A great tune......co-written by Lamont Dozier of the Four Tops. One of the best by Phil Collins. He did so well in this movie with the lovely Julie Walters.

Dave Stratton love the way that the bridge is repeated twice in this film version.

curiously enough, the timing *sort of* works here.... if the character served some measure of time, and then several years passed as he set up the flower cart "shop" and stuff, then it would have worked out to almost 1994.... and he "breaks the fourth wall" here by addressing us, the audience... so, theoretically speaking, what if by breaking the 4th wall he's actually dead?

This upload is back to front, look at the captions… He really did have a flower stall but it wasn't on the riverside but on the Waterloo Road outside Waterloo station, under a railway bridge. About 500 yard away, maybe more. His plot had to be extinguished as part rebuilding this part of the station for the Jubilee line Extension.

That awkward kiss was unnecessarily long, hideous and cringey.

Terrible movie. You want the real McCoy check out Stanley Bakers “Robbery “ from 1967. Much more accurate and no soft edge too the robbers either.
