ruby in your bag?
Hi Benjamin, you'll find the tutorial video for how to play here: ruclips.net/video/hcvK6ExuISM/видео.html
thanks for gameplay
You’re very welcome!
What are the bags made of? Are they cotton or something similar? Or do they have a velvet feel?
I'm not sure. Not velvet, but not cotton either, at least not pure cotton. A synthetic or blend perhaps?
@@WatchItPlayed As long as they're not velvet I'm happy. Velvet just makes my skin crawl
@@benstylus I would drape myself in velvet if it were socially acceptable.

It doesn't say it in the English rule book either - but it's suppose to. The rule book is in error.

What happened to Pet is he no longer in Watch it Played?
That's right - we had an announcement video for it (I think maybe it was 2 or 3 years ago now).
14:38 I didn't understand why he drew one token and didn't put it on the potion :/ is that cheating? (i'm not talking of Rodney :P)

@@Djaian2 okay! Got it! Thank you! 😉
Thanks to
Djaian2 for the assist!
What happened with the audio quality? Is it not off the lapel mics?
That's a great question - we're not really sure! Something that came up in our play through of The Mind as well (releasing later).
Thanks!
I'm surprised that you Rodney is getting a yellow chip yet. It would help against cherry bombs.
Stick around for Part 2!
I called them strawberries too.
Shoulda drank the potion near the end so you didnt bust
Whoops!
Rodney and Pet ma boiiiis !
Didn't your pot exploded Rodney on your second round?
Then you couldn't use your potion flask.
When you got 7 blossom points didn't your pot exploded?
Your pot only explodes if you go over 7.
Is this game fun?
