Muhammad Ali put his life on the line for the sport and for his people. He even sacrificed his prime for injustice and then came back after it to prove he's still the GOAT, and he succeeded. He's an icon 🐐.

Right. Muhammad Ali is the best boxer ever, not Mayweather. Castillo and Maidaina beat Floyd in the first bouts. Floyd couldn’t even beat old Oscar De La Hoya. Ali beat monsters like Sonny Liston, Joe Frazier and George Foreman without being in his prime... We never saw a prime Muhammad Ali as he lost his 3.5 best years when he was stripped of his title. Convicted murderers were allowed to work but Ali wasn't. Ali regained his title by beating big George Foreman and it took SEVEN years to regain his Championship belt that was taken from him. Ali gave up the greatest sports title in the world and millons of dollars to stand up for what he believed in. At that time, he was just coming into his prime. When Ali came back, his legs were gone and his hands were slower. Every boxing pro knew it and that is why Ali had to come up with the rope a dope.
In his prime Ali was unbeatable because no one could catch him. Watch Ali vs Brian London. It was a 3 round fight and Ali threw 12 punches in 3.5 seconds. By the way, 2 hours after this fight was over, everyone with Ali was celebrating while Ali was showing a poor African child magic tricks. Ali was the best athlete inside the ring but he was a great human being outside the ring too. That is why he is the greatest athlete of all time.

Pelé has to be in the top 5. Cristiano Ronaldo needs to be in it too. He’s the best athlete today. 5 Champions League titles and most CL goals. He also won with 4 clubs and with his country. He’s the only player in history to win it all with 2 different clubs. Ronaldo has the best goal ratio in Serie A and La Liga history. He’s going to break the record of most International goals too. He can assist, score goals and create chances but he’s also a leader and a consistent athlete that has been on the top level for 15+ years.

Muhammad Ali will always be the GOAT ! He put everything on the line and helped pave the way so that this clown can be able to sit there freely, giving opinions, uncensored. Also, let us not forget about all of his humanitarian efforts. He used his money to help others, giving away a large portion of it.
Ali was arguably one of the "greatest men" of the 20th!! century.

I disagree with Max's argument for not considering boxers on a P4P basis. Boxing is *structured* according to weight classes, which the non-combat sports typically aren't. It's an inherent aspect of the sport.
