- He didn't have the millions of little coloured balls bouncing down Dingle's main street - which really would have been quite the look - but we didn't care. Sweden's finest - José Gonzales performing at the Church of St James, Dingle for Other Voices in 2005 💓

My son had chosen this to be played at his funeral, which we did 8 years ago. Always makes me think of his gentleness, love and kindness to everyone.
your son sounds like a really great guy. All the best
What a beautiful thing.Bet your sons laid on a cloud watching you.
Sorry for your loss Clare.
Your son had great taste. He's watching over you all now.
I'm sorry for your loss. Thank you for sharing this, it's really nice to hear.
I thank the audience for not making any noise during the performance.
Dingle is a very small town in Ireland were this was preformed. My older brother Joel lived there and took his own life there at 27 the age I am now. At 27 he was at his lowest where I at 27 am at my happiest. He moved from England to co Kerry Kerry Ireland in 2003 he moved out there about 2007. My brother lived in a small caravan and killed himself inside there il never understand fully why but this song makes me think of him. To my brother Joel il love you forever xxx
God bless
Be brave mate and be proud of him, fella.
Sorry to hear about your brother. My brother’s name is Joel too.
Hope you are able to stay strong. It’s not all bad in this world. God bless you. Hope you find peace. Stay safe and well. Talk to anyone and everyone about your brother and how you feel. 🙏
😢
10 years later and I still watch this video and listen to this song frequently. ❤
Likewise. Strangely, I came to listen tonight for support while my mother's in the hospital.. who's also Liz Williams. Freaky coincidence.
I stumbled across this recently. This is such a musical hug. Very soulful. I heard Jose Gonzales before and always loved how soothing his music is. No big production. Just a nylon-string acoustic guitar and his voice.
I LOVE it. I went and listened to the album version and BLEHHHH!!! It was processed. This however, is amazing.
... and cry
Nice 👍
Music so delicate, you don't even want to bite the candy in your mouth.
beautiful.
awesome

Just sat next to him on the tram in Gothenburg. Such a genuine guy. Heard him speaking with some friends and he was so sweet.
@chasekeith hey! I’m an upcoming artist from Oakland CA and I would love if you checked out my videos :) I know these are so annoying but thank you for the support ❤️
read it as "heard him spanking sme friends and he was so sweet"

@@pilarmarie5138 *so* *annoying* except when they're actually original and interesting. I'll sub that.

@@jr2904 Yes, José Gonzales covered this song. It's written and performed by The Knife originally. Check it out!
@@ShadyLurker84 interesting, will do
In my opinion the original is dreadful.
@@genep3056 This is a great cover, but the original is excellent. In my opinion far more emotionally impactful. To each their own.
This is my second favourite. Crosses will be played at my funeral 🎉
I love this.. 14 years ago I was diagnosed with cancer and had to have an mri and I choose this cd to play whilst in the mri room. Played cd twice over. Bitter sweet memories xx must be good luck as still all clear
Did she died?
Weird how this is only getting replies now. I hope your okay. Much love🙏❤️
We all die... return to the lack of existence. Like the “place” “you” “were” for the billions of years before you were born.

