What a splendid interview. Informative. Entertaining. Warm. Funny. You really get to see who Phil Collins is. You can feel his humanity.
(why are the airing date and presenter not filled in on the 'Contents' - shameful, really)

I was not an office worker. But I did have my own office. I absolutely loved my talk show host job on VH1. Phil Collins is still one of my favorite guests from the show's entire run. A true gent on camera and off camera.

@@BobbyRiversTV Unbelievable to see you reply to this Bobby & of course my comment was without malice.
As an everyday Joe I obviously would never have an opportunity to meet & talk with any celebrities so it's people like you that allow us into the lives of this entertainers.
As a big admirer of Phil Collins I have often dissapeard into a youtube vortex watching a plethora of his interviews & it sounds sycophantic but your interview or more aptly conversation is as good as it gets.

I agree, you have a fabulous and disarming interview style🙂...I was 14 yrsold back here in the UK at the time you interviewed him. Shortly after in March 89 I wrote to him to ask if I could spend my school work experience week with him in the Genesis studio where he was recording the solo album he mentioned here. I expected to hear nothing back but about two weeks later I received a hand written note apologising that he was so busy especially as his daughter Lily had just been born, but wished me luck in my exams...I was over the moon! 😎

I like that the interviewer was knowledgeable about the subject of the film and the era, as well as Phil's music and work.

Such a legend Phil Collins is. A man who had it all in talent, singing, drumming, when it came to music, acting and much more. Not only is Phil Collins talented in signing, playing the drums, music, and of course one of the greatest singers of all time with his tracks, he also has many other talents we've seen along the years, that of course being his appearance in cinema and in shows. A man who could both sing, as well as act, which many singers and musicians cannot do, and can only dream of. Most of the time, they need their musical talent to help them, but this film proves otherwise, Phil in his prime was truly legendary & amazing. Such an underrated film as well, filled with emotion, heartfelt moments, intensity throughout the whole movie's (storyline) alongside the cast which was just perfect. A film that literally made my birthday even more great, as every year my twin brother E.D as every year he does, always chooses the movie we watch on our birthday on April 19, and this is by far one of the greatest picks in terms of underrated films, especially from Phil, who we're a big fan of. A movie with such a perfect selection of a cast, with two iconic soundtracks, Two Hearts & a Groovy Kind of Love, that both are my favorites, and both being masterpieces. Two soundtracks, that literally originated from this film, which just shows how underrated yet amazing this film is as it was literally dedicated to the film, so amazing hearing it, especailly the instrumental part of it throughout bits of the film. One of my favorite tracks, that I listen to from Phil, and now one of my favorite films of all time, truly underrated. One of the greatest tracks and singer of all time, with a track, as well as film that started off off my birthday this week on Wednesday #April19 alongside my twin brother. Such a masterpiece. Such a perfect track, cast, movie, storyline, thats better listened than explained. A track, and film with lots of meaning, filled with emotion and feelings that literally surround you, both lyrically and instrumental, where no matter what you can't stop listening to it or wondering what happens next. A man who made and has so many legendary music/songs that relate to me, inspire me, motivate me even to this day and was literally my childhood. Especially in making days and memories memorable. Thank you so much for everything Phil especially for what you did for all of us along these years and with what you still countinue to do for all of us even today. Truly iconic and legendary you are. A singer and musician, with a talent to act as well, with such a huge legacy that will be remembered to generation to generation, inspiring millions, and relating to millions with his songs. Songs that are unmatched for all that he has done in the world along with many other featured legendary artists that he's collaborated with alongside his acting career, in both this film, shows, and many others. One of the greatest singers, and musicians of all time. So many legendary, iconic, relatable soundtracks that literally relates to us from our past alongside present, made our childhood and much more. Music with emotion and feelings, not just words. Music like no other, music so unique, its better felt than explained or expressed with so much endless things to say. And now its my birthday this week on Wednesday #April19. Same with my twin brother @E.D who is your biggest fan, who not only introduced me to Phil Collins, but his many films that he starred in, as well as shows that he's starred in. #April19 #Birthday 💙🥳🎉🎊🎂🥂

Little did he know he would not only 'get a second crack at it' but win it all (Oscar)! Phil's humanity and humility look very good on him. A quick, sharp mind (as all were with Genesis).

That's fantastic. I wonder if because Stevie Winwood and Eric Clapton were mentioned sparked Phils imagination and he thought "I'll have them in the studio in February"
