I fly my Tello daily at 100 feet up, and out to 100 yards with good video and control using a wifi repeater and a power bank. The wind will take that thing for a ride though. All in all a great first timers flyer. Great tip for outside flying is to keep in fast mode. Makes it a lot easier to fight the wind.

Hi. At 7:40 you had stated that the Gamesir T1D did not work. I bought the tello in a combo kit that came with the gamesir T1D. And it works perfect with my iPhone X. You just use the tello app to connect to it. Don’t use the Bluetooth setting on your phone. It connects via the tello app. Of course you have to connect to the tello WiFi , just wanted to let you know. Thanks!

When i got past half battery life the screen froze and i had to turn everything off and start again. I had full control but it was a frozen image. I notice yours is having trouble as well. Just seen it was 5 years ago.

1:50 if you have kids using the throw and go feature.. tell them to throw the drone up gently in a horizontal position (when it tilts towards them during the throw it will attack the thrower)

Have you noticed your underside getting warm to hot? Mine gave me a warning notice, then shut down. I waited then turned it back on. No warning but it did still felt pretty warm after completing my flight. Not sure if this is normal?

The remote is kind of weird after setting it up. In the directions you have to turn on the remote for a few seconds and then click on the wifi button. Whats odd is that its running bluetooth not wifi. But you should be able to see it in your bluetooth setting.

Hi, Did you happen to get video lag when using the Bluetooth controller? The reason I ask is that I just received my PXN Speedy Controller and I also have the Gamevice controller. I’ve heard people having all kinds of issues with the video feed skipping frames. I just did a quick test with both of the Controllers and I found the the video feed when using the PXN Speedy was very choppy whereas the video feed when using the Gamevice controller is very smooth. Because the PXN Speedy Controller is connected via Bluetooth and the Gamevice is not, my only conclusion is that the Bluetooth seems to be interfering with the video feed.
As an update to the original content, for people looking to get a controller & tello in 2021 the Gamersir T1d controller is now compatible with iOS.

Never leave your battery in the drone, it will drain out, and store your battery at the first low voltage warning, thanks for uploading this
Isn't it better to store batteries fully charged?
In bounce mode you can let the drone bounch on your hand. So it will go down until the sensors underneath sens something like your hand

Ya it's a fun lil guy. Ya it's like the Spark where you just have to fly with a remote and not on a phone.
Careful finding a controller while recording. There isn't a great remote out for the tello that doesn't interfere with the video while recording.

Got my kids one then they wanted to have a drone battle, so I used my phantom and we had the battle. Now they watch me fly. Good times with the kids.

Bounce mode is designed for you to do it from your hand try it....keep your hand under it.... Looks like its bouncing off your hand
