First comment! Ps nice video
I've played both,first on 3ds (biggest regret of my life.)then on ps4 or ps3 then the 2nd on ps4.
Xenoblade!!!! YES PLS.
Nice to see you stepping your game up...nice vid.
Is this from the perspective of someone who played and loved resi 4?
People keep saying "on the go" as a good quality, as if i go anywhere besides my room
ikr wtf
Some people aren't losers
Nick Ando yeah too bad you are
dope malone but I'm not the loser that likes his own comments
Nick Ando i didnt even like it asshat
Revelations 2 is honestly one of my favorite games of the series behind 4 and the Remakes. It's just got actual creepiness to it and never feels overly action focused, and has a decent story.
To me its just frustrating but its lil creepy here amd there but tbh it dont feel like a resident evil game to me and so far my least favorite of all the ones i played but im still currently playing it so my opinion may change but rer1 was awesome to me i played re7 re2 remake re3 remake re1 remake and rer1 all 4 r awesome re3 the worse of the remakes but still awsome game rer2 don't seem good to me so far but im still playing it so it may change
@@Trilliman707 so has it changed?
@@deepinsight1175 I love the raid mode that's it
I'm really enjoying Revelations 2. It feels more American horror than Resident Evil (cenobites, psychopathic trials and experiments, abandoned hospitals, etc.) but it pulls it off really well. Honestly, I think it would be a better experience if you *didn't* know anything about RE and didn't get the references to Spencer, Wesker, Terragrigia, etc. I feel like they detract from the sense of dread.
(Oh also I think Claire works better in this game if you think of her as a standard Ellen Ripley-type heroine and *not* as Claire Redfield the recurrent Resident Evil protagonist.)
Revelations 2 was initially shaping up to feel like a competitor for RE4’s crown. Claire and Moira fighting to escape that dark, grimy, dilapidated, fog laden prison. And those blood soaked freaks and soundtrack just added to the nightmarish atmosphere. That scene where they’re all suddenly released from their cells then close in in you… heart pounding stuff! I couldn’t wait to see what was next in store for Claire and Moira, but the tension was then ruined by having to switch to Barry and replay the same area albeit with decayed zombies. Being forced to switch between stories was just a bad design choice. Barry’s campaign just felt like a cheap B game replay through. Oh well, maybe Capcom will eventually get it right.
I love RE Revelations 1, it feels like the good old RE4 and it even made me jump a couple of times. It has good scares.
Probably bc they stole a lot of ideas from Resi 4
@@latayesha stupidest comment I’ve ever seen
@@latayesha it's almost like they're part of the same franchise.
@@redvelvet5374 It's almost as if they're out of ideas and repeating the good old ideas. Instead of trying anything new. 🤔🤔🤔

Revelations 1 is underrated
Yes. Absolutely.
Agreed
Eh, i don't like it as much as 2
@@ickyvicky2939 Have you played RE4 ? I'm playing it right now , its been 14 years! since I played it on GameCube. Still holds up 👍 its a great game

Thanks! Gonna grab Revelations 1 on Switch and see how it goes.
Never expected to see you here, Karl. Hope you enjoyed it.
Hey Karl big fan of your videos. Amazing to see you here
Karl be nice. Say u love and appreciate them.
Revelayatons 2 was way more fun with all the call backs and the general campiness
Bo C WTF is Revelayaton?🤣😆😂😆
Bo C. Which game is more focused on shooting?
Also, does either game have any sort of weapon or character customization?
Thanks
Ya.. Claire was almost a Claire Sandwich xD.
Gun_Damn_IT haha, It's from SuperBestFriendsPlay, the LP is worth a watch!

Alright late comment. For both games, accuracy is important.
But it's cranked up a notch in Revelations 2. Its very rare for you to *"powerthrough"* on the main story.
Weapon customization is available for both online modes and story.
I mean its cool the switch is getting games and all but.....
