    I rolled my eyes and went to their site expecting "I Saw You Coming" prices, but was pleasantly surprised. I have a workshop in which I've more or less built one of these for myself over the years, but I'd be hard pressed to make it worth my while doing so compared to what Mark's offering. Very impressive. Really nice to see such a good product made in my home country too.

    Looks about 100 times more of the quality than the PlaySeat Challenge seat line up.

      Looks like I am going to need to invest in an umbrella for my Playseat Challenge, since so many people are p*ssing on it! I had my doubts too, until I tried one.

      @@bobmcl2406 the major problem is that there is a metal "pipe" right between your feet. That causes a big problem when you want to break with your left foot. With the Fanatec CS 2.5 I nearly ripped my seat of the metal construction ^^

    • @bestopinion9257
      @bestopinion9257 Год назад

      @@bobmcl2406 I just tried one. That ActiFit thing is soft and elastic and after a while you'll stay on those straps that dig into your body. And the force feedback is leaking through that unstable mounting thing. It is overrated. Better than a stand with a cheap chair maybe but worse than you can built at home with cheap materials.

    This seems like a really great option for people that run high ffb DD wheels and/or really heavy loadcells as they can have something that really will endure the forces, won't flex and give them confidence.
    Downside would be the looks, but it's nothing a bit of paint can't fix.

    I'm so glad I've encouraged you to go and make this video. Such a great simrig (which my anti-plastic mid-life crisis approves a lot). It's a piece of art, seriously. You can even paint it any colours you want although I love as it comes.

    Interesting interview. Nice to see someone solving an engineering problem from "first principles". The answer is not always obvious. Bravo to RSR.

    This rig looks fantastic! As a long time woodworker I can appreciate the design and CNC fabrication of this rig. The use of the high count veneers in the plywood will make this setup very strong and stiff. Would love to try this rig and see it finished in a beautiful wood stain and clear finish. Peace!

    If I didn't already have a high-end rig I'd likely check this one out, thanks for bringing it to my attention 🙂
    I wonder if they offer alternate colour finishes, such as staining it or panting it in specific colours.

    All the carbon emissions saved from the previous strict lockdowns were useless because our plastic consumption went off the charts. Im still in the process of making my own wood rig, but having a commercially available organic material rig is game changer
