I have real lvl 4's but I can't justify possible cracking them for bb wars. For a little realism, I filled my toy solder plastic plates with water and sealed the top with a rubber cork and silicone and duck-tape. They weigh about 4.5 lbs each which is honestly perfect. You feel them but they are not too restrictive. Best part is that it is undo-able. During the summer, Sometimes I will take the weight out of the rear plate and run extra water in my hydro. The carrier balances perfectly so there is no back pain at the end of the day. Just wanted to share what I came up with. My carrier is a Ferro FCPC.
I own these plates, and I have to say, these are just rigid enough to keep the shape of my plate carrier, but they are lightweight, breathable, and flexible. They are the best plates I've ever owned.
I've long believed that chest rigs are bar-none the best kind of lbe for most airsofters but I just can't stray away from my plate carriers for the cool points. That being said, running a plate carrier with PTS plates is like having memory foam pillows strapped to your chest. 10/10 would recommend. Solid review!
One option would be to go to wallmart, buy some foam mats and cut out the shape you want from them and glue them together depending on how thick you want your plate carrier. For me, I'm getting these mainly because they will fill out my carrier (I got the Condor Defender, I know, yikes right?) and keep it sitting upright on the floor (it's too heavy to hang in my closet). Also, if I have to go prone, either on my front or back for an extended period, I'm hoping that they will offer me some soft when I do.
Real men spend $400 on a set of real SAPIs. I just used King Arms ones when I airsofted. Those were hollow plastic, but rigid. Kind of defeats the purpose when they're floppy, since you want plate inserts that make the vest more rigid, not to make it more comfortable.

I find ceramic plates are kinda comfy plus when it's cold they keep a lot of the heat in

cerg yeah, I've got a set of LBX foam ones, don't like them I'm going to buy a set of warrior trail training plates.
They are rigid enough to keep the shape of a pc though
Another nice thing is Dummy plates wont break like Ceramic Plates can
would a medium size sapi plate work for a 6094 plate carrier?
I run medium plates in my LBT 6094a
@@NautilusWolf You have real lbt? You must be rich...
Brilliant overview man! :DDDDD
Where can you buy real actual plates that you can use for airsoft and or real combat
I run real lv 4 ceramic composite plates.
Sernguard Song I wouldn't risk breaking them, I'd use weighted training plates.
I have medium size SAPI plates could they fit in a size small plate carrier?
No.