Revelations 2 was on sale for under a buck during the Steam sale
Right and it was free on the ps4 a couple months ago
John Zoidberg i barley vought a switch. And anything but Mario or Zelda is garbage. Switch has nothing!
Just a man trying to learn rer1 was free for gold(xbone) till thanksgiving
Speaking from a Nintendo-only gamers perspective, almost anything third party related is a cause for celebration.
John Zoidberg pretty sure it was just the first episode and not the whole game
hope you guys are doing well at gameranx.
Wish they would do another Parasite Eve.
Screamin Mime YASS
Screamin Mime YES, DEFINITELY!!!
One that either remakes 1 and 2, or a continuation of the story. The PSP game never... never happened.
fuck yes. love 1 and 2!i could never play "the third birthday"!! I think the reasons why they never made more sequels is because they have copyright and license problems, that's why they had to remove the name "parasite eve" to the third installment and call it solanete the 3rd birthday!
Suggest it in a well written letter to Square Enix since Squaresoft was the company in charge of the franchise. :)
And personally I wish I chose the first game over Final Fantasy VII. Not that it is like the time I tried reading an article about 'Yoshinoya: The Game' -- An article that is more of a rant about game ownership, roommates, and being a vegetarian than the game itself -- than the fact its innovations and horror-based theme is what has me return to franchises like Biohazard/Resident Evil, etc.
Screamin Mime damn I haven’t heard that title in forever
I actually think this are more than "ok" games, they are even better than RE 5 and especially RE 6 in terms on how well they keep the tradition of being "survival horror" games, sure they aren't Code Veronica or RE Trilogy, but they still keep the feel of horror and don't exactly feel like shooters at most parts (Especially Revelations 2)
MSd Radiant Alpinia Code Veronica X on PS2 was the best in my opinion. One of the classics
MSd Radiant Ansel they are better than 4,5&6
@@spaghettiioassassin8151 not better than 4 your delusional.
@@demonsdomain6919 Yeah, 4 is better than Revelations, though Revelations is better than 5 and 6, though it still doesn't compare to the latest games in the series, I will say though, I liked the environment of RER and RER2 very much, the aquatic, humanoid creatures bring a fresh plate of new enemies to the table in RER and the afflicted from RER2 are tortured, muted humans, I also like the idea of the T-Phobos virus being triggered by fear, RER2 also gave us one of the scarier enemies of the series, which are the Revenants.
Na dude 5 was good
RER1 and 2 are some of my favourite resident evil games. I understand why some people may not like them, but those people are also unlikely to like any of the other resident evil games.
I played 1 2 3 4 code veronica 5 6 7 and 0 and 1 2 remakes but revelations games are the only games i didn't try you recommend i pick em up ?

i disagree on the portable feel. This game feels absolutely incredible on a tv
Just finished Revelations 1 and I really enjoyed it. Loved how it tied in perfectly RE5 . As it made that story for RE5 make alot more sense. Looking forward t o starting part 2, I have to say I like, 'The Previously stuff that wa y if you dont play for a bit, It gives you a nice refresher.
I've beat both of these and I really like them
i love revelations 2 its really good in my opinion
rev 1 and 2 are the sequels that re 4 deserve it. Waiting for rev 3 :)
me too. i loved everything about it. i think RER1 was good but kinda bland and the characters had little to no personality. and pluse RERs story gets very boring at times.
Nintendo boy i disagree that the characters were bland and story lacked excitement! I didn't get far in RER1 and same for RER2 but i've seen enough footage of gameplay to say, characters in the games are phenomenally voice acted, well designed and most pf all Complete. No two character shared the same personality and every boss you encountered had a backstory if you went looking around.
i can agree with that
I regretted not buying rer2 it is waaay better than I expected. Re6 completely turned me off and I didn't want to play re anymore
RER1 is awesome fan service for the RE community it's a great game, though i just cant forgive what they did to Jills face :(
As for RER2, unless you're a big RE fan I'd skip the story and jump straight into raid mode.
