I make something similar that is a family favorite - BBQ Bites - Brown the ground beef (I add onions and peppers), drain it, add BBQ sauce and let it simmer. Same thing as you did with the biscuits and cheese. So good - and great leftovers! Try it with the crescent roll dough - cutting out circles. Another level of goodness!
I used to make these the same way you did. My kids loved them!

Someone suggested using tortillas. We have a store that has the mini tortillas (like street tacos) and they would fit perfectly in the muffin tins! You could even put another mini tortilla on top of the meat!

YUMMY! I can't eat canned biscuits due to a gluten issue; an option could be using tortilla bowls/scoops. Won't be fluffy, but still bea quick & easy app

My mom does this but with tortillas so it's like a tiny taco salad because it leaves a little divet where you can shove things like lettuce and sour cream

@@jessicaodonohue it really is good, I highly recommend if you ever want to switch it up. Might even be a better choice for parties and stuff since tortillas can be cheaper than biscuits.
