Also THIS JUST HIT ME LIKE A TON OF BRICKS: why in these calls is it ALWAYS people talking AT their team and not WITH them?! Omg I cannot believe this just occurred to me. They never ever EVER open it up to the team to say “what are your expectations from this” “what are your concerns” “what have you been doing that you feel isn’t working”… they sit and TELL their team all these things rather than actually asking, listening, collaborating, etc
It's why the listeners always look bored to death. They are forced to be there and their leaders are just wasting their time with recipes, their team cannot apply in their business. Pray?! Ma'am please.
Exactly - even our staff wide information meetings with the CEO to over 300 people - we are asked to give questions and comments either in the chat or to speak.
I agree with you- also all these ‘talks’ are just ‘pep talks’ . No one ever really discusses the actual ‘business’ or how to run a so called business. like the ins and outs, positive AND negative. I actually own a legit small business and if I did what these ‘leaders’ did I would be out of business in a week, if that. Real business owners need a plan, research for customers / clients, key elements, marketing plan, financial overview, and business metrics. That’s a real business owner . These people are employees selling merch. Not business owner

Exactly. Hi from Australia 🇦🇺. I was just thinking the same thing and then scrolled down to see these comments. If I had to sit through this every week I can understand why people have dropped out of her team.
One of my favorite YL experiences was when I was a broke college student and my friend's mom was a distributor (and they were well off, not because of YL, though). They wanted me to buy a starter pack so badly that they said they'd cover the cost of shipping 😅 as if the $12 shipping was stopping me from buying it, and not the $250+ price of the whole kit 😂
It is so cruel to ask that of any young adult, especially a college student. I'd be pissed if my son's girlfriend got suckered into that crap.
And specially when they're rich, imagine asking money from a student, yikes.
I'm pretty sure God and Jesus would NOT approve of lying to the poor and vulnerable in order to take as much money as possible from them. 🤔

I am a religious person and I feel like her “talk” is exploiting religion. My religion comes from my heart and I feel it very very inappropriate to use it in efforts to propel myself above anyone weither it be business, value, friendship, or anything!

They always say things like “I wanted to quit!” “My entire team left me!” “You have to work so damn hard day and night, I just got discharged from the hospital 2 seconds ago and I’m already working and selling product!” like that’s going to draw people in 😭🤣
It's manipulation, to make their customers either feel shame that they're not working enough (if that person can so should they) or to make them falsely think if they just work bit harder.
These mlms will advertise so much time freedom, but then as soon as you’re on a team, they immediately switch to talking about how you need to put in a lot of hard work all the time. They will even talk about working on vacation like they’re bragging about how little time freedom they actually have. It’s horrible how that woman who was sick wasn’t told even once to get off the call and prioritize her own health ahead of being on that call. It’s ignorant that they try to believe and make others believe that if you’re working 24/7 and rarely taking care of yourself, you’ll make it as long as you stay with the company and have a “positive mindset.”
That and they *always* seem to be updating on social media from an emergency clinic that they had to take their child to. Proclaiming the plus sides of this company and the ability to do such a thing, _like taking their kid to the emergency clinic if they’re sick_ - yet they’re STILL working even then!
If my place of employment ever told me God wanted me to shill for my boss...
What does God have to do with selling lavender oil? God has nothing to do with this.
mlms advertising how much you could potentially make by showing their top leaders living in mansions is like hiring mcdonald's cashiers saying "well you need to buy your own cash register and we're not going to pay you anything now but look how rich the CEO is. you can be like him if you just Never Stop Believing!"
it reminds me of gamblers that insist they win by rubbing a machine a certain way... except those people walk away with more money.
as a stylist who used to be under YL's spell, I am *SO* glad I didn't put a diffuser at my station, gooooodness no.
Convincing people to put aside their standards for success and their *most likely very reasonable* expectations for a job, and masquerading that as “knowing your self worth” is just another level of twisted manipulation.
I’d love to see her deep dive into optavia the diet plan. My mom and dad did this “meal plan” early in 2022 and they did lose weight. However they lost it be basically starving themselves to make themselves go into Ketosis. These boxes they buy are like $300 a month and if you get off the “meal plan” you will gain all the weight back and more.
From what I understand they almost expect you to become a ‘coach’ if you have a “success” story and to get more people to buy into the plan.