Claire and Jill's faces are both awful
I love Jill's face
I'm the complete opposite, I found the first one uninteresting. Having to play as those two annoying guys was unbearable. Where as Revelations 2 was all around better. But that's just my opinion.
mixnflix101 I literally feel the opposite way about these games lol
Claire face is a lot worse than jills but that ass in her cowgirl outfit.....good lawd!
B Resident Evil game? Could one say Resident Bvil?
Just show yourself out...

Sadly I´m a RE fan boy, I don´t understand reasoning and for me these games are fucking great! I´m obsessed with them, my eyes are red because I spent the entire morning playing RE Revelations 2 non stop! haha
Samuel Mejia right and Raid mode is addictive as hell.
How could u get into it?
How you could get into it? Dumb question
I put an insane amount of hours into Revelations 2’s raid mode. It’s incredibly fun and adds a ton of replayability. Both 1 and 2 are solid games!

Tbh i loved Revelations 2 couch co-op was hilarious to play through.
I really like Revelations 1 and 2. It is a fun game in a beloved franchise to keep you busy. However, both are very short in terms of story, so keep that in mind as well.
The Revelations series has always been experimental. RV1 was designed on a brand new console (first handheld RE game), and RV2 was built as a test on a new business structure (episodic games were really the thing back in 2012-2015), and to test if the fans wanted a more horror focus (RV2 has a lot more exploration and frights and it's undeniable). Therefore, they had a LOT of recycling and half-inspired design, but they were still very good
and the GBC has Resident Evil Gaiden...
i really like revelations 1, and it can get kinda scary at times. ive played it on switch and 3ds. today i got revelations 2, and for an hour straight i was terrified
Both of these games are good especially Revelations 2 👍
arjab roy but the campaign was crap kinda. The split ruined it. Love Claire tho.
I think these two really hold up best on their home consoles. Rev 1 on 3DS just feels different with it's touchscreen controls and such. Just feels right. Same with 2 on the Vita, it's just the right level of quality to portability to pick out of your pocket, play a round of raid while waiting at the drive thru, then throw it back in and go about your day. Switch ..ain't portable. Whatever way you slice it, even the Lite is just slightly too big to really be pocketable comfortably.
Just because it doesn't fit in your pocket doesn't mean it isn't portable 😅 "able to be easily carried or moved, especially because being of a lighter and smaller version than usual" so yes the switch is portable 😂
@@pneuma6421 I consider portable to mean that you don't need to be constantly aware of the device. I'm an obsessive Tactics Ogre guy, so when the latest entry was on Switch, I tried for months to find a good solution to carrying it around. Ultimately I ended up just keeping it safe at home, and bringing a different device with me on the go. Switch is technically portable ..but not comfortable portable. The joy cons never sit cozy in a pocket, lint and pocket stuff gets in the sticks, the tablet portion is fine. I always hoped for some more PSP esque joy cons to come out. I tried a cousin's Lite for a while too, but the sticks stuck out just slightly too far to not constantly feel like it was battering around in a vest.
Revelations 1 are probably one of my favorite games
Absolutely love the second one rev2 is up there with re4 tbh it’s almost perfect but I never played the first one but I bought the bundle even if I hate the first one I get the second one for 16 dollars which is way less than I payed on 360 the fact you gotta rebuy games on the new console really fucks me off tho
Revelations 1-2 are both amazing resi games. They are the true 5-6 sequels we should have gotten. Resi 5 was fun but lacked any sense of horror. Which these two games do very well. Resi 6 is a mess with an identity crisis, and should only be played with Leon.
6 was just a mess of hot garbage.
5 was critically aclaimed it was fantastic and ahead of its time. 6 WAs trash though
@@popevhat9539 there's nothing about Resident Evil 5 that was way ahead of its time.
Totally agree with you on RE6 and only playing as Leon. I played Leon first and thought it was great. I was extremely disappointed after playing with the other characters. I couldn't even finish RE6, it really bummed me out hey.
