Dope build 🔥🔥🔥 I especially appreciate the monitor stand as I was trying to see what it would like if I built it myself 👍. Thanks for the great inspiration and ideas for my own rig 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Man, this rig looks GREAT and appears to work well too!! I'm just getting into sim racing, and since I refuse to pay $3-500+ bucks for a decent rig - and plus I like sticking it to The Man, and really enjoy building my own DIY shit to MY specs - I have been scouring YT and elsewhere looking for a cheap, easy to build wooden rig. And I think this one's it!! And you even spent like $8 for some Dollar General black paint and took a few to paint the damn thing, as many I see they just skip it and it looks like ratty raw 2x4 shit. It looks like you eyeballed everything, but you wouldn't happen to have any measurements would you? Regardless, I'ma build this exact one of yours right here! I may spend some extra time routing/sanding and round off all the corners and edges, countersink the screw holes and wood fill, and will either paint it, but really thinking about some cheap black 7D carbon fiber-look self adhesive vinyl wrap to the whole thing, spring for a 2x8/10 for the wheel shelf and add some cheap black indoor/outdoor carpeting for the flooring. I'm probably going to add some very simple adjustability to the wheel, pedals, shifter and seat mounts, so I can go from drift/production car racing to F1 laid back style easily. I'm also planning on grabbing up a nice comfy sport bucket leather or Alcantara seat from a car at the junkyard for cheap. if it's a bit raggedy, I'll slap a nice mid-level sport seat cover on it - I'm old and need to be comfy...lol. I already have a nice 120hz 35" curved gaming monitor, but will plan and leave room to add wooden expansion arms (or some cheap tv mounting arms) and eventually upgrade to 3x, 55 or 60" 4k TV's in the future. Anyways, THANKS SO MUCH for posting this. Gave you a like and a sub! PEEEAAACE!
Thanks for the detailed reply brother I appreciate it. Yes I eyeballed about everything just sat the seat on ther and started building to what felt right. It is not perfect but it gets the job done for super cheap. I will tell you the base I 2 feet by 4 feet long and I built off of that. Based on my height and feel that I wanted. It’s the power of wood.
@@randydrifts THANKS! I forgot to add, that to help with strength, I'll add some cheap angle brackets to all of the inside and even outside corners wherever I can.
nice work, man! Looking to maybe rip your design a bit. I do want to take a bit more time to polish it though. Maybe add some carpet and sand before painting.
Hey man, loved the video! I'm actually wanting to make my own sim rig based on a 350z and was wondering if you had some of the rough measurements for the rig?
No man I don’t have any plans. I just went off of what felt good. I made the frame stuck the seat on it and just played with it. Until I got something solid. Base frame is about 24”x48” the rest is a variable.
I actually order this off of Amazon. It is an NRG sim racing seat if you search it. It should pop up it was a little expensive but very comfortable and cool
You can also go to your local car yard and buy a passanger seat out of a real car. Near me a seat costs $35 if you take it out yourself. Sometimes you can find great stuff that way!

No problem man there isn’t much info on diy rigs. I know this isn’t the most informative video but anyone can replicate this.
nice build, if it works, its perfect, one of the better wooden builds ive seen
Thanks it definitely has fulfilled its purpose at a very cheap cost.
Nice job!! Wood is good!!
Thanks 👍
Dude!! This one solid build!! My first one was junk and this is definitely one of the better builds I’ve seen!! Thank you sir!! 🤘🏻🤙🏻
No problem thank you! This build has some issues I am not a wood worker but it works!

Awesome work man! FYI - set your camera shutter speed to the same as your power frequency to prevent those rolling black lines 👌🏼
Thanks for the tip, I will have to look into this. I used a GoPro and I wondered why the leds lights were effecting the camera
That looks awesome!
It is so much budget fun

Thanks! Yeah you can really spend some time on these if you want cool thing about wood easy to work with and add on too.
Hey man, loved the video! I'm actually wanting to make my own sim rig based on a 350z and was wondering if you had some of the rough measurements for the rig?
Ah man I actually do not, I could take some but I do know for sure the base is 48” in length and around 24” wide.
I appreciate the love 👊🏻
@@randydrifts thank you and of course man! and if you could I would really appreciate it🤙🏻
This rocks!
👊🏻
Planning on making my own diy rig since everything is expensive also what are the dimensions of that rig?
I don’t have any real dimensions I made everything on the fly. But the base is 24”x48”
I have had a few people interested in the dimensions. Maybe I can take some time and make a video on the measurements
thanks thats all i needed since im going to make everything else for my height @@randydrifts
@@kife2 no problem man! 👊🏻

Aweome rig! was just curious as to where you got that seat from / what model is it? Thanks
