I actually bought the game last year in Quedlinburg to proof my girlfriend I dont just by Games that are covered by SU&SD and here we are.

Did you buy wingspan? I've noticed they've not covered wingspan...
@@AyyyyyyyyyLmao if only you'd have waited a bit longer hahah

@Dante Junior doubtful
Blew the entire year's coloured powder budget on this episode, I see.
Billy Matrix is my second favorite movie character behind Johnny Starwars. He was just so cool swinging that Laser knife at Daddy Hard Hat.
I have had "When you live in bubble land! Everybody wants to shake your hand!" stuck in my head for two days.
From DiceTower News regarding the expansion:
Kräuterhexen adds a much requested fifth player to the game, as well as higher value pumpkins, new ingredients such as the variable value “fool’s herb”, and the ability to request help from the witches. Players are given 3 Witch’s Pennies, which are worth points at the end of the game, but can be spent to get special powers, such as the ability to drink a potion after blowing up the cauldron, or reducing the drop advance price to a single ruby.
Missed opportunity to get the name wrong with Quacks of Quintonsmith.
The Wii e-shop music is a nice touch. especially since this video was dropped on the same day that the wii e-shop has been shut down... Nice.
Goodnight sweet prince
My three year old daughter was very concerned that you've made a giant mess and your mummies would have to clean it up!

Hey don't talk to Mel like that
Excellent as always and a pleasure to watch :) Thanks! But do I recall correctly that most (all) recent reviews were of lighter/more accessible/family type games ? Maybe it's time for some heavier stuff to really sink your teeth into, hmmmm :3 ?
Btw, are you planning to review Monsterpocalypse, maybe? As a Warmachine fan I'm looking at it with interest, but for some reason it doesn't get much attention from mainstream reviewers online. Even Dice Tower doesn't have a review of MonPoc, even though the game is made in the US.
I think Marv has a good point here.
Wow now I can't remember Mark's real name.
you mean Mike?
Let's just call him Billy Matrix, dodger of bullets.

@@MattLees Wait a minute, you comment under this account but no videos!? I miss this side of you guys!
They are working on it - Matt explained it a bit in the latest episode of Daft Souls (a videogame podcast Matt makes with Keza Macdonald and Chris Bratt; it's really rather good, you should check it out) @@Captain_Mzungu
It's stuff like this that makes you guys the most entertaining reviews in media.
"When you're in bubble land, everyone wants to shake your hand." -Bubble Land Blues
I'm with Mark and Mitch on this one. It is rapidly becoming one of my favorite games. Quick, accessible, colorful, engaging, funny and variable. The expansion is a must-buy, AFAIC. It's just straight-up delightful. I've only had it a few weeks and I've already played it four times (and am eager to play it more). Plays just as well with 2 as it does with 4.
Spectacular review ❤ i enjoyed it so much! love the goofyness, jokes and it is expertly written and delivered. Love you guys! Of to a shop to buy it…
SUSD now owe me one new keyboard as I spat tea over mine due to the Bubble-Land song.
It got me GOOD
I couldn't believe they made it up, incredible. A+++
One of the best sight gags so far.
Still the gold standard of reviews. More. MORE!!
I can't be alone in wanting to see a behind-the-scenes slash bloopers reel of the making of your reviews
omg...yes!
This IS the blooper reel
Here for the Wii Shop Channel music, and the straight up truth about the British dining experience
I was listening to NPR in the car this morning (U.S. public radio) and they used the Wii Shop music as a bump behind some random station ID message, then I heard it again when I watched this video after work. Glad to remember why that tune is so nostalgic.
I witnessed this once when I vacationed in the UK a couple years ago. Took me by surprise.
"scrawny beanpoles sweating under a bench-press" I feel attacked
Really well done! You guys should start a whole channel or something and do more game reviews! Keep it up!
If they do start a channel or something do you think they should review Settlers of Catan next time?
@@timothyreed648 Don't you think that game is a little too new for them to review it? Not everyone will have a chance to play it, unfortunately.
The commitment in this video from Matt and the paint bomb takes this to another level!
I need to hear more from Wizarding Harry, that kid is going places.
(my son and I can't stop impersonating him at each other, it's the only fun left to us until Quedlinburg is back in stock so we can buy it).
Those reviews are pure art. Was smiling the whole time...:) Good job!
Wow. Guys you did a great job on this one. So many gags and great lines. Fantastic production. 😃👍👍
The best part about the game is how well it balances out different levels of play and attitudes. Keeping most of the strategy in the planning steps and letting the get-points part be where much of the randomness is means once you get the very simple rules there's not the usual execution tax of avoiding screwing up complex rules, there's just whether or not you push your luck once you're one bad draw from exploding. People from barely-plays-games to TI4-is-too-light and seriousness from class-clown to tryhard can all play the same game, and even if the latter usually win, the former are entirely capable of pulling one off.
Well said! That's one of the biggest reasons why we like it so much and still recommend it so often.
PSA: pulling simultaneously and possibly revealing an empty hand is only done on the final round of the game. Earlier rounds are unsynchronized simultaneity, with players drawing, placing and stopping at their own pace.
The rules state you can pull and reveal simultaneously throughout the game if you wish.
Pull and reveal simultaneously is the better way to play in my opinion.
As a person named Mike that people often call Matt, Quinns calling Matt Mark cut into my soul
His name is actually Mitch, though...
Yep, lived that in high school. Thanks everyone (including his mum and mine).
Try being called Mark and always being called Matt. I am in this video and I don't like it.
Appreciate the love and hard work you put into each video. Always fun, always informative. A brilliant public service guys. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
I didn’t know about that cheering thing, that’s wholesome af
I really hope that Harry makes future appearances! What a clever and original character!