@@popevhat9539 I still prefer RE4 by a mile over RE5 but I still think RE5 is a solid game. I played through RE5 co-op with my sister and it's one of my favourite gaming memories
I'm actually a really big fan of RE5, 6 and the more action-oriented titles. I would love it if all Revelation mechanics/controls/weapons will be adopted in upcoming RE games. I really want to play RE4 but the controls are just too weird for me.
I personally really enjoyed both of these games back when I played them not too long ago on PS4. They definitely feel like great games, not just okay like Jake mentioned. Highly enjoyable. Revelations feels like Resi 4, without all the explosions and action of 5 and 6 (not that those were bad games, or that that's technically a bad thing, they just weren't horror. Still great Resi games besides that, by all means.) Walking around the levels and scanning around for extra items like herbs (you pick up herbs in both, but each herb magically morphs into first-aid spray...odd) and ammo, along with whats lying around naturally.
My only issues with the game is the main enemies you fight in Jill's campaign, and the dodge system. They are always staggering around and randomly speeding up, and every time they grab you it just feels really cheap. The dodge system isn't an active one like in 6, to where to could roll in 4 directions, instead only being able to dodge with a perfectly timed X button. Terrible system in my opinion, but you get used to it after a few hours of playing it. (it also has a raid mode, but it's not nearly as fleshed out as the second game. Highly comparable to 6's raid mode, which definitely isn't a bad thing, but better in some ways.)
Revelations 2 was also a great game like the original, but in a different way. It's two player co-op, and has you still run around with the partner in single player. It definitely feels at least in story mode that you either need a lot of patience in single player while you deal with the complete garbage AI partner who always stands in the way of zombies and is generally just really annoying (I really feel like shit AI and Capcom are entirely synonymous with each other.) The story in it is pretty great, and although you could tell it was episodic like the first, I wouldn't say that's a bad thing. It helps as a great refresher when you take a break from it and come back and wondered what's happened in the story, and what currently is going on.
The raid mode like Jake mentioned is *FANTASTIC* , addictive, and generally lots of fun. Starts out in a hub with you being able to choose your character, and you being able to unlock more down the line, including fan favorites like the badass Leon, or hulked Chris. You level up and find weapons in it, with each character being able to hit level 100 *and* being able to have every skill and explosive maxed out in rank. It has many levels to it with difficulty modes to each level, with it of course getting harder and harder as it goes on. *TONS* of fun with a friend, with really high replayability, no doubt.
Both are definitely worth the money, though I would play both on console/console-mode for the Switch as they don't really feel portable, despite what Jake says, at least in my opinion. (They seem like games you can play for hours and hours, not just randomly pick up and start playing and then immediately stop whenever convenient.) 8/10 for the original, and a solid 9/10 for the second game. Both games were already great with just the single player, but the raid modes in both really helped boost my score for both.
Wonder if the one person that liked this is the one person that read it. Also the person that wrote it. Im sure you had something interesting to sat but its a comment section yo. Start a channel and make a video if you have a lot to say.
I decided to read it all and you need to learn to write better, especially since you have so much to say. You definitely liked your own comment.
@@garrysmith5562 This is a 4 year old comment. Nobody cares, necro.
I really recommend these games. They are a return to form for the series but, if I had to choose out of these two games , I would choose Revelations 2. Reason being is Revelations 1 has a clumsy convoluted story that includes pacing breaking segments that detract from the excellent atmosphere of the rest of the game . Had the game kept its focus on survival horror rather than these out-of-place action sequences, the flow and immersion of the story would have been substantially better. Despite it's weak story, terrible support cast, and immersion breaking moments the campaign is one of the stronger experiences in recent resident evil games for fans of the originals. While at times Revelations 1 stumbles , it still manages to be a step in the right direction. 7.7/10
In Revelations 2 the narrative, oddly enough, is told in such a way that the story is actually intriguing. It has great challenging gameplay, loads of features, diverse locations, and consistent atmosphere . While the game suffers from stupid design choices such as an unneeded episodic release, delayed online co-op, and muddy textures, I still found this to be the best Resident Evil game I played in a long time. Resident Evil Revelations 2 is a great purchase for any fan of the series and feels like a true successor to Resident Evil 5 with the spirit of Code Veronica.
