That exact hole from that exact same place doing the exact same thing, literally just happened to me 6 months ago. I was just cruising and then did a small pull then suddenly I see lots of smoke coming out, that hose fell off it's bracket and landed on top of the radiator and then melted there, I went to the auto parts store and bought some bulk hose at length and made my own replacement, the problem is that hose has 2 different sized ends it's wider at the reservoir barb than at the block side so you gotta get crafty to make it work, but it's all fixed and new so, onto the next bull crap.
Honestly in the 7 years I've had my Speed, the only repairs were a passenger axle (bought it that way), coolant hose, stuck single injector (rebuilt them all), and swapped the alternator out. I've never had working AC (compressor leaked, but sunny southern California never gets that hot). Then it's just been wear items.
Mine is a basket case. in the time of me owning it has: AC Clutch seized blown out oil cooler rubbed through coolant line on power steering pump lifter smack EGR came loose throwing lean/rich codes depending on it's mood that day thermostat stuck closed in dead stop traffic, major overheat, causing blown headgasket -you are here i now have to tear the engine down and flush/throw away the old cooling system before winter so it doesn't freeze.
I have owned my 2008 scince it came out and I have had a Bnrs3 for 8 years now .Replaced oil cooler ,ac compressor , turbo . And of course every bolt on you can have for performance. Other than that not much has broken except for wear and tear parts .
@@LifeOfTuners I do have a leaky axle but it’s been like that for a few years now and if it isn’t clicking or giving me issues I’m not changing that bitch lol
Bro spend the money on an upgraded aluminum radiator and some good silicone hoses. My whip has 4600 miles and I’ve already upgraded my radiator and hoses, aswell as my oil pan and intercooler. Turbo sports cars need to stay cool.
The problem is you teenagers driving these cars to the ground! i bought my stock speed6 from a 50 year old guy! he was the sole owner! has 200k miles on it with absolute 0 problem! again i repeat the proboem is you ricer kids! Japanese cars are built to last! if say Toyota is the most reliable car ever! give it to a teen and he will break it within a week!
Honestly it's fine to beat on cars as long as you are just as willing to fix it yourself. Cars are meant to be driven at the end of the day and they tend to be happier when you drive them like you should. Just be willing to dig into and fix your car at a moments notice. Plus, the best way to know your car is by being under it working on it and driving it.
it’s been going hard for a year now, compression is identical across all 4 cylinders, they can take a beating if you maintain them well and drive them correctly

@@LikquidDutch fair enough aha
My Problems:
- Throttle actuator sensor (unstable connection, just needs some spray)
- idle to lean (40€ software update at Mazda dealership)
Not bad 👀

Haven't had any issues with it so far 👍
@@LifeOfTuners that’s good, I just looked at it as future proofing for when I install a bigger turbo and flex fuel.