My friend brought this over and whith 3kids running around I was was like.
"dude this is far to complicated to play at the same time as intermitant midgit wrangerling".
But after turn two even my then 7year old had picked up the game. It was ace and the "oh I get it" factor kicks in pritty quik considering the style of game. 👍From me.
Thanks for another great review. I've just bought a copy to be my first game once social distancing allows us to have visitors again.
Dammit, don't you guys know that I'm broke and can't justify the purchase of more board games right now!?
I really hope there was a long bus ride involved after filming the powder paint stuff... and I hope it was explained, "I just blue myself with my friend."
I got to try this one for the first time last night and I LOVED IT!! I also did terrible !! Or I thought I did. Later I found out, that I started with an extra 1 and 2 cherry bombs in my bag... I was always wondering why I consistently did worse haha! Plus I was always making decisions based on completely incorrect improbabilities. Even with that terrible handicap, I had an absolute blast. Great game.
This review convinced me to buy this game I just now heard about in your review of Taverns of Tiefenthal.
Can’t wait to play it!
Love the reviews and other programming! Please let Deano know if he's in Victoria, BC there's always a place at our table for him! I would love love love to see a Wingspan Review, fingers crossed!
This review quacked me up.
Loved playing Quacks after getting it for Christmas so this was rather validating.
“A fiat punto” lmao
I would like to hear the full version of the bubbleland song
Please inform your followers when you release the Bubbleland LP. Thank you.
2:54 I want to go to Bubbleland so everyone will want to shake my hand.
Matt has a bluethooth at the end, wonder if I can connect to it with my phone
That Fiat Punto joke got me good
A game about wild recipes that can blow up has to push all of Matt's buttons, thanks for another great vid!
I played QoQ two times now and both times I did not enjoy the experience. Either everything goes perfect the entire game and you don't explode once, or you explode once and either your engine suffers or your points.
I hate games that can be entirely lost by just bad draws, and when you get 6 rat points in a round because you are so far behind, but also the first 4 draws contain 3 cherrybombs, you are just in despair valley. There is nothing you can do, meanwhile the leader goes two times around the swirl.
This happend in BOTH games.
Same with the bonus die. Last game i played, the point-leader (wo didn't blow his cauldron once but also achieved to draw roughly 70% of his ingredient bag every round) rolled a drop advance every other round. Meanwhile I rolled it once and other wise maybe a point or a ruby. That drop advance is by far the best result on that die, and you can just get bad luck and march right back into despair valley.
It is very entertaining if everything is relatively even between the players. But both games I have seen a run away leader.
In the end, it just made me feel bad and I did not have fun, I'd say of the 6 people I played with, 3 to 4 shared my feelings. So glad I did not buy this.
Potion seller, I am going into battle and I need only your strongest potions.
I wish I had gaming buddies like you guys. Where did all my old gaming buddies go from 20 years ago?
Absolutely amazing review. Great game and had a laugh watching this.
This is the best-written review of... well, anything.
i really want a FULL VERSION OF THE BUBBLE LAND SONG !!!
RIP shopping channel
Great little reference to say goodbye.
6:00 I've lived here all my life and still don't quite understand why we do that 😂
Funny seeing them in 21 then looking back to see these guys back in 19.
Is the sound FX on 3:15 the sound from the «The Search For Planet X» app when one of your theories are proven correct?
Quack of Quedlinburg - welcome to my buying list for Essen 2019 ... thank you SU&SD for recommendation :)
I couldn't for the life of me remember how I got the completely mad lyrics: "when you are in bubble-land, everybody wants to shake your hand" stuck in my head.
And here we are.
You guys cracked me up! Lol! Very fun review of a game I now would like to get. Cheers.
Damn you SU&SD!! I just finished buying Treasue Island!!!!!!!!
Who's Mitch?
I was more confused about "Bill in Matrix" ...
Ah, but that’s because we’re used to say William.
Seems like a fun Halloween game (even though it's not a Halloween game).
Recently I do not have much friends... to play with... but also not much friends at all :/ so I really enjoy your videos and dream about trying all this games after I finally receive a modern equivalent of bubbling potion to hang on the wall.
If y'all review Holi upon its release, the use of gulal (coloured powder) can be turned up to eleven.
I feel like Quacks could have easily been a game about making chili. "Oh no I put too much hot pepper in!" Boom. Chili ruined.
I feel like it could have easily been about cthuhu or star wars and im disappointed its not
This review was everything I'd hoped and more
Bought it for secret santa for one of my friends and we've played 3 rounds: It was quite a great experience! Can really recommend it!
Just bought this 2 days ago! To the table!!!
In Britain it is appropriate to cheer when someone drops a glass, it is not appropriate to cheer when someone gets glassed.
Suscribed! You guys crack me up lol. Excellent review, as usual.
Baron von Bubbles - sold me right there. say no more. Well done :D
Kind of older now but I've played this a handful of times and a couple of the times I've found one player has been behind in the score and even with the rat tail bonus it's meant that they are super behind and when there's stll 2-3 rounds to go they felt like there wasn't much point to continue playing as they had NO chance whatsoever to catch up. So it seems like an unlucky 2 round streak can just severely inhibit the entire rest of the game. Albeit the earlier rounds scores get so completely outmatched in the later rounds too there's almost no reason to take the points, but then gambling wrong can just lead back to what I was writing about before. So it's soured how I feel on the game overall.
OH boy my favorite board gamey boys put out a review for a board game, I sure would love to get that game now that I have some money, I'm sure it won't be super out of stock or anything.
*one google search later*
oh ...
I'm still a bit unclear where the player interaction comes from in the game. Can someone clarify?
You see its this concept from old times where you interact with people, but like directly. The game sometimes has you looking AT a person and SPEAKING WORDS. Fucking insane! Very bold of a game to encourage such a thing.
I thought comedic explosions were banned in the UK after Monty Python's Flying Circus ended.
Great fun review! Many thanks!
Brilliant game! One of my favourites now. Using klinky coin capsules for the chits makes it sooo much more satisfying as well :D
What are these?
@@graysav They're coin capsule holders 21mm. I got them on Amazon and they fit the little chits perfectly. They'll last forever now :)
Awesome review (as allways) and spectacular explosions :)