8.0/10
Why is it that im always coming to this channel when im thinking about getting a game oh wait its cause this channel rocks
It's $0.77 on steam right now and I'm still hesitant, haha. Here to see if I should.
Did you pick it up man?
I just bought it
I am just playing RE2 now in 2019. I got all episodes and bonus episode for around $20 on Steam. I have to say this game is much more fun that most if all of the big titles I have played recently.
They were fun. the first felt like a throwback to 96 with new controls. the second kinda felt like a rehashed Code: Veronica.
My mate and I didn't realise that the co-op is local only, he lives 600 miles away.... We were pissed to say the least
you still have Raid Mode.
ManuMIAS yeah we played it, were just pissed that we bought all the episodes on steam, worst the steam page said multilayer and co-op. Annoyed at capcom for making it local only for no reason. And steam for not being more specific
Ghost didnt someobe create a PC patch to implement PC coop?
DieHardjagged really? Do you know of the name of it or anything? We tried the gamestream moonlight but it had a second of lag, made it impossible to play
I remember the opposite happened to me and my bro when I got dead island. It said co-op, but you could only play co-op online -_-
RE revelations was the first RE game I ever played and it got me hooked on the franchise and i REALLY like the crouching ability in RE Rev 2
I am familiar with Revelations 2 and I would rate it as 3rd best Resident Evil game. It is somewhat better than RE5. Claire is awesome main character and Raid mode sure keeps it alive. I decided to 100lv my favorite character(s), which will take some time. It was my Halloween game 2017 and really worth it.
No mention of the fantastic Gyro controls? The motion controls for aiming in this game are so good that they breathe new life into it. I've already got 80+ hours on the Xbox One yet this new Switch collection makes me want to experience it all over again.
Hope they patch them in for the Pro-Controller since it doesn't work with Gyro aiming for whatever reason.
i already bought this game for the switch i just love this channel.
I just completed Revelations 1 and currently playing thru the 2nd one. I had a bit more fun with the 1st one than I'm having with the 2nd, but the 2nd feels more engrossing imo with the story. Way more mechanics than the first, which is kinda hit or miss, but so far it's pretty good.

The Raid Modes are just amazing, especially in Rev 1. It hits me the same way Monster Hunter does, and I love it. Rev 2 shines best played couch co-op, easily. Rev 2 Raid mode just needed a level like the Ghost Ship and Ghost Ship Chaos, a gauntlet that tests your skill and endurance and it would have been amazing too. I also really loved the main games, but I'm biased towards RE and enjoy everything RE, except Gaiden and O:RC
Thank you, genuinely helped me decide to get the games before the eShop closure tomorrow. Surprisingly, it says there is a sale going on until the 29th and this is one of the titles on sale. But if the eShop stops accepting purchases on the 27th, I don't know why they would run a sale on it until the 29th. So I'm confused about that. 🤣
I played REVELATIONS 1 on the 3ds, ps3 and ps4 and same in REVELATIONS 2 on psvita, ps3 and ps4. And I should say I'll play it again just because

This is all in service for Revelations 3 on Switch. I had a lot of fun with R2 on my PS4 so it's a buy. Especially for only 20 bucks for portability.

Ironically I'm watching this after I bought, because that's just how I roll. #ballin
First got Rev1 on PS3 and never got around to it as I don't play my PS3 much anymore. Then got it on gameboy 3DS for 15$ and never got around to it lol cuz pokemon. Then got it on PS4 for 26$.... Finally played it. Quickly, just to get through it to hype myself up for RE2 remake, and Rev1 was actually really good. I liked the whole idea of the ship and how you could travel all around the ship freely. There were a few special keys you had to find (almost as original as RE1 and RE2 feel there, but not quite). No zombies kind of felt weird at first but got used to it quickly. Liked the gun parts you could find around the ship to upgrade your firearms. Also lots of ammo storage upgrades you can find in the game which are also nice to have. Also the story was pretty good. Filled in a large gap of BSAA storyline. Lots of B-Rated style characters and most of them died off but one. Maybe we will see him in a future game.. overall it was nice to have Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine together in a game again. Personally it felt very original and fitting to the main storyline of what became the end of resident evil.