What I have realised about people in cults/MLMs, they talk too much and too fast. They do not give you a chance to question their beliefs.
I used their products for about a year, didn’t sell or anything but to this day I still don’t understand the hype. Sure, the oils smelled good diffusing but their other products that are like health and wellness related don’t do anything. That, and I couldn’t believe the amount of distributors who were making so many ridiculous medical claims. Like going as far as claiming these products “cured” their illnesses and diseases…it’s disgusting and I’m glad I no longer spend money with them
As someone who once had to be told by faculty to leave a lecture and go to bed because I was sitting there wrapped in a blanket shivering with a fever, ready to take notes, I'd say Kimberlee needs more friends who will DoorDash her some Pedialyte and less who will encourage that practice. The body can only take so much; mine eventually gave out. There's no amount of hustle that is worth your health. Please, everybody, take care of yourselves as well as you are able, and look out for each other. Isabella seems like a fantastic friend.

any job trying to tell me what god wants me to do is an automatic no from me.
I'm a big fan of essential oils for ages, and I use them daily, but I learned long ago that Young Living & DoTerra oils are MLMs, products are grossly overpriced & their companies sales reps advocate some really dangerous ways to use the oils.
I'm going through my deceased sisters belongings, she has thousands of bottles of oil, she has so many cancelled checks to someone that represents herself as a Dr. She lost her life to Pancreatic Cancer, believing 💔 this woman could heal her. She hid all this from the family. Until 4month before she passed away 10-10-2022, she was treating her for liver damage. That caller sounds like everything she was getting information. The hospital checked and this woman was not a Dr. At all.😢😢😢😢

I think it's odd when people combine religion with a monetary venture. Correct me if I'm wrong but personal wealth was very low on the scale of priorities according to Jesus.
This lady talking about being in the room when the miracle happens is talking about their “opportunity” like it’s tinker bell 😭 straight up admitting that the whole thing only works when everyone just *believes* hard enough in it. Enough to pay into it at least!

It’s amazing to me how the leaders can talk and say so many words, without actually saying anything. It’s a lot of words without making sense or solid information. It’s confusing for my brain to process when there’s no valid information present in all those words and so much talking.

The woman talking about wishing she'd brought cards so she could try to make sales while in labor is a special kind of dystopian.
I feel like if I were in an MLM, I'd be soooo bored with these zoom calls because they're all the same. "Hey, look, we got these people to come share their story!" Like, cooooool. If I'm in a work call, I don't want storytime every damn time.

I wonder what it's like to get a demotion like that and to be on such rocky ground. 🤔 in a real job, I get promoted, I'm not being demoted or my paycheck isn't being decreased unless I royally screw up or have a complete career change and the responsibilities aren't one for one. Absolutely crazy that they think this is okay.

I have a qualm with this. I worked as a supervisor at the YL call center. They laid over 200 people off, one days notice, so sketchy and i have theories about why they did it. For people to say "WE CAN HIT THE TOP" no, no you cant. the top is literally crumbling and i cant wait to watch it burn.

I'm from Jakarta, Indonesia, and last week Young Living hold an exhibition in one of our biggest mall. The marketing was pretty aggressive with bright lights and speakers announcing discounts deals etc. My friend and I was intrigued but I remember your videos (thankfully) and now I'm kinda terrified on how Young Living gonna expand in my country.
I would love to see you debunk paparazzi jewelry. Asking for someone close to me who is in deep and needs the reality check 😅
Every time I watch these, I get flashbacks to the lady who tried to rope me and several other college girls into Mary Kay. She didn't know any of us. She didn't have any college-age relatives. She just somehow started inviting rotations of college girls to Mary Kay parties at her house, calling them pampering parties. And I bet she does this every year.
I ended up buying like $100 of products because of the social pressure.

But I hope no girls actually got suckered into that...because that's such a vulnerable time that could really, really BREAK a person. To be fresh out of college and in so much debt, then unable to make income with what you were promised. It would break me.

Ahhhh please do a video about Betterhelp! I almost signed up with them because my favorite podcast kept getting sponsored by them and being the trusting person I am, I thought they are a good choice for me to save some money. And my insurance company even has them as an option on their behavioral health part of the website.
The wildest part for me was when she was claiming that even going to live off the land costs money. Lmao! I mean, sure, if you’re buying a $5,000 water filter like another MLM pushes but that’s not true living off the land.
Fantastic video! The saddest part of all this is that people who are in MLMs will spend years involed in the MLM regardless of what people tell them. It's almost like they HAVE to lose years and thousands of dollars to finally get the memo that these things are scams. Hopefully your videos get through some of them or dissuade others from joining.

In the story she refers to the dead child is in the house and a load of mourners crying etc. Jesus tells everyone to leave, not a divide of believer / not believer, just a clear the room, give some space.

Funny how she shares the story of Jesus sending out the people who don’t believe before he did a miracle… but he also reprimanded the disciples when they got caught up in their own egos and tried to heal others - then blamed them (the sick) when it didn’t work. He said he’s the only one who can do miracles and that their (the disciples) faith should be in him (Jesus) and only him.

As a Christian, I get so anxious when they bring God into these meetings. I get strong spiritual manipulation vibes.
I wouldn’t have my diffuser in the hospital its not allowed in Belgium hospitals. Only if you have a single room maybe but even then it will be checked. I did have essential lavender oil with me but i just did a drop on my own pj’s. And i had a single room.