I just looked up the price.

It's $70.

I was so excited, but now...less so.
I had a great laugh...well done as always!
Liebe Hexenmeister, Thanks for an entertaining review that was better than the competition. Magic Wunderbar!
Thumbs up in the bath gif please... pretty please?... the internet needs this.
-Wow. I totally thought this game was about ducks.
-I love when Brits say "explEEtives." It makes me imaging angry Englishmen going around making bleating sheep noises, which is absolutely precious.
-Even though you said the name of the expansion in English, I am going to go ahead and assume that the German translates to "Six-Sided-Sausages."
HaHa. When the video first started, I thought that was a giant bong on the table. I'm like, no wonder why they're so funny!
When is Bubble Land going on Spotify?
2:54 Mike, from Suits :D
I think the randomness can make it quite frustrating. It just feels like pure luck and not that anyone can somehow get better at it. Dunno, I like a good gamble, but that one doesn't seem to be my kind of gamble.
I would never play this game. The bag is completely random and you even roll a dice for a reward, more randomness. Glad I passed, despite the hype.
It really is a great game. I've played with lots of different players and everyone loved it. The one issue I have with it is that it seems really difficult to catch up. The tails don't really make up for a 5-6 points difference.
I’m sold. My family would love this game!
Blimey. How much did you have to pay Eddie Redmayne to reprise his role as wizarding Harry at the end there? I thought he hated boardgames.
This looks really interesting! Might save some money for this
Love watching your reviews guys but I have an important question.... Is it ever sunny over there? Ever?
Peter R. It was sunny once. Think it was 1992. I remember I found the faint sky warmth pleasingly agreeable for half an hour, then burnt and had to return inside. Good times
clicked on the notification so fast the board game police pulled me over
I can't believe this was four years ago...
Jealous of those potion bottles
Another SUPERB video!
Between Quacks and Sushi Go Party which one would you suggest as our next family game?
Thanks guys!
Sushi Go is a bit simpler and definitely shorter, but Quacks is more fun. I own both.
You explain it very well. Nice 👍
"Bubble Land" is now my favorite song of all time...
Why do you have those bottles?
Quarks of Quislington looks like a fab time!