Beat Rev1 just yesterday over 1 week playing it now getting onto Rev2 and so far so good 👍
I think that the RE: Revelations 1 is the best 3rd person RE game out there, because that game managed to scare me more than the other 3rd person RE ever did. But it still can't beat the original RE trilogy (RE 1-3)
As for the RE: Revelations 2, well...it's not a bad game or anything. It's just that I hated that episodic chapter system that broke the immersion to the game and made me feel like I was watching an TV series rather than playing a game.
I do have to point out that I absolutely hate that co-op character that the 3rd person RE games have had, because it totally ruins the horror theme. You never had to scare for your life, because you always had that partner watching your back and rescuing you when you ran into trouble. Thankfully the Revelations series had less of that co-op element in them, so those games weren't as bad as the RE5 & RE6 were, but it's still there.
Are these games worth to buy?
No, at least not for me. I've already played both of those games on the PC when they came out, so the Switch version doesn't bring anything new to the table except that you can now play them on handheld device. But the thing is that the Switch's handheld mode never really interested me, as ~95% of my playtime with the switch is on docked mode. (mobile gaming just ain't my thing)
Don't know about console versions, but PC version's camera, controls and gunplay are awful in both
Revelations 1 feels too much like a random shitty tv series from Netflix, rather than actual survival-horror game in terms of story
Revelations 2 has The worst boss fight ever imo (only thing that moved the bed of chaos)
To be honest the ports of the two revelations are actually pretty damn good compared to other ports ( Rime, LA noir, Doom, Rocket League and more) but the load screens are really looooooong.
But it's a good game for the little nintendo switch, I think it really suit it.
I like the idea of the switch getting ports to it, but I wish there was more new original games being released that appeal to me and other gamers, but I support more ports of different games arriving on the switch, I hope GTA San Andreas has a switch port remastered and multiplayer included, since I like LA noire with being detective, but I prefer just making chaos in the game.
Wait i thought all those ports were extremely solid except for rime.
Resident Evil Revelations 1 & 2 are the last games where the series felt like Horror Survival.
Then we received RE7 which people praise and also said it was to scary…
I actually think RE7 is boring & makes no sense story wise & when 8 came out it really ruined the mainline series storyline.
With adding mythical monsters we are believed to be because of the mold.
RE Village is not Resident Evil to me.
7 may have rebooted the series & sold well with 8 but its not survival horror. Its action cinema with some themes of gore.
Revelations is 1 is awesome because its Jill & Chris! It feels how it does cause it was a 3DS title ported to everything. I think they did a great job with the timeline in REV1 with adding a throw away boss.
Revelations 2 is hands down my favorite RE game. Its creepy, it horror, its survival, its all about how you approach the settings to make your characters not die. The fact Claire & Berry are there, chefs kiss! As far adding Alex Wesker & killing her, I felt that was dumb on capcoms part.
I think if more people played Revelations 2 compared to 5,6,7,8 they would see that you actually need to think and conserve. The story is also great! Compared to 5-8.
However with the rebrand people keep wondering where Revelations 3 is.
I think in RE8 that final section of Robots was meant for REV3 but they didnt know how to continue the story of REV3 as they killed off another Wesker who could in theory continued the original characters story.
But I think without Claire being in a main game, it really makes a bunch of stuff condiluted. A shame really.
But if Revelations 3 is to continue I could see it being better than the mainline series. As the mainline series is now a moldy, identity crisis, of Chris induced franchise.
