Thank you so much for this awesome video 😎
Would you kindly Show the same thing to add a USB port to the old stero system? Thank you.
@@aldobiglari4575 it doesn't work that way. The old stereo is too stupid to know what to do with a USB connection, and there is no way, relatively speaking, to make it smarter.
Ok I have a couple rocketfish speakers nothing else with them. I thought they were Bluetooth because they have a button on the back that says pair. Apparently they are not they are something for a radio channel. Is there a way I can turn them into Bluetooth?
I AM SO VERY THANKFUL TO HAVE COME ACROSS YOUR VIDEO.... NOT ONLY WAS I ABLE TO TURN MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE STEREO SYSTEM IN TO A BLUETOOTH SOUND MACHINE, AFTER MY NEIGHBOR SEEN WHAT I DID, HE ASKED ME TO MAKE HIM ONE TO FOR HIS SOUND SYSTEM, HE PROVIDED EVERYTHING I NEEDED, I PUT IT TOGETHER ....HE PAID ME 200!!! NOW HE HAS ALL HIS BUDDIES ASKING WHERE HE GOT IT THEY WANTED ONE FOR THEIR SYSTEMS TOO. HE TOLD THEM 250 EACH ...LOL I HAVE SOLD 17!!! WOW......THANK YOU!!
Awesome! That will be $50 please

Is there any help from you, i did sent messages to you,.
thumbs up and subscribed. I love it when i see someone doing a simple DIY project at home and especially when it comes to gadgets. I'm always looking for home DIY stuff or lifehack type videos.
This is soo cool...i've always wanted to hook up my Old Stereo to a bluetooth device...im sick of changing channels at a device if i leave on a shelf while doing some chores every single time i wanted to switch songs from youtube or etc...this will help out while moving around in the house switching music etc from the device wirelessly...this is pretty awesome I will try this...thanks
I learned something new. The superglue idea for the small wires is genius. I would have never thought of that. This is why I love watching DIYers.
Dude you're a genius- thanks for this!
Man, I was already a subscriber, so when you flipped the optional material around 05:15 I became a fan. Nice work 🐵
YeeeeeeeeeYEEEEE
I've got a few Bluetooth speakers, and random speakers I've tore out of systems just collecting dust.
I've got all the parts and you just showed me how easy it is to make them all a Bluetooth system of some sort to be decided in the next couple hours hahahaha. Thanks man.
Little tip you can buy heat shrink solder joiners now! None the less great video will be trying this
Although your video was some time ago i just made an stereo junk-bluetooth box an reciever for my audio-setup. Great!
Omg I love RUclips and people like you. Awesome👌
finally i put my old Bluetooth speaker back in action thanks to your video simple and easy.😁
Thank you very much for the comprehensive tutorial ❤
Great video mate.. Big Thumbs up from Australia
Great stuff!
Thats awsome man
Good work and thank you
Excellent! I’m so glad I came across this video going to try this tonight with my inherited older Onkyo amplifier bc it has nothing, I mean not even a HDMI BUT I just couldn’t bring myself to trash it bc it still makes the old speakers sound great ....So thanks !!
I got a Denon amp but a pair of Onkyo speakers my brother and I but back in high school that were 175 each on clearance so they were like a lot for the '90s and wipes out of town I could actually use them LOL
I just want to say I do appreciate how in-depth and in detail he was. I was literally doing it in my head as he was explaining it, & as like a question would come up. With out even having to ask, he was on point, clear, and very educating when I didny fully understand. I was able to do it myself & was successful. Thank you DIY Monkeys.
Same
Thanks man! Super helpful!
Great bit of repurposing, thanks for sharing mate!
Absolutely amazing!
Thank you for your hack, Mack!
Fantastic video! Keep it up!
great vid!! I have a speaker here of almost the same type, single speaker, I have a question though, will the voltage output of the bluetooth match amps and preamps today both car audio and home audio? greetings from the Philippines..
So simple! Thanks !
Great idea 👍Any way to make a stereo version using two units?
Man you make a great tutorial video! You should keep doing more video with this much depth of detail and explaining. It helps a lot. You should do this idea but using the same concept of using a old bluetooth speaker to add this to a portable speaker that doesn't have bluetooth but already has a battery. So basically you'd be adding bluetooth to the portable speaker and hooking it up to the already existing battery from the speaker so all gets charged at the same time. This is what I'm trying to do and why I found your video lol So if you have time to try this I'd be super happy to see this cuz I'm stumped lol
Wireless +ransportation of energy?
