Kristy!! You are always asking for feedback and here is mine, I LOVE LOVE LOVE this video and am dying for you to create more videos exactly like this one! Your teaching style is exactly perfect for a beginner like me, and I’m not sure how many other so-called “tutorials” you browse on RUclips but I’m here to tell you that more often than not, all you will find is the artist using the video to showcase his or her own talent in a hyper speed “short” video, or broken down in a way that shows the sketch or painting already completed and the artist mentioning a slight blurb as to how they got there….alot of them end up being what seem to be “teasers” for what you CAN learn to do IF YOU PURCHASE THIER BOOKS! those are NOT tutorials and it’s super frustrating as a beginner to spend SO much time watching video after video and feeling as though I am learning NOTHING! So thank you for breaking the steps down how you do, and especially in this video, how you go back a few times and break down the steps even further… your videos are what tutorials SHOULD look like, and I will be referring my other artist friends to YOUR platforms! ❤️

I always thought you had to have talent to draw..ALWAYS! About 6 years ago i realized that i had been misinformed from kindergarten!! Now one in my education had ever taught us how to use or find creativity. We had art...but everyone knows elementary art class is a joke. I TAUGHT MYSELF WITH RUclips AND IVE NEVER BEEN MORE FULFILLED!! please listen to kristy...shes a brilliant And loose teacher that knows how to have fun!

My kids always assumed I could draw. I assumed I could not and had no idea why they assumed I could. They were correct. Lol.
My youngest demanded I draw and paint a dinosaur on her high top purple Converse.
It turned out she was correct.
It turned out great! I was shocked. She said “you’re weird Mommy. I don’t why you say that.”
She’s 28 now. She still thinks I can draw. I still question it.

Wow! You were right, Kristy! It was indeed the most important video I have watched in a long time! I love color, and I love flowers and art. But I am just beyond awful. So I collect paint and brushes and paper, but put off using them, because I fear another dismal art session. I have never thought of it as just play time with no outcome. That is a great attitude to take on!

Love you, your channel, and your videos. You give art its personality. I am sorry. I have no idea what you mean by "making comic smiles", but you Peony/Rose looks so amazing. Please give another way of expressing the shape. So, so beautiful. Jazza often talks about line weight, but does not explain when, where, or why to use line weight. However, as I just mentioned, you give everything from watercolours to lines personalities. I absolutely love it because I never saw this no matter who else told me. I only am starting to see it with you.
    Thank you ❤.

Your instruction style is exactly what I have been hoping to find, whether I initially knew it or not. You make the process so easy to understand that it actually feels achievable - even for a newbie like me. Hopefully you'll get a kick out of the fact that I couldn't help but think of the "Feed me, Seymour" scene in "Little Shop of Horrors" when you put the cracks in the flower buds.