I'll wait for a sale. Right now I'm happy playing skyrim and Fifa 18, soon I'll get Mario and I'll be set.
squalltheonly plz don't support ea and you can't play with your friends online
The game is on sale right now for $14. Buy it!
The Pixel Addict just got bayonetta
I loved both. Especially 2.
I loved both of these games!!! After that crap in RE4 and 5 these ARE games of the year!
I think you meant 5 and 6. 4 was really good.
@@presidentc4 RE4 is definitely a great game. But it also gave us quick time events, more action based RE games instead of horror, corny dialog, etc. It was soley responsible for every reason people hate on RE5 and 6. So for everything good it gave us, it also gave us as much terrible games for years after it.
@Albert Wesker Haha no it wouldn't have, with the film series and knowing Capcom, they would've shoved this series down our throats for years to come. I like RE4 but it's what murdered the series for almost a decade. RE 2 Remake is what 4 should've been all those years ago, and considering the beta footage it's what they wanted at first, which is why it boogies my mind the direction 4 took.
i dont know why is he making a video that before you buy why whats your problem of buying the game🙁
Resi revelations 1 is the second best resi, after resi 4 of course
its a shame those are your favorites, you dont even seem to like actual resident evil games do you lol
jerrymack95 how dare you say resi 4 is not a real resi game 😔
Tbh I always felt the first revalations was more survival horror then 4, the second felt way to action packed for me
I LOVED RE:R1 on the 3DS. I just got a Switch, and now I think it's time to finally play RE:R2
I like revelations 2, I would say 7.5/10
Tool0GT92 I would say 9.5
8/10
8.5/10
Raid mode 10/10
I finished Revelations 2 a week ago and was pleasantly surprised. Having played the first Revelations as a 12 year old kid 9 years ago I always thought 1 was better than 2. After buying 1 on Switch I'm realizing I had nostalgia goggles on the whole time. 2 is better in my opinion. 1 feels very outdated since it was developed with the 3DS in mind and not a TV console.
Are the episodes for it available online for Xbox 360 ?
These are actually awesome games. Buy them. They were made a long time ago on weak weak handheld consoles. But the gameplay mechanics are solid and the storylines are cool. And yes they were made for handhelds so of course they’re not going to be as much of an in depth experience as a console that you hook up to your tv.
the bundle with both of them is on sale and re2 is too which one should i get? im pretty new to re
@@human9257 well, RE2 is hard to beat, but both revelations game are awesome too. Buy both. Buy all the resident evil games you can find. They’re all really good.
@@benbarker3978 i will soon enough but i can't buy all at the same time
I really hope they make a Revelations 3 :( *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* *SPOILERS* Cause they kinda left us on a cliffhanger at the end of R2
Falfool yes I'm hoping for a Revelations 3 as much as a RE8 or RE2 remake lol
Revelations 2 is Capcom trying to copy the success of both Telltale games (episodic format) and the Last of Us (foul mouthed sidekick girl). They first tried to copy Nathan Drake in Resi 6 (Wesker's son) but they failed miserably.
RER1 on the 3DS is my favorite RE. RE2 on the Xbox is my second favorite. RE1 is my third favorite, with the Deadly Silence edition being the best in my opinion (apart from the remaster, of course).
Also btw RE2’s story is one of the best RE stories in the series. It has a very interesting timeline system, where you go between the past and present for long periods of time. It’s cool.
RE7 is by far the “best” besides Code Veronica (for it’s difficulty), but that’s more of an overall fact. I have personal reasons for choosing the ones I did as my favorites. Don’t hate.
Also raid-mode endgame is really awesome. One of my favorite things to do during my free time is listen to podcasts and play raid mode. I occasionally come across players on the RER1 3DS raid mode with around 1,000 hours logged. That speaks volumes about its replayability. I play a ton of different games tho, so I’m nowhere near that lol
I’ve heard that Revelations was somehow detrimentally different on PC and earlier consoles compared to the 3DS original, and you guys alluded to that as well, but I was disappointed you didn’t go into what those differences were which made the 3DS original superior. Can anyone elaborate?
