I received my T1d today and connected it via Bluetooth to my Tello. Unfortunately it had a stability issue that I did not experience with the cell phone app. It was really sensitive and did not hover as well as with the phone app so returned it for a refund. I paid a higher price than what you are showing when I bought it from Amazon of $49.00. Had to pay for shipping to the seller, but it was still worth it rather than trying to sell it on Ebay. I hope this helps others that might be considering one and perhaps my experience is a rare event.

Thanks for the video, Dennis. I have the T1D and the connection is unlike anything done with Bluetooth device pairing that I've seen. By the way, I just checked and the Tello app doesn't crash with my Pixel 1 and it works just like it does on the iPhone 6+ that I use for drone stuff.

I was so frustrated till I did a search on RUclips and saw this video. In the first 2 minutes and 30 seconds I had my answers. The instructions with the controller are totally worthless. Gamesir should pay you because without your advice I was lost.
Works great with my Galaxy S7, sometimes have to press the bluetooth connection a few times but once connected works great with very little input lagg.
The T1S is 100% comparable with iOS and android among with pc and even ps3. But all those options are for the T1S. I have iPhone 7 and android 8 something and the T1S works with everything. Another feature it has otg capabilities so you can use a otg to android and great better response and much no video latencey. PlusT1s are easier to get ahold of. $22.56 shipped and got It n 5 days.

Hey there, just got my t1d -- my Note8 fits in the holder just fine, bit top heavy though, but works. While it does fit with the case I have, it doesn't grip very well, and would pop out easily. Without a case, grips much better.
Just recently received a update and I think I had read that a battery over heat issue was fixed is this true and when I go to setting to see if there is update the update button is highlighted in blue so iam thinking there is a update but when I click it is sais latest update so when I see a highlighted blue update button does it necessarily mean that there is a update?

the most recent update to the Tello application made it so the T1s worked. I myself had the T1s and used it fine with Tello and my Samsung Note 8. I did however return the T1s because i could not use the stick configuration mode that i wanted to and because the left stick up (making the drone gain altitude was very finicky in that it had to push just right in order for it to fly up and not turn at the same time)
Can you test the T1d controller on an android game? It seems ludicrous to me that it won't work, as the DJI website is claiming. This would be very helpful.
Just got mine t1d gamesir controller today and it's not working with my sony xperia xz premium. Don't know what might be the issue because phone Bluetooth recognises controller but it's not showing in Tello app. Maybe in future update this will be solved.
T1S is compatible as of 12 September 2018. The T1d is purely basic and does not allow connection to pc etc, etc,, however I have both (T1s and T1d) for 29 euro for the basic (T1d) or pay 10 euro more for the T1s with ability to use it for many devices.

I was not aware of that. Maybe you can access it from here: apkpure.com/t1d-upgrade-tool/com.xiaoji.dfu and maybe it's no longer necessary to go through this process. Hopefully if you have a newer controller it will connect without problems. Let us know how it goes.
WELL, I managed to get mine from a local hobby shop here in surfers paradise, well i googled them and they ordered it in for me, but honestly, bro DJI stock them now as well as a couple of other models. so peeps just head to DJI website follow tello link for the above remote.

The t1s does work with the tello on Android. Just set it up no problems.

Ash, You need the app. And WiFi connection to do any stunts.

Something else you missed is that on android with the t1d as of the moment you can only use the default stick configuration

Download the Tello app for iOS and you can control it with the app over Wifi.

Unfortunately it does not extend the range. You're still limited to the wifi connectivity between your mobile device and Tello.

Maybe it's no longer necessary. See if you can connect via Bluetooth without having to use the firmware tool.

I just measured the max distance from bottom to top clip when fully expanded and it's right at 3.25". I hope that helps.

Make sure you are flying in a well lit area. Sensors and lighting are important for maintaining stability and judging distance.