Hello where do you hook up the RCA jacks to ? Can you adjust the volume using your old stereo system?
Awesome info sir
Awesome my man
Excellent!
Bro, I appreciate your ingenuity and love your content and that is why I instantly subscribed to your channel.
I would also suggest for under $20 Amazon has Bluetooth modules that convert old stereo to Bluetooth capable and am certain it would work in this application. It's a plug and play.
You are so creative funny ! Very smart idea ! Save old loud speakers now !
Awesome! Thank you
Thanks!!! New subscriber!!!💥💥💥
This is so Cool!
Hi there, thanku for your video, I'm messing about trying to make some old speakers Bluetooth compatible but I was using the jack plug socket on my little old Bluetooth speaker but when playing music it sounded terrible. Should I try wire some speaker wire to the circuit board itself, would that work better? Again thanks 🙏👌👍
Worked great; easy to do. Used "wire glue electrically conductive glue", can be found on e-bay & amazon.
is it possible for me to convert my surround speaker to wireless? I'm using multiple of "JBL EON 510" & a single of "samson auro d1200" (active sub). ..... (and the mixer) ........ I want know what's the best path for me to make my spkrs/sub wireless. tyvm from ur help.
How would you put it in discovery mode? Just asking. Some things, you have to hold power or a combination of buttons
GREAT. Subbed!
Awesome just what I was looking for'
Soo can you straight connect it to a subwoofer or do you have too connect it to the amp?
nice its work thank you
I watched to see how it hooks up to the stereo . Guessing just plug into thw auxiliary rca jack in the back huh? I'm trying to figure out how to do the same thing with a boom box from the early 2000's but it doesn't have auxiliary Jack's. But the thing thumps louder than any Bluetooth speaker on the market, so if anyone knows how, or has a link for a videonfor that, I'd appreciate it
Very good video!! Very helpful bro 👍
Good stuff!!!
Thumbs up for this Video . it worked for me . ;)
Excellent!!
I love it good job love it love it thanks man
Great video. The from Croatia.
Nice thanks 💡
You're awesome bro thank you
Brilliant !!!
Had the same idea, coz I had an old Bluetooth speaker just lying around. Tried to set it up and failed. But your video told me where I was going wrong, I never separated the wires. Works like a dream now. Thanks.
Wow, so you took it apart and just twisted all the wires together in a knot then... didnt know to separate the +\- wires... hmm.. yea, dont take on any electrical projects like ever..
@@Z-Ack I agree. That nuclear reactor project has been put on the back burner until I watch a few more you tube videos.
@@Z-Ack to be fair though, I did separate the red and black wires, just didn't realise that there was a positive and a ground within the one wire. I do now
@@Z-Ack LMFAO
So will this make the cube type device trip off? Like back in the day when i would hook my 10" Cerwin Vegas to my Awia bookshelf stereo, ya know?
very nice , thank a lot
Nice video
Do u have a diy video showing how to transmit audio from the TV to earbuds over bluetooth
Great video. Can you or anyone else suggest a diy rig to add bluetooth to this tv? I need a remote bluetooth speaker to listen to this tv audio and NOT use the speaker thats built into the tv. ( samsung pn51d450a2d ) ANY SUGGESTIONS ?
I thought you knew what you were doing until you brought out the glue.
Still it’s a pretty good idea & I enjoyed the concept.
If I do this in a vehicle and I have ants do I connect it to the amp audio input or the stereo audio input
Hi i have a (LG ARX8000 home theater system) and i have a Bluetooth box so i want to know where do i out it in of my receiver?
Will this work for a xbox one S controller enabling it to recieve signal from Bluetooth headphones?
Ok I have a couple rocketfish speakers nothing else with them. I thought they were Bluetooth because they have a button on the back that says pair. Apparently they are not they are something for a radio channel. Is there a way I can turn them into Bluetooth?
this great sir tnx for this video..
Great video, one question: why doesn't it sound the same? Mine only seems to output the higher frequencies, no bass.
wow nice thank you....
thanks
Is it get the power fron the rcl cable? Or its steel need to be reachargd?
thank you so much that was awesome and I'm going to try it..I am single so no guy to help with all that haha and iv always been do it myself kinda person anyways! 💯😏 & this video is simple EASY &..detailed perfectly 👊
When you on hook the new line out, does the original bluetooth speaker still work to take with you while walking/biking?
Not everyone get to drive, o.k.?
BullyBilly.
I’m confused tho…do you still have to charge the speaker to turn on? How can u wire RCA wire to battery?