DeusGladiorum It was originally built as a handheld game first and they didn't really do anything to improve upon it when porting it to consoles. So while it looks amazing on the 3DS, kinda not so much on a PS4. Just over all better played on the 3DS.
The game has several parts made to look good in 3D, and a couple parts made for the touch screen, but all in all the port is far better. While the graphics could have got more of an upgrade when it was ported, the game feels far better and has more content on the port. Capcom basically just forgot about the 3DS version and only put DLC and extra content on the port.
I've recently been putting together a Resident Evil collection...🤘🏼💯✔️
I think they are both 10x better than RE7. They have much more replayability, enjoyment, interesting features, jump scares, story line, and just plain story. Once you have played RE7 on each difficulty it is just plain boring and the all the DLC for it is incredibly lame and extremely overpriced. Not to mention the Not a Hero DLC being delayed 8!!! MONTHS.
deadheart nah Rev1 sucks.
not to mention you actually care for the characters
The first revelations is a masterpiece
NINTENDOOOOOOOOOO

I still wondering why re rev 2 devs didn't let us break the record cameras on the wossek(the bar cabine) and prison area that the overseer was using them to spy on her experiments subjects like claire and moira
I mean wasn't claire smart enough to realize that there someone who spy on her using fixed cameras? like this one 4:15
devs should give us the medal challenge of shooting cameras instead of tower emblems
tower emblems don't make sense to the story
I fell in love with revelation 1 on 3ds back then I found it so amazing that this type of game was on the DS it was like a console experience on a DS
just bought the game for 0.77 .. i think i made a good choice buying this game xD
Damn that's a steal
I only played the reboots. Do i need to know anything else about the games to play this?
Like I’m going anywhere besides my house.
Playing the first on 3ds was a pretty good time I remember. Not much reason to go back though. That's why it's been sitting on my shelf for over five years
I feel like you nailed the synopsis. I hated revelations 1. I thought the story was slow, and the enemy design was awful. Plus I played it on the 3ds. However 2 is 100x better imo. You aren't wrong with how you described it, but I felt that the switching between characters wasn't that bad. I hated playing as Barry and Natalia because that is when it was most tedious. Where as mioria was more fun to blind and beat the crap out of enemies all in all 2>1 by alot!
I really like these games, probably I'll will buy them again
No excuse for Capcom for not being able to fit both games in one cartridge! Psvita was able to two games in one like metal gear solid 2 and 3, God of war 1 and 2. If they really can’t. Why can’t they make one more cartridge for revelation 2?!
Basically unless you really love REA games then buy the bundle with them both that's what I did and I really like them. I've played majority of the games more then once and I still find the campaigns fun to do again for the 3rd-4th time
I never played this game and now I wanna buy it on my PlayStation 4 system.
RER 1 was a massive achievement (and still is) for a 3DS game that came out 6yrs ago
Revelations 1 and 2 are both on sale at the Eshop rn, they’re 13 dollars each
I like revelations 1 it was really creepy but revelations 2 is more action relationship oriented
RER1 is a decent game, and I enjoyed it for what it was. I just feel that beating it wasn't really entirely satisfying. I didn't really feel connected to any of the new people. The only ones I genuinely liked were Keith and Quint and you barely see them in game, and I feel like the whole Genesis thing was pretty unnecessary, and I often didn't really use it, aside from when I needed it. I feel like it could've been more implemented a bit better, other than it just pointing out hidden items.
As for RER2, I really enjoyed it. I thought it was great. I feel like I could care about the partner characters a lot more, than in RER1. And how the partner characters had a better connection to the story than the other ones in RER1. Moira being Barry Burtons daughter. And the back story for her was tragic, and why she doesn't
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
use guns. And the ultimatum that she either had to get the gun, or let Claire getting the gun was an excellent factor for the ending
*END SPOILER*
All in all, if you want to get the games, I would recommend them. Though, no one still plays the online mode. Which is a shame. Raid Mode is fun with a friend.
