Oh! Also I saw pretty in green channel post about using olive oil (and other stuff) as pesticide. I just tried it on some of my plants and so far no negative effects and I don't see any scales on the ones I treated. Just wanting to share as I have been so stressed about using treatment for pests as I live in a smol unit with my cats 😅
Haha perfect! I prefer not to use 'hacks' like that because there's more effective products and often the side effects are not great. But I get that using products can feel scary and this is a thing that you feel able to do safely so that's great!
@@plantwithroos Great point! 😅 I usually am not into hacks as well, but lately I have been so anxious of the cats ingesting something poisonous, I think I should talk about this with my therapist lol 😆😆
Gorgeous plants! I love your attitude to pests - they shouldn't always be a disaster as they're totally manageable. Was going to point out the toxicity of the dieffenbachia but you're on it, glad your kitties are sensible. I found mine really burnt my hand when I tore off some old leaves and got the sap on me, so you be careful too. FYI aglaonema aren't the same, they're just like normal aroids with calcium oxylates 😊
Oh no! I wonder what happened.. Mine in a previous year got a ton of pests - mainly black bean aphids which were so hard to get rid of, some bulbs didn't make it. But they're very visible, unlike thrips that I have on some now. I'm guessing it's either root rot or pests.
Aahh! Was about to sleep but this one popped up! (Currently 11 pm here) Perfect for relaxing before bed 😌
