It’s one of the worst company, from what I’ve seen. They are big with the FOMO with their jewelry as they release new pieces every day. They are requesting that their participants dresses a certain way. They are pretty similar to Lularoe when it comes to being a cult.

Paparazzi is toxic in so many ways. There is lots of fomo for the consultants. If you sell off all the jewelry you buy through the back office working in one live you'll make rhe 45%, aka 2.75 a piece. also if shipping the jewelry is a hidden cost. Otherwise most consultants can't sell 90% of what they buy. Most consultants buy from other consultants so if they resell items they do at a loss

I unfortunately got into this scam of a company while in college. I can say that the comp plan, yes, is awful. I made no money, was encouraged to purchase massive amounts of product that I could not even sell. And was left with SOOOO MUCH jewelry when I quit. The fake smiles, the fake enthusiasm is cringe inducing.
As someone who recalls the 2008 to 2010 recession, it was bad. Thanks to fake commercial papers and overinflated house market that collapsed, it was extremely devastating in the US as many people were stuck with a mortgage on a property whose value collapsed. With a bank that filed for bankruptcy, it was a mess. It had repercussions around the world. My spouse and I lost our respective jobs but we managed to bounce back for the better.

I asked a friend who was into paparazzi about things small business owners would know like how do you do taxes? How many hours do you work for how much profit? What about other costs like packaging or displays? What's the target customer - what's the demographic of most of your customers? Can I be in the top 1% without a team? Why doesn't the income disclosure statement not include sales - why doesn't the company keep track of your sales, just what you purchase?
    She blocked me....so....there's that.

Yeah $5 and it turned my finger, earlobes, neck, and wrist green. Bought it when I didn't know it was an mlm. On a savannah marie video I commented that & a paparazzi hun replied & told me it isn't meant to be worn out in heat or everyday and that's probably why it turned my skin green, I wore it outside & for to long. Like um? I'm confused if you aren't supposed to wear it out then when are you supposed to wear it? In the words of Julie Jo the sense isn't making.

Their video reminds me of the bad over exaggerated acting in the training videos when I worked at Home Depot.
Also, the best part of being a LEGIT entrepreneur (IMO) is being able to be creative and make my own products. Is it stressful sometimes? Yes. That being said, it's sooooo rewarding for me to come up with new products (my scrunchie sets for example) and release them. I have seasonal releases (that I'm sadly behind on) and then I have ones that I just work on randomly. I have FULL control over everything except for transit times on how long it takes to arrive to the customer.

Here's the five elements as I view them. The product - crappy jewellery made of toxic metals, I can find way better for $2. The company - a pyramid scheme. The compensation plan - pathetic. The support - I can't speak from personal experience, but I bet it's just like any other MLM - they love bomb you till you leave, then you are dead to them. The timing - if you don't get in at the beginning, don't bother. Also Carl, or whatever his name is, looks like a rabbit in the headlights.

I joined Parparazzi a few years ago because I was in a money crunch. It was a bad idea.
Yes, you do make 30-40% margin right away on the jewelry. The problem with the company is that your leaders keep pushing you to buy jewelry every day in order to have a variety of pieces. They definitely push a FOMO environment. They also push for you to recruit.
I ended up with a ton of jewelry I couldn’t sell and stopped selling for them after a couple of months.

  • @TaylorX3

    At 45% retail profit/commissions:
    $1,000 (sales) = $450 profit
    $5,000 (sales) = $2,250 profit
    $10,000 (sales) = $4,500 profit
$10,000 worth of Paparazzi jewelry is 2,000 pieces of jewelry. WHO can sell that much cheap jewelry and keep it up EVERY MONTH. And if I'm not mistaken they buy a lot of their jewelry before they sell it for retail. No wonder their BEGGING people to join.

It's just the sellers that are the buyers, really. It's like the old timers buy everything up, that is popular, then stock pile it back for a later date. It's called "vintage" at that point and it gets hyped up between the consultants. The ones that have three and up hour Lives a week and the ones that go live late at night or early in the morning tend to have their regulars and they look like they are selling stuiff but when you do the math for time, etc they don't make doodley squat, I bet. Oh and another thing, when the new stuff comes out at same time every morning its like a frenzy to get the good stuff ordered. Guess who gets the first dibs on those? .... you guess it, "the old timers"! Guess how they get it... it won't really be offered to "the youngin's" and "the middles" or "the Marsha, Marsha, Marsha"s get a small amount they can fight over. I better stop. I could ramble on and on about this mess. I actually had the girl that recruited me pay for my first kit and start up mess. Can you believe that! I used the stuff for those podd ball xmas presents.

@14:59 Her argument about vinyl records is absolutely incorrect and hilarious as a result. Currently there are only independent vinyl record pressers operating because the industry completely left them behind when switching to CDs. The indie pressers are overwhelmed with orders, there is a massive supply shortage and they are literally begging the big music producers to open up and start pressing records again. However the presses are hard to come by and parts are expensive to machine as well as back-ordered.
In other words - you'd be making a HELL OF A LOT of money if you were selling vinyl records right now. There is literally more business than they can handle and wait lists are getting up to a year long to have your record pressed, especially if you aren't say, Taylor Swift or Post Malone.

    • @azaleaacevedo5124

Target has a whole section for vinyl. The racks are often empty because the albums were snapped up. There’s a used record store near me, and the owner told me he’s been in business for years. That’s even with selling certain conditions for $1. Barnes and Noble has a whole side of the building just for vinyl. It’s like these Huns haven’t been out in 20 years.

2008-2009 was horrible, so bad. Me and my husband both lost our jobs. He lost his in November 2008 and I lost mine in February 2009. We only had 3 kids at that time, ages 10, 7, and 3. Our last one was born in 2010. And Louisiana doesn't pay much in unemployment, it's like 250 a week and then they try and fight you on it and so you might go a month or 2 without anything. Well, long story short, we ended up getting evicted (the ONLY time in my life where I was evicted) and being homeless for 2 weeks. My friend was nice enough to let us stay with her until we got paid and could get a place.