2024. This song still stings hard in all the right reasons.
Everything seems to dissolve away when watching this performance. All the music industry bullshit, the posing and marketing and mediocrity, the pessimism that is so easily nurtured in this noisy, unfair world. It all dissolves away. Just one guy and his guitar, with a perfect, perfect song.
well said.
Davedude111 beautifuly said.. could not agree more! It is perfect, out from this world. You just forgot one thing to say. This is not just a one regular guy, this is one regular guy with unique and beautiful voice.
Davedude111 beautifully said Dave. greetings from India
+Shit Glitter
it's still a beautiful version, by THIS artist.
+Davedude111 I second that. I commented earlier on Dingle, where this recording took place, and I believe this feeling you and I both experienced is in no small part down to Dingle. If you watch other performances from there, there it is, the same feeling. There's something about the place that attracts these kind of artists that have old souls. Dingle peninsula is literally almost the western most part of Europe and feels the brunt of the Atlantic but also the benefits of the Gulf Stream and is somewhat secluded in modern day terms. All this adds to it's magic, majesty and mystery. Check out other performances from there and if you ever get the chance to visit then jump at it.
Heard this song on "Bones" for the first time a few years ago. Possibly the most beautiful, haunting song they used. Such an elegant simplicity.
Interesting, i knew this track from the sony commercial and didnt know it was on Bones, but I discovered Charlie Worsham’s rubberband album from Bones and there are some beautiful tracks buried in that record. Whoever picked tunes for that show was great.
No matter how many years pass i will never forget you
I met Jose through a mutual friend who married one of his band mates in Junip. He is extremely kind and a humble person as well, blessed to know this human🙏🏾
Every couple months I look at this video. If I still have that same intense shiver down my spine it means I'm still human. Good.
Hurts like hell, in a nice way
This is so true man. It makes you believe in the good in humanity.🙂🙂🥲🥲
Me too... Still👌
this is fucking ethereal, absolutely stunning.
Chris, if you reach this, then hear this
You're still teaching ways and touching souls day in and day out.

When i was 18, I was madly in love with this guy. I had to move away to another country after high school. This was the song he played for me when we ended things. Now in my mid-30's, we both sure have moved on with our lives but every time I listen to this song, it brings back so many memories, the heartaches, the pain I went through many many many years ago.
Reach out to him, wtf is wrong with you, please reach out to him.
@@Microbit0 I have him on Facebook. But that’s as far as it goes - I am happily married and so is he. He will always have a special place in my heart that’s for sure ;)

This is deep!
Не знаю, о чём поет этот парень, но звучит супер!!!
What beautiful words. x
Thanks now I’m crying
Still Amazed by this tune ten years after
My wife walked down the isle to this beautiful song. A gentleman performed on his guitar and sang the vocals. I served in the army and in Afghan and was quite manly with my emotions. As soon as he hit the first string for this time I was done. I cried honest for about 30 minutes. Thank you for such an elegant and heart felt song

Who remembers this from the sony advert more than a decade ago.
One night to be confused
One night to speed up truth
We had a promise made
Four hands and then away
Both under influence
We had divine sense
To know what to say
Mind is a razor blade
To call for hands of above, to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, no
One night of magic rush
The start, a simple touch
One night to push and scream
And then relief
Ten days of perfect tunes
The colours red and blue
We had a promise made
We were in love
To call for hands of above, to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me, oh
To call for hands of above, to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me
And you
You knew the hand of the devil
And you
Kept us awake with wolves' teeth
Sharing different heartbeats in one night
To call for hands of above, to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me
To call for hands of above, to lean on
Wouldn't be good enough for me
People arguing about which version is better. Like it even matters.
Just enjoy it.
It's the lyrics that count
moartrollz4dinner
the knife has the lyrics, so simple and nice
reading people argue about which is better is what gets me through the days :P
The knife and Jose are friends so I think it's beautiful that he took their song and added another spin which means the beautiful lyrics reaches more people.
One of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard in my entire life.
This song. Ive been looking for this song for more than 10 years and i just found it by humming it into Google voice thingy. I couldn't remember the name of the song or the guy. I just remember it came out when i went through a bad beak up. It was so beautiful but made me so emotional at the time. I can finally listen to it again without all that stuff in my mind . It doesn't hurt any more. Yay.
Still love this song!
I'm so sorry Courtney. You were everything.
His voice quite literally dampens down my receptors and calms my soul

As time passes by, I always find myself coming back to this video. It’s the one thing I can reminisce about, and it is like the one puzzle in my book of memories. Nah, mate. You're not the only one 👊
This is a true artist. No autotune. No lip syncing. No amazing audio equipment setup. Just a very gifted musician with nowhere to hide singing from his heart and soul with raw talent, just his voice and a guitar.

It's creating songs like this that is the real talent.