I wanna build a TV AUX to Bluetooth transmitter. Is it possible to do that using an old Bluetooth headphone that has an AUX port.
Help. I have an old Sony MHC-F150 Multi Cd stereo. The only input are MD/Audio in and out. 2 red and 2 white. I bought a blue tooth receiver. Cannot get it to work.
You're a LIFESAVER 🤗🤗🤗🤗
I have a tip. If you don't want to use your teeth to strip the small wires use a lighter. It doesn't take long to melt the insulation a little. Basically warming up the insulation so it stretches and breaks easily.
There is many different approaches that can be taken before using your teeth. Takes on little wire getting stuff to bust your tooth in half.
@@JakePlisskin12 nope just a light nothing else will work. Teeth and a lighter. Lol. Just messing with you. You're right
Thanks for this the young generation need these things...
Cool rant, boomer
How about the RCA that have, the red and black and the outer wire, in other words has 3 wires? Thank you.
Can this work for the old Sonos amp because can’t play music don’t more I got 2 outdoor speakers the app is not longer working is outdated
Question: Would it work if connect it to a lets say a 4inch speaker?
Thanks, mine turned out great. now my laptop can play thru my guitar amp so i can practice by trying to keep up with Chuck Barry or ZZ Top
perfect I like your style If you do some Chuck🎸 Berry (RIP) you got to do the duck walk, and if you do some ZZ Top Billy gibbons would be proud to know your practicing some Skynyrd too, after all he got them their first paid gig !!! Rock⚡on✌️- JF🎸🐾
Thanks worked perfectly
Excellent!
Lol, used an old bluetooth headset, followed your instructions, worked perfectly!

Who wires did you use
Man I know ur video is 4 years old but I tried it didn't work for me did u get the wires from the speakers or the bluetooth
Your voice bro is like the one on windows 😬 thanks for the tutorial
Love it
I tried this three times and everytime they fried- Im using the bluetooth same as you did and im powered by the outlet so whats goin on with the bluetooth fryin?
that is gonna just have a left or right channel only. still won't here one or the other since it's only 1 channel but of course you can put that wire to play on both channels but still will not hear the channel that is missing unless the blutooth is originally mono channel.
Please make a video for piezo pre amp please
I've figured out how to do this about a year ago and it's just gonna sound distorted. Even with a tiny cheapo your still going from a speaker level to line level. I give you props for the vid though, good job. So as not to be "THAT GUY", just solder or use a female multi pin connector to run a 4.7uf or 10uf capacitor between the + and -. Worked for me on that amplifier board, should work on most of them. Keep ROCK'N! ,🤘👍
Aye there, have any more info for clarity. I'm thinking of taking a bose home sub woofer and turning it into a Bluetooth portable
Honestly this video is more of an experiment just to see if it works, which it does just not very well because a 3.5mm or RCA input requires a small amount of filtering. If the output is coming from a bypassed speaker there is no filtering. That's why I suggested using a capacitor in parallel between the+ and -. If you are thinking about doing this, just buy a Bluetooth receiver. They're cheap and will do exactly what's in this video without complications. 🤷👍
Thank you great video I don't know why it didn't occur to me to just use the speaker wire as the output I overcomplicated it in my head awesome awesome I've been wanting to do this with an old Bose Wave radio I found in the garbage works great sometimes be nice to just play the song on there instead of that crappy little Google speaker thing. But by the announcing that crappy thing just gave me the idea I could use that straight the same way! Thank you again by writing you a comment gave me that idea! Sweet
Next I'll work on punctuating my comments 😂
BRILLIANT! Omgggggggggggggg
I have a cheap sound logic Bluetooth speaker need to know which wire goes to the cricbord un hooked the wires no don't know how thay go back to the borad
Excellent work.. How do you supply power for bluetooth module... ?
I think he recharges it in the old speaker
I’m not entirely sure what this was for. Was the small Bluetooth speaker converted into a Bluetooth receiver for the larger speakers?
Where do u connect the RCA to
Does the battery voltage matter ?? I have a 5 volt Bluetooth I want to hook up to a 12volt Bluetooth
Will this work if I attach the bluetooth to a car speaker? My car has no aux
I've done this, tho you may need a bigger battery because the stock battery is made to power a small 8watt speaker at most, so with even hooking it to a system of any sort that requires more power input can bring that battery life from 4hours of play time, down to 10min play time. (From personal experience only, I would wish some people to read this before ruining a speaker without knowing the cons
