Thanks for the review Richie us boys really appreciate it. Once our next gen plates are dialled in we'll have some in the post for you two to test too. Once again thanks for the positive words. Aaron
Looks very interesting! Have been looking at metal training plates to balance out my own plate carrier setup, but this seems like the better option! Think some of the guys in my team would also be interested in a pair of these!
Do you know where I can get plates like the plastic one you showed in the video since I am looking for a medium plate in the shooter's cut that I can fill with sand? Thanks in advance
Why would you buy training plates when there weight is either equivalent or higher than real plates with anti ballistic capabilities? Also why not train with the real item if it will increase the value of your training? Also consider in order for it to be a true training plate you must own the real equivalent to begin with or what exactly are you training for?
Kieran Snow no their not, while plates can be expensive, nowadays your average plate will range you 50-150 dollars, these plates aren't far off, also if there is even a slight ounce weight difference what would be the point? It's just for places where armor is illegal...you know like hell, and Connecticut.
And places you don't need literal armour in. I'm not gonna wear a ceramic body armour plate or four to a game where I get to shoot my mates with plastic balls
So, in crossfit, you often use training plates and carriers, which are only there for additional weight. Why should you buy ballistic plates for your gym? Also ceramic plates can actually get damaged, when they drop in really unlucky angles. So, you wouldn't like to damage the plates, that are there to save your live, in a training accident. Next thing is, if you're an airsoft, or Paintball player running a pc in games. First, you don't necessarily want the weight of real plates, second, PCs are made to hold a plate. So without it, they often get somewhat wobbly and don't fit the way, they're designed. So putting in a light weight, but sturdy plate is a good idea.

ain't the shooter cut actually SAPI cut?
Tomato, potato... ;) but yeah.
Yeah the shooter cut has a more drastic angle than the sapi.

Real, high quality ballistic plates are very expensive. It's training your body, for fitness. Physical training.
